From inspiration to finished product 😊 (swipe to view the inspo shot!). A lot more pics required to show you all that goes on in between, mind 😂 but when I designed the tea towel at the end of 2020 I really wanted to create a design that was wholesome, positive and heart-warming. The hills in the background are inspired by my travels and family holidays as a little girl, gazing out the aeroplane window to the fields below I used to imagine them as being one big giant patchwork quilt. The colours and textures would always vary from country to country but nothing felt more familiar and welcoming than the fields on my home turf, even if the Scottish weather I was returning to was awful, which it usually was 😂 No explanation needed as to why I chose to include highland cows in the design.
