Dec 3? December 3rd? Haha, wouldn't it be funny if I- oh hey! Here's a new gameplay trailer for HKSTDOI3 Kingslayer! Our gameplay has come a long way, so we hope you enjoy this little look at how crazy our combat has gotten! All tied to some sick music, and some wild combos. We try to avoid any spoilers, so only the first chapter of the mod is properly shown. We hope you enjoy the trailer!
A feature that we recently implemented is a lock on! You can now lock on an enemy so you don't have to worry about camera controls. It's a pretty overpowered lock-on, similar to the dark souls lock on where it just stays on that enemy forever lmao.
Fun fact, we had a few more attacks we wanted to add to the movesets, but we physically ran out of buttons to use. The mod avoids using motion inputs to make it more accessible to hat players.
Oh yeah also, this area you keep seeing is the training mode! We have a dedicated mode for practicing your combos :D
Was feeling like Declaration 3's combat was missing something this whole time, and we finally discovered... it was hitstop! We just added hit stop to attacks and now the combat feels significantly better!!! Here's a nice little combo while we're at it. Haha.
We're approaching a release date soon for HKSTDOI: Kingslayer! We're soon gonna finish the final level, and then after that its bonus content and an ungodly amount of bug fixes. It's so close.................
Thought I would share this super fun string of combos I did on the first boss in Declaration 3. I love our movesets so much theyre super fun :D I go all the way to max rank in this video :D
A quick end of the year update on Declaration 3! To reiterate, Dec 3 will have 11 acts. Separated into "Operations". Example: 0-1 , 1-1, 1-2, etc. Each operation except for operation 0 ( the prologue / tutorial), is 3 acts long. And then of course, the finale act.
Current progress is as follows: All of operations 1 and 2 are done. 3 is in progress. As well as the tutorial level. We are doing the tutorial level this late into development, for the purposes of having the combat and moveset finalized for when we make the tutorial.
We are incredibly on track to release in a few months, but I don't wanna promise a definitive release date until operation 3 is nearing completion. After which we will be working on the extra side content (time rifts, and extra challenges). I hope you're all excited!!!
I would love to show off more content... But I wouldn't wanna spoil any of the surprises we have in store for you! In addition, we have a really cool little jam mod that should be releasing very shortly, within the next few days. I will reveal this mod upon its completion!
Working on some transitionary cutscenes for the tutorial level. Come check them out! Gonna be doing a bit of enemy placement in bonus levels as well.

Hi there everyone! I've compiled a video explaining all of the little pieces of Hat Kid's moveset in HKSTDOI 3: Kingslayer! Please take a look if you're interested in seeing how she plays! Hat Kid is focused on a ton of varied moves with a focus around executing detailed strings of moves in a row. Probably one of the more complicated characters in the mod.
Yeah yeah! Check it out! I put together a wicked awesome combo video in stunning 60 framerinos per second. I tried to show off a variety of combo routes to show off how crazy you can get with this system! No spoilers in this video, only combos in training mode! Go check it out, it's pretty awesome, edited by me!
If you caught F3 2023, you would've seen our new trailer! This trailer features a ton of more polished gameplay. Shortly after this, we will be uploading more gameplay of the mod, so stay tuned!

It's basically a hat in time if you brought back the hack and slash idea and pulled inspiration from several story fighting games such as ultrakill, no straight roads, devil may cry, madness project nexus, and so on
It has been a great experience with some many talented people making this project come alive!
