»» ──────ஓ๑⚚๑ஓ ────── «« ᴄᴏɴᴛʀᴀʀʏ ᴛᴏ ᴘᴏᴘᴜʟᴀʀ belief, the angel wasn't very unnerved by a lot of things. of course, things others said would shake him internally, but he was good at hiding it on the outside. he pardoned things like curses and recollections of terrible past experiences ; it was something he had to grow used to due to living among demons. but the one thing he never managed to get over was jump scares, which both luke and solomon loved to tease him about. it was the perfect kind of go-to prank for them. so when he rounded the corner on his way back to his room, water bottle in hand, he had to have jumped at least three feet in the air when spencer jumped out at him, TRIPPING as he landed and sending his capless bottle flying. his hands gripped at his chest in an attempt to come down from the terror high, not realizing just how much water was pooling at his feet, dampening the rug in the hallway as he blinked up in surprise. ❝ s-spencer ... ! wh-why'd you do that? ❞

❝ water is what gives us life. we need it to survive, more than anything else. so if the springs dry up, particularly the sacred springs within the palace where michael resides, it becomes a massive source of worry for those of the celestial realm. to angels, water, especially water PURIFIED by seraphs, is the essence of life itself. ❞

»» ──────ஓ๑⚚๑ஓ ────── «« ɪᴛ ᴡᴀꜱɴ'ᴛ ᴛʜᴀᴛ he was upset, per se, more like ... annoyed. with himself, mostly, for making such a stupid mistake, but he couldn't swallow that tiny bit of irritability he felt towards luke for sharing such an embarrassing occasion to all of his friends at rad. as an angel, his duty was to remain calm, composed, and empathetic to all beings, free of sins like wrath and envy in everything he did. but that banquet was really important to diavolo, and as an angel who wanted to tie the string of alliance between the devildom and the celestial realm even tighter, he wanted to make sure the demon prince was satisfied. he always appeared as such, but he could still sense an underlying air of disappointment from the prince when he got the news that the fresh-baked cinnamon cookies from the celestial realm wouldn't be at the banquet.

❝ ... as swimmingly as the banquet went, i still cannot shake my disappointment for not being able to present my cinnamon cookies, ❞ he admits, fidgeting with the gold tie that kept both sides of his cape from sliding off of him. ❝ we all want our worlds to be at peace. and the prince appeared disappointed when i didn't give him the cookies. and it was all because i made a very silly error. i ... didn't keep track of how long they were in the oven. devildom ovens are very, very strong, and i simply did not anticipate this. but ... i guess it's FINE, right? lord diavolo and barbatos both appeared pleased at the end of the celebration. ❞

»» ──────ஓ๑⚚๑ஓ ────── «« ʜᴇᴀʀɪɴɢ ᴛʜᴇ ᴅᴇᴍᴏɴ'ꜱ concerns was enough to make the angel get straight to his feet, alarm clear in his expression and the way he moved. ❝ fire? ... oh, shoot, i forgot about the cinnamon cookies ... ! ❞ he thought he'd be much better at remembering to complete such a task, especially since he and luke were both getting into confectionery together. to make matters worse, those treats were supposed to be offered at the upcoming banquet at the demon lord's castle. he rushed into the kitchen, immediately noticing just how bright the oven was with flames that were almost completely breaking out of the machine. he briefly considered containing the fire by generating a snowstorm cloud, but his powers were severely compromised by the magical encasement of the devildom. instead, he turned off the oven and, grabbing the pitcher of filtered water, wasted no time in peeling the cover off and dousing the entire pan.

❝ ... aw, man ... ❞ the angel was quick to mope as soon as he realized how DAMAGED not only his goods but the whole kitchen became due to his inaction. to make matters worse, two of his offerings of the banquet were completely ruined ; not just his cookies, but now the pitcher of fully filtered spring water from the celestial realm was gone.

»» ──────ஓ๑⚚๑ஓ ────── «« ❝ … ʏᴇᴀʜ. ɪ'ᴍ ɢᴜᴇꜱꜱɪɴɢ you're thinking what i'm thinking, right? ❞ solomon had clearly been cooking ( more like attempting to cook ) again. the kitchen was in complete disarray, dirtied pots, pans, plates, and utensils covering almost every inch of all the available surfaces in the room. to make matters worse, there was an absolutely abhorrent scent wafting from the oven ; it reminded the angel of the smell of beel's sweaty gym socks which he once had to wash due to a lost bet between him and satan, mixed with a toilet cleaning solution often used in the human world. he turned his head away, trying not to gag as he led spencer out of the room. ❝ we'd better find solomon to come clean this mess up before it attracts pests. i doubt anyone else would DREAM of going in there until it's in better shape ... and until it stops reeking of ... whatever that was we were smelling in there. ❞
