DETAIL + DEPTH | Here is a fun vinyasa in Krounchasana, Heron Pose, which will take our sequence a step closer to the peak pose, Parsvottanasana. From the last pose in Uttanasana, splitting the legs will increase the hamstring stretch of the top/ front leg. The arms and spine will work together to prep for the transition of coming into the forward fold with the hands internally rotated in Anjali Mudra. If the chair seat is too high, use a block or two. ⁣ ⁣ Start leaning forward with the hands on the chair seat if possible. Already you will feel the hamstring stretch. With an inhale, lift the spine and arms. With an exhale, widen the arms to the side and immediately turn the palms back to internally rotate the arms. On the same long exhale, bring the hands together behind the back in Reverse Anjali Mudra. Inhale, lift the spine and curl back over the tips of the fingers. Exhale, fold to or toward the front leg. Inhale come to vertical, release and lift the arms. Exhale, return to the starting position with the hands on the chair seat, spine reaching up and forward.
