HSR oc Amias (he/they) who had a run-in with one of the old Wingperors of the Wingweavers, and got half-turned into a denizen of the Abundance. The Trailblazer kicks their ass at Aetherium Wars :]

About their Blessing of Abundance Eidolons!!

Writing for Amias (HSR OC) again. He sneaks onto the Luofu during the Aetherium Wars event, looking for information on Blade, Shuhu and Phantylia :] -

Being on the Luofu is disorienting. It isn't the sounds or smells which make Amias feel as though they are lurching on a storm-bound ship, but the hum of Her blessing beneath his skin.

As he passes a stationed cloudknight he feels the organic wrongness beneath his skin reach out, like a flower reaching for the sun. Mara he has heard it called, from both the Intelligensia Guild and the whispers from locals that believed they were out of earshot. The blessing of the Abundance, keeping the residents of the Xianzhou ships alive, but also the thing that twists them, body and mind, into monsters.

Amias runs the aether coin between his fingers and over his knuckles, focusing on that sensation over the building nausea in his gut. He cannot wait to go home, but alas, he is here for information.

The news about Shuhu wasn't quiet. It leaked to the IPC, and from there to the greater universe, so finding information about the battle's conclusion was relatively easy. But if the Luofu has any merit, it is its General, who managed to almost completely subdue the leak of information about the Sedition. It had been rumoured that the IPC's wanted swordsman was from the Xianzhou, but only recently was there murmuring that he may have not always been immortal. A.. creation, a merging of mortal and immortal through Shuhu's flesh.

A merging of mortal and immortal to create something Other. Something like Amias.

An opportunity so golden as this was worth the nausea, the hum beneath his skin. Maybe that swordsman - Blade - was on the ship, or maybe he was gone. Regardless, this was the closest Amias had come to a lead in almost seven decades, and he was not about to let it slip through his fingers.

and now to reasons! Moon Waltz and My Dream, My Addiction are two different sides to the same event of Amias becoming immortal via the Emanator of Abundance. It's otherworldly and confusing and, from a purely human perspective, absolutely terrifying.

I Wanted to Dance in Your Pulse is about them losing their sister and close family and friends, and recognising that the days are beginning to feel the same as the years go by.

Hollow Moon is for when they're settled in their anger and fear. If he makes more friends, he will just have to bury them in the future. He also has to bury parts of himself - this is when he's being promoted to Oracle of the local diety on his planet, and all eyes are on him to resolve tensions.

Conspiracy of Silence is about the lie he feels like he's living. He's expected to be something of a hope to the people, and because of his immortality feels ostracized.

Old Soul is the start of their healing arc! They begin to see those they'd loved in the past in those of the present, and chooses to see small things in life as blessings. They try to connect more with people, and makes more friends, especially off world.

Rises the Moon is their acceptance! The sun will set and the moon will rise and you will still be here. Maybe that is a good thing, maybe it's not, but you have tomorrow to look forward to. Rest.

Amias has two main wings on his shoulders, and two smaller wings on his lower back.

The Wingperor Emanator he ran into on his home planet half-turned him into a denizen of Abundance when he was on death's door, and his blessing takes the form of immortality and Wingweaver features. He found a way to seal most of the features and call them freely on command, to not scare the people on his planet.

He was a healer during the Wingweaver attack on his planet, and due to his "miraculous survival" was lauded as blessed from their local deities and inducted into the religion as a miracle healer and oracle. His immortality (and later when his wings are discovered) are also treat as blessed gifts from the local deity as opposed to the Abundance, and he gave up trying to convince them otherwise when they refused to believe the truth.

He only calls on his wings when in danger, preferring not to acknowledge them, and works to find a way to heal or break his immortality.

[Had OC thoughts. About Amias and being immortal]

It feels like a rot in your bones. Mycelium in your lungs, your arteries growing delicate leaves and buds of magic. It keeps you alive, keeps your body running even when the breath goes still in your chest.

You hate it. You want it out - the invasive vines, the parasitic warmth that tries to hold your hand and tell you that you will be alright.

You remember that you died. The breath in your chest went still, the feeling in your body lost. And then fire, warmth, light, and you were its host - this curling magic, growing roots in what was once yours.

Because this body is no longer yours. It looks like you, in the mirror. It responds to your input and command. But the wings, the claws you can make of your once-gentle hands.. they are foreign. They are hers - the Abundance. One day, you will find a way to give the blessings back, to reclaim your body, your personhood. One day, you will succeed. The one thing She has given you is time, and you are stubborn enough to meet that challenge.

Aetherium Wars: VS Amias

So all those Aetherium Wars animations were really cool and had tons of personality so, of course, I made one for oc. It's based off of N Harmonia Pokémon's battle animation from BW :D

............I'm going to make it so that amias (hsr oc) gets involved with the main cast/story through aetherium wars as a way to finally get onto the Luofu after it was shut down. because it's funny

Amias gets caught at the Jade Gate on the Luofu, and his papers snag something from the system that immediately flags him to be watched.

Jing Yuan is sitting at his desk in the seat of Divine Foresight wondering wtf the weird Oracle that's been collaborating with the Intelligentsia Guild is doing playing an IPC sponsored game???? (Aetherium Wars, really??)

It's a good excuse from paperwork - and it IS real work too, he's in charge of security!! - so he goes to figure out what the hell is going on. And then they snark. Lots of snarking. Amias ropes Jing Yuan into taking two of his coins and doing the Aurumaton battle with him. They both unfortunately have fun.

trying to put one of my oldest ocs in hsr and I'm realising why I love the xianzhou story so much. I've had this guy for 5+ years and he fits thematically so well lol

- coming to terms with immortality and trying to be rid of it (blade)

- magic affliction turning people into monsters (mara)

- moving on from past hurts and living for the people you have in the present (dan heng/jing yuan)

- trying to heal impossible afflictions in a constant uphill battle (bailu)
