Hey! I'm a huge fan of your work (especially Shadowhunters and PJO, and don't get me started on High Warlock of Venice!!!), and I was wondering if you were accepting prompts and, if so, what the rules were about sending them?
First of all - thanks for the love! *smiles*
I have a list of rules on my profile on FFNet. I’ma just copy/paste them for you;
REQUEST RULES
1.) If you have a request, be polite. Ask for it, don’t demand it. If you start your request with "I challenge you to" or "I prompt you to", I am twice as likely to shoot you down. You want something from me, be straight about that and ask.
2.) No requests for:
multiple-chapter stories; I’m not investing months of my time in a request
the following pairings: Jack/Elsa, Hiccup/Astrid, Jace/Clary, Magnus/Alec, Percy/Sally, Grover/Percy, Tyson/Percy, Percy/Annabeth, Nico/Will, Leo/Calypso, Leo/Percy, Frank/Percy, Percy/Hazel, and many others so please include the pairing you want in your request so I can tell you whether or not I write it
top/dominant Percy Jackson, Jace Herondale, Lance McClain or Jack Frost
shota, rape, explicit abuse, gore/blood/violence, cheating, prostitution, porn-settings (as in; one’s a porn star)
rewrites of existing plots like movies, fairy tales, books etc. (i.e.: “Write Romeo & Juliet with Nico as Romeo and Percy as Juliet!”)
only a pairing; don’t just spring a pairing at me and say “I want you to write more of this!”. If I had a plot for a pairing I like, I can assure you, I would be writing it. So if you want a pairing, request a plot for said pairing and we’ll see
fandoms I’m not a part of; chances are that if I haven’t written for the fandom yet and never mentioned any interest in said fandom, I’m not part of it or not interested enough in it to invest time in stories for it
3.) If you want a birthday present fic, then please request ahead of time. At least one month ahead, so I have time to actually write it. I’m not a typing-machine and I have a private life and enough own stories to work on too. Also, 2.) still fully applies.
So yeah. Take the guidelines and go by them. I very often just get PMs with “Write more XX/Percy!” and I really can assure you, if I had more plot-ideas for that pairing, I would already be writing it. But someone throwing a ship at me does not magically make ideas pop into my head. Not even my muse works that way.
And the part about politeness. I don’t need people groveling - some are really cutely insecure and tag a lot of pleases and such on - but I need a basic level of politeness. “Would you consider writing XXX”, or “Can I request XXX” are good starters, “I challenge you to write XXX” makes me hiss at the screen because that is a really cheap way of tricking someone into writing what you want without ‘lowering’ yourself into asking for it. I think the cheekiest ‘request’ I ever got was someone challenging me to write a 12 chapter Harry Potter fanfiction and just everything about that was wrong.
Also, the list above includes some ships I won’t do. There are more. Heck. There are ships I never thought someone shipped until I was requested to write them, so just because the pairing you request isn’t explicitely listed as a no-go doesn’t mean I do ship it or I will accept it. This is just the list of hard-no ships.
Fun fact: Chances of me saying “Yes” to my most popular and most written stories… actually the slimmest. Because you can estimate that I have about half a dozen open, own fics about it already that I’m working on because apparently, those ships are the ones I am most creative for myself, so I am far more picky about the plotline the request has.
Though that also generally applies. If you request a plotline that doesn’t excite me and make me want to write it, I would still end up saying no because I am really-really busy with all the fics I already got on my rather packed schedule, so I generally only include other people’s ideas in the form of requests if that request speaks to me.
…Which now really ended up sounding discouraging, which it is not supposed to be meant as. I just wanna make sure you know that - yeah, everyone is free to shoot me ideas and make requests, but you gotta keep in mind that contrary to what certain people claim, I am not a writing robot so I simply have to weed requests out or otherwise I’d drown in them. I get an average amount of a dozen requests a month and I just would not be physically able to write them all, even if I didn’t have my own stories and oneshots.
I am more likely to accept birthday requests because deadlines help. Casual requests often… get lost along the way because I push them off in favor of writing my own plots, until I accidentally push them into oblivion.

Eilonwy of Llyr, Genevive (Kennie) & Kathy [for the multimuse meme
send in the name of a muse you’re unfamiliar with, and i’ll tell you a few things about them, as well as how i think they’d get along with your muse! BONUS: if you’re also a multimuse, i’ll list some of your muses they might get along with.  // @hcathens
Eilonwy - high queen of prydain who had magic as a teen but her books are all about moving on from the magic ages so she had to give it up, the princess of a kingdom that exists no more. I have a descendants verse for her where Prydain is a kingdom that exists alongside Auradon so we can do something with those ppl. And I’ve been thinking about a pjo verse where her mom is the daughter of the welsh god Llyr that I haven’t fully expanded on but can make it up as I go along to write with the pjo characters!
Genevieve - withcy witch who lived in the 20s, was killed by evil vampires and then brought back to life in modern day. if we’re writing in new orleans then she is supposed to follow the rules of the ancestors who brought her back or she’ll be dead again, if it’s out of new orleans, my take is that her magic powers are greatly diminished although she still knows the theory. I could see her interacting with the twilight characters or aezieth.
Kathy - see I made her for a buffy/marvel rp so the backstory is that she was created as a clone from a slayer who died so she basically has all the buffy slayer perks and doesn’t age and usually ends up falling in with shield people and doing the superhero thing. besides pamela and flo, I I could also see her falling in with the shadowhunters people
