Day 5: Dera Mandawa - Jaipur
13th March 2023
We decided to splash out last night and dined in the hotels signature restaurant Dhaba,
The restaurant was decked out like an Indian truck stop with food to match, the check was large and my expectations fell well short.
To make up for the shortcomings of Dhaba we decided to retire, once again, to Aura for a nightcap and were lucky enough to catch Jazz Junction playing in their unique and imitable style as we settled down with a bottle of wine to share.
Tony had a charming rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’ sung to him and then we stuck around till the wine was finished and listened to the bands Bossa Nova take on various recognisable tunes.
We went to down to breakfast early this morning and opted on a healthy ( ish ) one of fruit and yogurt with a smattering of cheese board.
Our journey to Jaipur was the most comfortable drive so far of this trip, the Tempo of yesterday had been replaced with a Toyota boasting deep leather seats, large windows plus the ride was super smooth. You know you’re onto a winner when the vehicle can get uphill without breaking into a sweat.
I decided to sit up front, just behind and across from the driver to get a better of view and oh my, do I have total respect for Jagdish, our chauffeur. The traffic was horrendous out of Delhi, traffic literally coming from all directions, all of the time.
I could see things from his perspective and how we managed to avoid cars, tuk tuk’s, children, adults, cows, motorbikes, elephants and camels is beyond my comprehension. I spent the journey with my eyes closed and my heart hammering. Jagdish was as cool as ice and manoeuvred us skilfully through the melee.
The cacophony of horns crashed around in my ears and engines revved as we inched through the traffic and out into the freeway which was not as we know it.
Indian motorways do not have road markings so the traffic moved along as one big mass of living, breathing metal, moving in the same direction but jockeying for poll position.
We passed towns and villages, countryside and small holdings, small roadside shacks and large corporate hotels.
Finally we entered the ‘Pink City’ of Jaipur, so called because in the 1900′s the entire city was painted pink in honour of King Edward VII and has remained so ever since.
Up till now we have not seen so much as single begger, however that was about to change in Jaipur.  We were forced to stop at some lights and immediately a gaggle of women sprang out of nowhere, banging on the windows , mimicking putting food in their mouths and holding up babies.
One sight I can’t get out of my mind was a haggard, hard faced women, dirt etched in her face holding up a baby, the poor thing must’ve been premature it was so small, she or he lay there limply in her arms, it’s sad little eyes were blank and dull. I’m not sure that this poor, wretched little baby was still alive, and the picture will haunt me I think for a long time.
Dera Mandawa has risen from the dust of Jaipur and has provided us with an oasis of calm within a bustling and busy city.
Mr Durga Singh Ji greeted us with such pleasure and warmth and led us to his sitting room where we were availed of large, chilled glasses of Kingfisher beer  as we booked in.
Our room is immense, with a bed that would easily fit 4 adults, a ceiling fan to keep us  cool and above us is a balcony with further seating.
Intricate carved pillars surround the bed and beautiful yellow drapes hang from them.  It’s been a long day, and it’s time for bed

How to Plan a Budget-Friendly Road Trip from Delhi to Jaipur
A road trip from Delhi to Jaipur can be a fantastic escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, offering you a perfect blend of history, culture, and scenic beauty. Planning a budget-friendly road trip ensures you get the most out of your experience without breaking the bank. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you plan your affordable getaway from Delhi to the Pink City.
1. Choose the Right Time to Travel
Timing is everything when it comes to planning a road trip. Avoid peak tourist seasons, such as the winter months (November to February), when hotel prices and crowd levels are at their highest. Instead, plan your trip during the shoulder seasons – between March to June or September to October – to find better deals on accommodations and fewer crowds.
2. Opt for a Self-Drive Car Rental
Self-drive car rentals are an excellent option for a budget-friendly trip. You can avoid the high costs of hiring a driver, and choosing an economical car will save fuel costs. Many companies, like Zeta Cars Rental Services, offer competitive rates for self-drive cars in Delhi, allowing you to choose the vehicle that fits your budget and group size. Make sure to book in advance to take advantage of early bird offers and discounts.
