in final stretches of my first layer cake attempt for my sister’s birthday
#honestly pretty tricky but sooo fun i love baking i love it#while making it i was like what if i started a casual side hustle doing these for friends and relatives#considering there aren't many bakeries around for this kind of thing#and then i calculated the cost of ingredients and was like... nvm#like i'm happy to do this for free on a case by case basis but local cost of ingredients is ixnay on this as an actual business model. sighh#hhhh. really big revelations on like. why a lot of Event Cakes taste like that (gross)#to do this at industrial scale and make money... that isn't butter or buttermilk or anything like that being used#anyway i'm falling in love with you
