will someone please come debate me on whether they were right to invoke the imagery of the pieta in this song
#just thinking thoughts...#like yeah it parallels the earlier verse where it was the guy in black cradling the guy in white#and in THAT case sure yeah okay. you're invoking the virgin mary's motherhood and caring. sure#but they switched places and like. the only bit of it that works is that#the guy in black is 'dead'#like am I missing something#like the hansel and gretel stuff in the song is MUCH more coherent imo#unless I'm misunderstanding the whole song and like. the girl was actually with the guy in black#and then betrayed him judas-style#and the guy in white is mourning him.#no that's completely idiotic#I have no idea what's going on in this song.#honestly it just feels like a gaybait LMAO like what are you tryna say!!!