3. Pack Smart and Efficiently
When it comes to budget-friendly travel, packing smart can make a huge difference. Carry your own water bottles, snacks, and non-perishable items like chips, energy bars, or fruits. Avoid buying expensive food on the way, and instead, pack a small cooler with your essentials.
4. Plan Fuel Stops in Advance
Knowing where to refuel can help you avoid overpaying at highway gas stations. Before starting the journey, research the fuel stations that offer the best prices on the Delhi-Jaipur highway. Additionally, apps like Fuel@IOC or Bharat Petroleum's SmartDrive can provide real-time fuel prices.
5. Save on Food with Local Eateries
Highway dhabas and local eateries can provide budget-friendly meals that are filling and flavorful. On the Delhi-Jaipur route, there are several famous dhabas, such as Old Rao Dhaba in Dharuhera and Highway King near Manoharpur. These spots offer affordable, delicious meals, making them a better option than fancy restaurants.
6. Affordable Pit Stops
While driving from Delhi to Jaipur, there are some budget-friendly pit stops that you can visit:
Neemrana Fort: Although staying at the fort might be expensive, you can opt for a day visit to explore this 15th-century fort. It’s located about 120 km from Delhi and offers a glimpse into Rajasthan’s royal heritage.
Sariska National Park: Located about 110 km before Jaipur, Sariska is an affordable stop for wildlife enthusiasts. Entry fees are minimal, and it’s a great place to stretch your legs and enjoy the natural surroundings.
7. Budget Accommodation in Jaipur
Once you reach Jaipur, book affordable accommodations such as guesthouses, homestays, or budget hotels. Jaipur offers plenty of budget-friendly options like Zostel, Moustache Jaipur, and local family-run guesthouses, where you can get a comfortable stay without spending too much.
8. Sightseeing on a Budget
Jaipur is home to some incredible attractions, many of which are affordable or even free. Here’s a list of budget-friendly sightseeing options:
Hawa Mahal: Entry is nominal, and you can enjoy the magnificent architecture of this palace of winds.
Amer Fort: One of the most popular tourist spots, Amer Fort’s entry fee is reasonable, and the views from the fort are breathtaking.
City Palace: The City Palace offers a glimpse into the royal history of Jaipur, with an affordable entry fee.
Markets: Wander through the local bazaars like Johari Bazaar and Bapu Bazaar to experience Jaipur’s vibrant culture without spending much.
9. Use Public Transport in Jaipur
Once you’re in Jaipur, save on transportation by using local public transport or auto-rickshaws. Jaipur is well-connected by buses and shared autos, which are much cheaper than hiring private cabs.
10. Travel with Friends to Split Costs
Traveling with friends or family can help reduce the overall cost of the trip. Splitting expenses such as fuel, accommodation, and food can make the trip more affordable. Plus, group travel adds to the fun!
11. Stay Hydrated and Stay Safe
Carrying your own water bottles will not only help you save money but also reduce plastic waste. Make sure to refill them whenever you stop at a restaurant or hotel. Always prioritize safety by ensuring your vehicle is in good condition, carrying a first aid kit, and following all traffic rules.
Final Thoughts
Planning a budget-friendly road trip from Delhi to Jaipur is easy if you follow these tips. With a little preparation, you can enjoy a memorable road trip filled with beautiful sights, delicious food, and unforgettable experiences, all while staying within your budget. So, fuel up, grab your friends, and get ready to hit the road!

Places you can find EV Charging Stations and & How To Use Them Effectively
India is in the early stages of building a robust EV charging station network, and while it may take years to fully develop, we're on the right track. Just as fuel stations are found in every nook and cranny and along highways, soon you'll see EV charging stations proliferating rapidly. Charging network operators are working hard to find ideal locations to help EV users alleviate range anxiety while keeping their stations occupied to stay in business. They strategically set up stations based on user behavior, including the time spent and the purpose of visits. Using these insights, they establish stations with either DC or AC chargers, or a combination of both, to ensure EV users have the best options available.
