Bucky hated going on missions lately, knowing that Sharon was at home carrying their baby, and he didn't know how long it would be until he saw her. It was late when finally got home, the apartment only filled with light from the TV that Sharon had been watching. He smiled as soon as he saw her, wearing one of his t-shirts now now barley fit around her bump.

"Hi baby." Bucky whispered, kissing her softly as he got on to the couch with her, his arms wrapped around her waist as he lay down next to her. His head by her stomach as he trailed soft kisses against her bump. He wanted to just enjoy this moment before Sharon started going on at him about the mission and scolding him as soon as she saw the extend to his injuries. "How have you been? Steve gave Sharon a gentle frown. He was not always the best when it came to saying the right thing. He took her hand in his, allowing his fingers the run gently over hers. He was trying his best to be comforting. “ I don’t think we will ever know if we are ready to be parents. ” He looked at the test that was still waiting to be read at their bathroom sink. 

After her miscarriage, he knew neither of them were ever sure that this would be a possibility for them again. He gave her a gentle smile.  “ But I know we are going to give it our best shot. Because that is what we do. ”  Steve shrugged his shoulders.  “ No matter what that test says, I believe that someday you will be an amazing mother, and that we will figure this out, together. ”
