Somehow, Luffy had found himself in a completely new world(or it might as well have been), and boy, was it HUGE. He felt like it had taken him hours just to get out of the fields, and hours more to get the hell out of the watery territory his haphazard hoofing it had landed him in.

Even though he looked very much made for the water, being an anaconda from the waist down, able to hold his breath for a good forty-five minutes to an hour, and having third eyelids, our scaly friend couldn't swim worth peanuts. Granted, had he not accidentally placed this curse on himself twelve years ago, he would be long dead, but the last thing he needed to do was drown in strange territory where no one would care to save him.

Eventually, he found himself much lower down, in a woodsy area inhabited by maneating plants and monkeys, as well as a strange blue bird with feathers that looked like an afro and who was constantly squawking at him to buy something.

He eventually grew very annoyed with said bird, and left, flopping down on a rock in a nearby clearing, set conveniently in front of a fire. On that fire is a cauldron, filled with something of such questionable quality and origin, he wasn't sure if even he would eat it.