At EVJoints, we've outlined the different types of places where you can expect to find charging stations and how to make the most of them by choosing between AC and DC chargers.
Restaurants at Highways: These are ideal for long trips. Use them as a meal stop or a break from driving. We recommend opting for DC charging, as you may not stay at the restaurants for more than an hour; you can quickly charge your EV while enjoying a meal. Charging station networks like Statiq, Charge Zone, and Relux have strategically set up stations at highway restaurants and dhabas.
Shopping Malls: If you're planning a dinner and shopping trip, use an AC charger. For just shopping, opt for DC charging; and for a movie, AC is ideal. Jio-BP Pulse leads the way in installing stations at malls across India, with contributions from Glida and Zeon as well.
Fuel Stations: Some EV chargers are located at fuel stations on highways, which are handy for long trips when you're running low on battery. If facilities like clean bathrooms or coffee shops are available, that's a bonus. Choose DC charging, as you won't have much to do while waiting. Indian Oil, Hindustan Petroleum, and Shell Recharge leverage their existing fuel station infrastructure to set up EV chargers.
Resorts & Hotels: These setups, known as destination charging, are installed at resorts, hotels, and inns where you might stay overnight. Charging facilities are increasingly promoted as a key amenity, so AC charging overnight is a great option. CPOs like Zeon, Charge Zone, Tata, and Statiq partner with various hotel and resort networks to provide charging stations for EV users.
Metro Stations: In cities with extensive metro networks, such as Delhi, you'll find charging stations in parking areas. Commuters using the metro often choose AC charging, as their EVs can charge while they're away. Passersby typically prefer DC charging for a quick stop. Providers like Power Bank, BluCharge, and Jio-BP Pulse have strategically set up stations at metro station parking areas.
Airports: If you're picking someone up from the airport, use DC charging while you wait. For day trips, leaving your car at the airport parking lot and using AC charging ensures it's fully charged when you return. Jio-BP Pulse, Zeon, and Glida are collaborating with airports to set up stations.
Service Centers and Car Dealerships: Most EV service centers and showrooms have charging setups, offering both AC and DC charging. Customers visiting nearby can charge depending on how long they intend to stay. Service centers often use AC charging for EVs undergoing maintenance or repair. Brands like Tata, MG, Mahindra, Ather, and Ola ensure their dealerships and service centers have compatible stations for their EVs.
Residential Areas: Some builders have started allocating space for charging stations, and established residential complexes are already equipped. Some even open their stations to outsiders. Residents should opt for AC charging, while guests might choose DC charging. Operators like Tata, Volttic, GoEgo, and NikolEV are actively powering up residential complexes.
Workplaces: Some corporate offices and business parks are now offering charging facilities. Employees can use AC chargers since they'll be at work all day, while visitors can opt for DC charging to juice up their EVs during meetings. Glida is a prime example of setting up stations at business parks and corporate buildings.
In conclusion, the strategic placement of EV charging stations in various locations is key to alleviating range anxiety and ensuring convenience for EV users. By understanding where these stations are located and how to use them effectively, you can optimize your charging strategy to save time and maintain your battery's health. As the EV charging infrastructure continues to expand, staying informed and planning your charging stops will become even more seamless. Remember, each charging location serves a purpose, and knowing how to utilize these options will enhance your overall EV experience. Happy charging!

How to Plan an Affordable Rajasthan Budget Tour: A Comprehensive Guide
Tumblr media
1. Selecting the Right Time to Visit
Timing your visit can greatly influence your budget. Rajasthan’s weather is extreme, with scorching summers and chilly winters. To make the most of your budget:
Best Time to Visit: The ideal times to visit Rajasthan on a budget are during the shoulder seasons: late September to early November and mid-February to March. During these periods, temperatures are moderate, and you’ll encounter fewer crowds, which often means lower prices for accommodation and services.
