: ̗̀➛❣️| 'what are their love languages?' ↳ aurore likes to show their love/care for someone via acts of service! dropped something? they got it. have a workload or complain about a mess?? next thing you know it's halved and the space you complained about is spotless and organized in your preferred way. if you're hurt? she'll take care of your injuries himself. he doesn't trust the fatui to not be incompetent when it comes to your care, they claim. ↳ receiving? i think they're more of someone who feels loved with quality time. and a close second is physical contact, like a hand on her shoulder, brushing your hands together, etc. words of affirmation is close too, but he doesn't find himself trusting of them; absolutely loathes having things done for them that they could have done themself. though that's just rooted in how she has to do things a certain way or else she goes insane. please, don't clean up her spaces for her.

: ̗̀➛💓| 'what are some signs they've fallen for someone? how do they show their affection?' ↳ to put it simply, he pays more attention to them. though it is identical to if you just were to catch her attention; however, if she is ranks above whoever she fell for, it is a subtle change, but the person who caught her eye is around him much more often. he claims it is just because they are the most tolerable and competent person they've met thus far. their affections are shown in the slight bit of attention the other receives, the questioning that may come across as condescending and untrusting, but it really is just concern that is very poorly shown but well masked.

: ̗̀➛🤔| 'what’s something they'll never understand?' ↳ childe. they will never understand his motives or why he does what he does. similarly enough, the same sentiment applies to other harbingers. as well as how people can be so frivolous with their mora, using it on the most expensive and aesthetically pleasing things. are they not worried that they would waste it or run out?? i'd bet genuine money that pantalone loves aurore when it comes to her balance and making sure the banks stay full due to how well she delegates and uses her mora.

: ̗̀➛☂️| 'how do they feel about rain?' ↳ she is quite literally from fontaine. she adores the rain and water, it makes them feel a little closer to the home they miss. will absolutely sing or dance in the rain if feeling nostalgic and bold enough with their partner; even with the story that the hydro dragon's tears are the the rain that falls in her homeland, they can't help but love it so much. he finds comfort in it, he'd stay outside under the clouds all day if it wouldn't get her sick.

: ̗̀➛🖌️| 'do they have any hobbies?' ↳ violin and singing. just music in general, really. back in fontaine, before they had their death faked by their greedy golden child of a younger twin, they were an aspiring musician even after it got them disowned legally. in fact, their music is still played every now and again by some. he hardly does it anymore, but sometimes he can be convinced by someone close to him to stop working for a moment and engage their violin they always have on them and play a song.

: ̗̀➛💤| 'what do they absolutely need to fall asleep?' ↳ doors closed and locked, their claymore disengaged but ready to be summoned at a moments notice, their vision/delusion... oh, and their prosthetic leg on. all rooted in trauma and the expectation that something bad will happen and they'll need to fight.

: ̗̀➛🗺️| 'what languages do they speak?' ↳ french (fontaine), english (teyvat common), and a little bit of russian (snezhnaya); though the last one they are far from fluent in, they understand the basics well enough that they could be if they put in the effort- not that they want to. they'd rather not be able to actually understand whatever it is that childe mutters under his breath. even if it would be hilarious if they were to suddenly respond in kind.

: ̗̀➛🍳| 'how well can they cook?' ↳ fairly well! he does better cooking for one person than multiple, however. most of his meals are basic and not at all fancy as they don't really care for doing anything in the kitchen.

: ̗̀➛🍪| 'how well can they bake?' ↳ if she actually tried and applied herself to the task, she could. but he just finds it tedious for something that he views as having no nutritional value other than being an unnecessary indulgence. so he doesn't bake at all.

: ̗̀➛💘| 'what do they find attractive about their partner(s)?' ↳ it...honestly would depend. but typically she isn't one to care about looks, preferring skills, talents, mind, etc. being how she is, it'd be hypocritical for her to care for appearances given she believes she doesn't look the best. but for her, it's definitely the fact the childe is good with kids. she wants to be a mother for heaven's sake, and in my little au, she is in charge of the hearths.

: ̗̀➛💝| 'what gestures do they appreciate? how do you get on their good side?' ↳ she appreciates someone who is respectful, polite, and over all has manners. if you speak of women and children fondly or like people, then you're more likely to win some sort of bias. don't try to be a suck up though. she hates that. you'll achieve the opposite of what you want.

: ̗̀➛🧸| 'do they have any stuffed animals? if so, are they decorative or do they sleep with them?' ↳ nope! she had one of a white doe when she was younger, but lost it a long time ago due to her brother destroying it. he doesn't have the urge to get any that aren't for the children.

