I’d argue one of Ozpins mistakes was not pushing harder to make atlas abolish their militaries, for once he didn’t go far enough

Oh yeah definitely, but honestly it's possible the other kingdoms were more willing to do so and Atlas/Mantle wasn't, and pushing could've caused issues with Atlas's and Vales allegiance, especially so soon after the Great War
