ZOMGZ I saw ur response in the tags about notion and I'm so glad there's a way to remove the AI,,, What kind of things did you put in the email?? I know it'd sum up to be, like, "turn off notion ai on my account", but is there, like, a polite way to say it? or more professional?? idk,,,,

! heads up that the formatting in the email below looks like that cause we initially contacted Notion through opening a ticket with their Message Bot - since at the time we thought it was the only available method to reaching out bout the removal ( and didn't realize til all was done that the option of direct email was also open sgfhdjDf, )

Guide to requesting removal of Notion AI via Email

in summary - the main stuff they'll be asking for prior to properly removing the AI is;

Whether you are the owner of the workspace you want to remove the AI from

Name of the workspace where you want to remove the AI (workplace name can be found in the upper left corner of the notion page for folks unaware! it should be surrounded by your profile pic and a dropdown arrow that brings down settings :] )

Email used for the workspace (in the chance it is different from the one you are emailing with, and/or if you have multiple workspaces with different emails)

if i were to reword the above interaction into a more polished email format- I'd make it something like:

Subject: Request to remove Notion AI from my workspace To: team@makenotion.com

Hello! I am reaching out to request removal of the Notion AI feature from my workspace, please. The name of my workspace is [insert your workspace name here], and I am the owner of the workspace. My email on the workspace is [insert workspace email here]. Thank you for your time! Kind regards, [your name here, can be nickname or anything]

( ! oh also !! on the off chance that notion doesn't reply in a timely manner within several weeks etc - will list the steps we took with the Message Bot in case it is needed - )

Requesting to remove Notion AI via "Message Support" bot

(ironically have to very briefly interact with the Notion AI for this - ie a redirect to a message bot that'll file a help ticket to Notion )

Hover and click the Notion AI icon in the bottom right corner, select the 3 dots and then "Receive help from Notion"

There should be an option akin to "Chat with Notion Support" or "Message Support", and a chat box will pop up

Follow wording similar to the first screenshot above, and the bot will send a help ticket to contact Notion of the request !

( if i recall - i think the bot might also ask for a phone number of sorts ? been a while so i can't fully remember . )

Through this method - an automatic email confirming that the ticket has been received will be sent, and later on that email will be the same place where you'll be followed up by someone from Notion when the AI is removed !