Avoid Peak Season: The peak tourist season runs from November to February. While the weather is pleasant, prices for accommodation and attractions are generally higher. Avoiding this peak season can help you save significantly.
2. Budget Accommodation Options
Rajasthan offers a range of accommodation options suitable for budget travelers:
Guesthouses and Hostels: Opt for budget guesthouses or hostels, especially in popular cities like Jaipur, Udaipur, and Jodhpur. These accommodations are often cheaper than hotels and offer a comfortable stay. Websites like Hostelworld or Booking.com can help you find affordable options with good reviews.
Homestays: Staying with local families through homestay programs can be both cost-effective and enriching. It provides a unique opportunity to experience local culture and cuisine while saving on accommodation costs. Platforms like Airbnb often list homestay options.
Advance Booking: Booking your stay in advance can lead to significant savings. Many guesthouses and hostels offer discounts for early reservations, and you can compare prices on various booking platforms to find the best deals.
3. Affordable Transportation
Getting around Rajasthan efficiently and economically involves:
Trains and Buses: Indian Railways provides an extensive network of trains connecting major cities and towns in Rajasthan. Opting for sleeper class trains or general buses is the most budget-friendly option. For long-distance travel, booking tickets in advance can also help you secure lower fares.
Shared Taxis: Shared taxis or pool taxis are a cost-effective way to travel between cities. These taxis are usually cheaper than private cabs and offer a more local experience.
Local Transport: Within cities, use local transportation options like auto-rickshaws and cycle rickshaws. Always negotiate the fare before starting your journey or ensure the meter is used to avoid overcharging.
4. Cost-Effective Sightseeing
Exploring Rajasthan’s attractions without spending too much can be achieved through:
Free and Low-Cost Attractions: Many of Rajasthan’s cities offer free or low-cost attractions. For example, the colorful bazaars of Jaipur or the serene lakes in Udaipur provide wonderful experiences at minimal costs. Explore parks, public gardens, and local neighborhoods to enjoy the city’s ambiance without spending a fortune.
Tourist Passes: Some cities offer tourist passes that provide discounted entry to multiple attractions. Check if such passes are available for the destinations you plan to visit, as they can offer substantial savings.
Local Guides: Hiring a local guide can be cost-effective and informative, particularly if you’re traveling in a group. Local guides often provide personalized insights and can help you navigate the best sites, saving you time and money.
5. Budget Dining
Rajasthan’s cuisine is diverse and flavorful, and you don’t need to spend a lot to enjoy it:
Local Eateries: Instead of dining at upscale restaurants, explore local dhabas and small eateries. These places serve authentic Rajasthani dishes at much lower prices compared to high-end restaurants. Enjoy traditional dishes like dal bati churma and kachoris from reputable local vendors.
Street Food: Rajasthan’s street food is both delicious and affordable. Try popular snacks like samosas, pakoras, and chaats from well-known street vendors. Just ensure that the food is prepared hygienically to avoid any health issues.
Self-Catering: If your accommodation has kitchen facilities, consider buying fresh produce from local markets and preparing your own meals. This can be a significant cost-saving strategy and offers a chance to explore local markets.
6. Smart Shopping
Shopping in Rajasthan can be budget-friendly with these tips:
Local Markets: Visit local markets and bazaars such as Johari Bazaar in Jaipur or the Clock Tower area in Jodhpur for affordable souvenirs and handicrafts. These markets offer a range of items including textiles, jewelry, and traditional crafts.
Bargaining: Bargaining is a common practice in Rajasthan. Don’t hesitate to negotiate prices in local markets to get the best deals. Start by offering a lower price and negotiate upwards until you reach a mutually agreeable price.
Avoid Tourist Traps: Be cautious of shops that cater mainly to tourists as they often have inflated prices. Opt for local shops and markets to get more value for your money.
7. Money-Saving Tips
To stretch your budget further, consider these practical tips:
Travel Light: Pack light to avoid extra baggage fees on trains and buses. A smaller bag also makes it easier to navigate through local transport options.
