It's just so interesting to me that we haven't actually yet received a full commitment from the show on what the nature of Wen and Alan's relationship presently is. Obviously it exists and it's going to be complicated and messy as hell but why the completely nonchalant reactions from Wen's close loved ones? why does his dad not know whether they're still together or even his name? Is it going to be a situation where Jim like finds out about Alan and THINKS they're together and it brings up a lot of old trauma and miscommunication bw him and Wen but really Alan and Wen are still living together despite being separated? Or like maybe Wen has tried to break up with Alan before but for some reason hasn't managed to make it happen? But if that was the case how would he get the break up to stick like how we saw in the trailer with the Alan/Jim fight? And isn't the Occam's razor here simply that they actually are in a long term relationship and everything else is just overcomplicating it?? But also WHY the reactions from his dad and his friend???? And why would Wen himself be so chill about it when we can clearly see from his interactions with the other characters that he is capable of a lot of empathy and emotional intelligence and even had a lot of guilt/conflict over working for the company that wants to demo the chicken diner?????? I AM SO VEXED I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON!