: ̗̀➛🧑‍🍼| 'how and how often do they try to impress their partner(s)? how and how often do their partner(s) impress them?' ↳ less so impress, and more so outshine in combat. aurore doesn't care what people think of them when it comes to their capabilities or whether or not they think she's impressive (and honestly, her nonchalance to praise is impressive in of itself). she has no need for praise or the like. ↳ childe however...he's consistently growing stronger, even being able to use foul legacy without a break for 45 days in a row fighting the all-devouring narwhal. all when he only had his delusion available. he would try to coax aurore into a friendly spar to see if he's gotten any stronger, given aurore is the fourth. they hate to admit it, but as of late there have been quite a few close calls with how much stronger he's gotten (considering the rankings aren't only based on physical / combat strength alone, but other aspects of one's ability to aid the tsaritsa iirc).

: ̗̀➛💬| 'what are some filler/buffer words they use? (Like, um, etc.)' ↳ aurore is a huge user of 'like' in informal situations. however, they mostly just hum instead. or use the silence as a buffer. they'll also use 'alors' mixed in, as it can be both informal and formal.

: ̗̀➛🏳️‍🌈| 'what do they identify as? what are their pronouns? ↳ genderfluid, bi-romantic, grey-ace! also poly-flexible. her pronouns are she/they/he, with a heavy emphasis on 'she/her' since her injuries.

: ̗̀➛🥰| 'what pet names do their partner(s) use for them? how flustered do they get by them?' ↳ the only pet name that has ever flustered them is 'petite biche', and she has yet to hear childe say it. they intend to keep it that way for sake of her own pride and image. though things like 'darling' can make her soften up and more willing to agree to a request.

Irina Jelavic: Of Lovers and Languages

@bismuthwisdom sorry I didn't see your tags earlier. I've actually wondered about what languages Irina speaks, and since you've brought it up, I now wanna talk about it.

First, we're gonna need an important screenshot:

So, it's said that Irina is fluent in ten languages. She's stated that the best way to learn a language is to get a lover who can speak it. The above map is list of some (pretty sure some) of her "lovers" who will help us determine which langauages she speaks.

Note: some of these hearts don't necessary fall over the man's country of origin. For example, Shinji's heart is placed next to Japan's map, likely because it'll cover it if it was placed on top. Likewise, David's heart is placed above Great Britian.

Okay, let's move on to the list:

Serbian: Of course, we're gonna start the list with her mother tongue.

English: Yeah, this one's obvious.

Japanese: Another obvious one.

Japanese Sign Language: As I've mentioned before, she communicated with Karasuma and the kids through sign language during the island arc.

French: Again, the Reaper Arc reveals she's been teaching Megu French.

Arabic: In that same arc, Yada mentioned one of Irina's story involving Arabian royalty and nearly lead to a war. 7 years later, she's sent to infiltrate an organization in the Middle East.

Portuguese: Pretty sure Anderson is from Brazil because apparently, his name is a popular there. I'm not sure how popular though, but we've got some Brazilian celebrities, namely athletes like Anderson Silva, Anderson Varejão, and Anderson Luís de Abreu Oliveira. So yeah, Irina knows portuguese.

Korean: First, we have Ji Sung (also spelled Ji-seong), whose heart is right next to South Korea. Second, in chapter 25, Irina briefly talks about Korean pronounciation.

So these are the languages I'm sure Irina is fluent in. There's still 2 more, and my guesses are:

Spanish or Italian: I'm not quite sure where Christiano is supposed to be from. I initially thought of Spain, but his heart can also be seen right next to Italy, so who knows? Maybe she knows both languages?

Eric...I'm not sure which African country he's supposed to be from, so I don't know which language Irina would acquire ro seduce him. Maybe she didn't have to pick up a new language though, maybe Eric already spoke French or Arabic.

Also, it should be noted Serbia has several minority languages. Maybe Irina is fluent in some of them.

For headcanons, I'd say she'd be fluent in Russian, Chinese, and Vietnamese; all of which she learns during canon or during the time skip.

That's all I've got on Irina. For the second tag, I'll do another post for the students because this one's long enough. However, I can make some language hcs for Korosensei and Karasuma.

Korosensei:

As a once notorious assassin, I don't doubt that he's just as multilingual as Irina is; I just don't know which langauges he would know. I like to think he's fluent in Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese, and speaks in several dialects) since he keeps flying over to China and because he specializes in he Chinese cuisine.

Karasuma:

English: We did see him use it in Episode 10.

Japanese Sign Language: Again, the island arc.

I like to think that after marriage, Irina insists he learn Serbian since 1) their daughter will have more speakers to communicate with and 2) Irina already speaks his mother tongue, why can't he learn hers?

I can see her suggestively offering her help and like the straight lace that he is, Karasuma declines. Nevertheless, he agrees with her reasons and Serbian becomes their secret language, though they use it even when they don't gave to be secretive.

Also, I can see Karasuma shooting down her advances only in her mother tongue. It's his way of teasing her and Irina starts wondering if asking him to learn Serbian was a mistake...