Negotiate: Always negotiate prices for taxis, auto-rickshaws, and even some services. This is a common practice in Rajasthan and can lead to considerable savings.
Group Travel: If traveling with a group, share costs for accommodation, transportation, and guided tours. This can reduce individual expenses and make the trip more affordable.
8. Respecting Local Culture and Ensuring Safety
Understanding and respecting local customs while ensuring safety can enhance your budget travel experience:
Respect Local Etiquette: Familiarize yourself with local customs and etiquette. Dressing modestly and respecting local traditions can prevent misunderstandings and ensure a smoother experience.
Stay Safe: Keep your belongings secure, especially in crowded areas. Use reputable transportation services, avoid traveling alone late at night, and be cautious when exploring unfamiliar areas.
Conclusion
Planning an affordable Rajasthan budget tour is entirely possible with the right approach. By selecting the best time to visit, choosing budget-friendly accommodation and transportation, and making smart choices for sightseeing and dining, you can experience the splendor of Rajasthan without overspending. Embrace the local culture, explore vibrant markets, and savor delicious cuisine—all while sticking to your budget. With thoughtful planning and these practical tips, your Rajasthan adventure will be both memorable and economical. Enjoy your journey through this magnificent land of kings and timeless beauty!

Finding the Perfect Family-Friendly Indian Restaurant in Sunnyvale
Tumblr media
When searching for the best Indian food in Sunnyvale, you should consider both the quality of the food and the atmosphere of the restaurant. A family-friendly Indian restaurant, like Desi Dhaba, should welcome diners of all ages with a warm atmosphere, offer a diverse menu that caters to various tastes, and maintain an authentic Indian culinary experience. Here are some tips to help you find a dining spot that meets these criteria.
Look for Authenticity
True Indian cuisine is rich in flavors and varies from region to region. Check if the restaurant offers a range of dishes that represent different parts of India. For instance, Desi Dhaba in Sunnyvale takes pride in serving dishes like Butter Chicken, Biryani, and an assortment of chaats, each promising a taste of India's diverse culinary landscape. Their chefs focus on traditional cooking techniques, using fresh ingredients to recreate the flavors right from the heart of India.
Check for Family-Friendly Amenities
A family-friendly Indian restaurant in Sunnyvale should be more than just about food. Look for places that provide comfortable seating and a welcoming ambiance that reflects Indian culture. A good indicator is if the restaurant is prepared to accommodate children with suitable menu options and perhaps some activities or coloring books to keep the little ones engaged while you enjoy your meal.
Read Online Reviews
Today, online reviews are invaluable when deciding where to eat. Look for comments about both food and service. Pay attention to mentions of how families felt about their experience. A restaurant that consistently receives praise for its hospitable staff and delightful atmosphere, such as Desi Dhaba, often suggests that it values customer satisfaction and aims to provide an enjoyable experience for all age groups.
Consider the Menu Variety
The best Indian food in Sunnyvale comes from a menu that caters to an array of dietary preferences and palates. Whether you or someone in your family prefers mild flavors or enjoys a spicy dish, the restaurant should have options to suit everyone. From vegetarian delights like Paneer Pakora to robust meat dishes like Lamb Vindaloo, a varied menu ensures that all family members leave satisfied.
Observe the Atmosphere
When visiting a restaurant, notice if the ambiance suits family dining. Is the environment lively and colorful, mirroring the vibrancy of Indian streets? Desi Dhaba, for example, creates an immersive experience that captures the lively essence of India, making it a fantastic spot for families looking to enjoy a meal together in a spirited setting.
Evaluate Customer Service
Good service is crucial, especially when dining with family. Friendly staff who are attentive to the special requests of both children and adults alike can make a meal more enjoyable. Notice how the restaurant handles your inquiries when you call or visit. Prompt and courteous service is a good sign that they will treat you and your family well during your meal.
