i am having just. so many thoughts about how much of pericles, cassidy, and ricky's respective core issues come down to 'why didn't you help me,' 'circumstances can never change what Doing the Right Thing realistically looks like or can be expected of you,' and 'to be loved is to be changed.' there's so many thousands-of-words-long posts to be written about SO many facets of this and i have no idea where to start. they're So Much and they fuck me up
