it is genuinely really frustrating how fandom will look at a dude who doesn’t respect women at all and treats them like shit and be like “oh haha he’s gay clearly”. like yeah sure maybe he is and maybe he has a super homoerotic relationship with another dude that the author didn’t necessarily intend but you do know that misogyny is still bad right. also acting like gay men are inherently shitty to women doesn’t help anybody.

#regardless of how ‘gay’ the story is. you can’t just brush off the fact that the creator does not care abt women enough to write them well #it’s like the ‘when the source material is so misogynistic it becomes gay lol’ but like #hey. that should be a strike against it. misogyny is bad did you guys forget that #yeah it does happen irl where gay men think they get a pass to be shitty to women just bc they’re not attracted to them #(and yes. there’s nuance. sometimes. but these are tumblr tags)#but it’s weird that fandom wants to like. borderline encourage that behavior