Conclusion Choosing the right family-friendly Indian restaurant in Sunnyvale involves a bit of research and observation. Look for places that not only serve the best Indian food but also cater to families in a welcoming and authentic manner. Desi Dhaba exemplifies these qualities, making it a commendable choice for anyone eager to indulge in the flavors of India while enjoying a meal with loved ones. Whether it's the aromatic allure of biryani or the creamy indulgence of butter town chicken, a visit here promises a memorable experience for you and your family.

Social Media and Its Effects on Life.
Positive Consequence of Democratization
Successful Journey from Street Stand to Famous Chef
Mr. Rizwan Chaudhary
Mr. Rizwan Chaudhary is a middle-aged age, uneducated man who belongs to a poor-status family and sells food on a small stand to manage day-to-day expenses (Khan, 2023) and (Salim, 2023). When in 2018, he moved to another city (Multan to Narowal) with his family, there his selling stand didn’t generate sufficient money that fulfill their expenses (Khan, 2023). Mr. Rizwan with a broken heart closed the hawker stand and started working at the dhaba (small restaurant). However, his son – an intermediate student, also took a brave step and joined a pizza shop to earn money. In 2019, after one year of disappointment, discouragement, and failure situations their moral percentage reached zero, but Ramish Rizwan– son of Mr. Rizwan convinced his father to launch a YouTube channel because as a young youth, he knew it was a digital era and it’s a time to test their fortune (Salim, 2023). He recorded the first video for their channel named ‘BaBa Foods RRC’ on a simple phone, and his successful fame journey started with no proper kitchen, cooking utensils, or high-tech electronic gadgets to record a video.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This channel booms the internet market within four years and earns 4 million subscribers on YouTube and 1.5 million followers on TikTok. They also received the ‘Top Food Creator’ award in 2022 from the TikTok social media platform. Presently, Chef Rizwan's family is living in a mansion, and owns luxurious cars, and his son Ramish moved to New Zealand.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The fame of the YouTube channel ‘BaBa Food RRC’ is largely based on the “democratization of web” concept. Chef Mr. Rizwan's innocent style of explanation and appealing video titles– people like it and vote his appreciation in the form of subscribing (Khan, 2023), honesty (sharing real authentic commercial recipes for everyone) – people thumb up and praise him by subscribing, cooking hacks and tips (how to make your food tastier or store food) – people like it and motivate him by subscribing), beauty tips/creams (women loves it and thank him by subscribing), or herbal remedies – people like it and shows happiness by subscribing). He introduces a variety of topics under one roof that attracts the audience with simplicity and hard work (Salim, 2023) and (Khan, 2023). However, with the same strategy, they succeeded in achieving “online democratization” on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and X effectively (Salim, 2023).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Globally, social media apps or sites promote the ‘democratization of the web’ and allow the audience to vote for the video or post as per their liking or disliking. Internet-positive fame achieved by the YouTube channel ‘BaBa Food RRC’ in a short period is impossible without the “democratization” of social media. They still succeed in engaging the audience through their different topic videos and honest enthusiasm.

Negative Consequence of Democratization
Showbiz Person to Religious Person
Rabi Pirzada
Former - Pakistani Singer, Television Host, and Actress
Present - Artist, Social Worker and YouTuber
In 2019, Rabi Pirzada officially announced quitting from showbiz industry in both the singing and acting sectors due to her private videos/pictures going viral on social media (Daily Sun, 2019) and (Afzal, 2019). The flood of negative and positive responses was trolling on X against the leaking materials within a few hours (IANS, 2019). Controversy over who was the culprit roaming aloud all over the country, but helpless to find a suitable exact answer because it’s a mysterious digital world (Zubair, 2019). People utilize social media apps anonymously for revenge, jealousy, or to destroy someone’s career.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the same year, Rabi Pirzada also faced criticism internationally and nationally over two videos (terrorist clothing and wild animals [snakes, alligator, and pythons]) she recorded against Indian Prime Minister “Narendra Modi” (Times of India, 2019) and (BolNews,2019). She got deeply disheartened, depressed, disappointed, and ashamed after her private videos leaked.  She just requested mercy from the audience, asked forgiveness from God, and left the showbiz forever.
