Remembering the magic of spring #fbf #hollysbokehpanos #Toronto #bokeh #hollystintoys (Shot using the #BrenizerMethod (otherwise known as a #BokehPanorama), this image becomes the equivalent of a 64mm at f0.9, and contains 8 images.) ~ Canon 1D X MkII + 85 f1.2L II @ f1.2 (See my bio for full camera equipment information plus info on how I process my images. 😊) ~ Brenizer Method: It’s the same principle as a typical panorama, except instead of shooting wide angle, with as much depth-of-field as possible, it’s shot with a longer focal length, with as shallow a DOF as possible. The end result (dependent on final image) can mimic the look of a large format photographic system. The method increases the effective sensor size of the camera, much like the larger negatives in medium and large format photography. https://www.instagram.com/p/B2omCkWlKN6/?igshid=1niajk8uywmqr

Looking forward to Spring time adventures in #HighPark #hollysbokehpanos #hollystintoys #Toronto (Shot with Canon 1D X + my Canon 70–200 f2.8L IS II lens, at 200mm/f2.8, using the Brenizer Method (otherwise known as a Bokeh Panorama), this image becomes the equivalent of a 110mm at f1.5. This bokeh panorama contains ~25 images.) ~ Brenizer Method: It’s the same principle as a typical panorama, except instead of shooting wide angle, with as much depth-of-field as possible, it’s shot with a longer focal length, with as shallow a DOF as possible. Keeping Cozy & Getting a Wider View with the #Canon85 f1.2L II (see below! ⬇️) #One2Watch #ShotOnCanon #Canon1DX #Speedlite600EXIIRT ~ The Canon 85 f1.2L II is definitely one of my favourite lenses. It’s tack sharp wide open (f1.2), and super bright, so it works well in low light. But sometimes you want to capture a bit more of the scene, than an 85 focal length will allow. What do you do? The trick is to create a panorama (I used Adobe Lightroom), and capture more of the scene around your subject. I also bounced my Canon Speedlite 600EX II-RT flash, from an opposite wall, with the light orange colour filter installed to help balance the colour on Alice, as she had natural light from the windows and an overhead light on behind her, casting her with an orange glow. Building a panorama this way, with the specifications of focal length, f-stop, and final resolution of file, creates an effective focal length of 58mm at f0.8. Questions? Ask me below! (See more examples of this technique here: #hollysbokehpanos) (at Toronto, Ontario)
