it's gonna be interesting to see if any well established d&d streams/shows/podcasts will finally move away from d&d. critical role will almost certainly NOT do that, taz tried and had listenership and (from what I could tell) fan ingagement go WAY down. dimension 20 and the people it brings to droupout are likely the only things keeping whats left of college humor alive so a drop in viewer ship would be terrible for them.

ultimately i think that the people that are just now wanting to leave d&d were the people already on the edge of doing so and I'm not sure matt mercer, the mcelroys, or brennan lee mulligan were those people and mercer still doesn't seem to understand just how massive he and his show are and how important it was to d&d (not action fantasy ttrpgs but specifically d&d) making a comeback