After leaving showbiz, Rabi Pirzada re-entered the social media world as a calligraphy artist, religious speaker, and founder of NGO (social working). She utterly changed her dress, attitude, and working field.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Last year 2023, Rabi Pirzada exposed in her various interviews that one female living with her leaked private videos and pictures to whom she trusts a lot.  Moreover, she also accepted that her bold (negative or taunted) past remarks for other female actresses and always considered herself a sinless personality – my proudness and fearlessness behavior are the main factors of her career falling (Duniya News, 2023), (Sarkar, 2023) and (Bol News, 2023). In one YouTube interview, she also unfolded that “Negative publicity is the strongest publicity in this world”, and its damages are huge than anything (Sarkar, 2023).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rabi Pirzada's singing career was affected by the “democratization” of social media, which shows the power of the audience. The most positive stand she took after that misfortune was to come back with more strength to face the world and start a new journey on social media.

How to identify a dusty man/low value/broke man:
1. When you ask him what he likes about you, he might say something like “you don’t seem like you care about finances/ you’re not a gold digger.” Do NOT take it as a compliment. Many of them are conditioning you subconsciously to fit their ideal woman: someone who doesn’t “care about finances” (what does that even mean???? Who doesn’t care about finances??). Sometimes this is also a way for them to see your reaction, so I’d say don’t react much. Just take it as a sign and trash him/ghost later on.
2. He will romanticize low cost activities. It’s of course okay and even fun to eat local and at dhabas sometimes, and it’s even smart and cost effective, BUT as a man who’s taking you out, he should be able to provide fine experiences too. If he’s ALWAYS taking you out to low cost places and romanticizing them and unnecessarily criticizing fine dining etc, it’s again, his way of both conditioning you and setting your expectations low: creating a normal.
3. If he’s in his struggle/limited mindset phase, he will also romanticize lack of fun/free time and sleep. This is NOT healthy. A high value man knows the importance of leisure and creating meaningful experiences with you and making time FOR YOU. If he’s romanticizing lack of time and making excuses around “too much work” and glorifying being a workaholic, NO.
4. He will constantly repeatedly put down “gold diggers.” These could be women in reels, women he knows about, his friends, anyone. Usually, this shows his insecurity, lack of resources and finances, and again his way of setting your expectations low.
5. Some stupid dusty men, even if they’re making money, they don’t know how to save. Again this comes from the silly “boyish” mindset or out of a saviour complex where they feel the need to take on their family/friends’ responsibilities. This shows he’s NOT thinking about a future family of his own, saving and providing for them. This is an extremely big red flag! You know if you are to start a family/home with such a person, if any crisis is to come, he’ll come after your finances and savings.
6. Another huge red flag in connection to the last point. One guy I was seeing, he usually only took me to the cheaper restaurants, barely gave any gifts. Gave me garden plucked flowers instead of buying a bouquet, and gave me a small ass stupid bouquet for my birthday. During the same time and around my birthday for which he did practically nothing, he sent me a photo of where he had bought an EXPENSIVE ring for his friend’s wife-to-be. I broke up there and then. Why, because when they’re UNABLE to meet your expectations and during the same time, show you where the finances are going: distance people who aren’t even close to them, it shows you how they’re setting your expectations! They will prioritize family/friends and other distant relations out of their insecurity and people pleasing tendencies and this will always always remain a problem. Specially when coupled with misogynistic “gold digger” ideas. Most married couples fight because of finances and the women ARE NOT crazy when they complain the husband is spending everything on his family. Do NOT take this bullshit for a single second.
7. He’s going to find flaws (philosophical or political) in every big investment: for example, buying a house. This shows his limited mindset, and how he’s setting his own and your expectations.
8. Generally an insecure low value man will be stingy with money and EVEN compliments. These go hand in hand. Out of his own insecurity and knowing his own flaws, he’s not going to give you the compliments you know you deserve so that he’s not reminded of how he’s dating out of his league.
DUMP HIS ASS.
