He isn’t sure if he is relieved or not. The lights inside the house are turned on, which means that he won’t have to fumble to break into the KGB safehouse and subsequently risk setting off god knows what booby traps, but that also means that Illya is inside, and—and Napoleon really doesn’t want to see him.

He has been doing such a good job at avoiding him, since he caught sight of him two days ago and he realized that the KGB apparently also has business in town at the moment – Sanders claims it has nothing to do with them and to not worry about it, and Napoleon tried to believe him solely in the hopes of manifesting it as the truth.

Needless to say, he has been tense the whole time, distracted by the thought that Illya might show up behind him any second, and perhaps that’s partially to blame for the royal fuck-up that was tonight.

Perhaps he should have headed back to the CIA, but—he recognizes the area, remembers that there’s a KGB safehouse there because Illya dragged him inside once, during a mission under Waverly’s command where he got injured and they needed shelter, and somehow the thought of heading there seems less risky than letting Sanders get his hands on him while he is in this state.

To be fair, when he headed in this direction he was considerably less lightheaded, and he figured that if he found the lights turned on he could always turn back and find a phone to call for help with. Now, though, he doesn’t think he could stop walking, much less turn back, without falling on his face and never getting up again.

He only has to hope that it’s actually Illya inside and not someone else, which is absurd considering how hard he has been trying to avoid him.

He gets to the door with heavy steps that probably announced his arrival from a mile away, and he finds that it’s hard to even raise his arm up to knock, with how tired and dizzy he feels.

When Illya opens the door, the feeling that floods him is unmistakably relief. He feels a little ridiculous for it.

ok soooo it was literally the best day. if you don't already know, i tried to meet him at the spanish gp and it failed miserably HAHAHA. like it went so wrong at i ended up with a selfie of him running away from me lmao (he saw it on twitter and appreciated my embarrassment, we stan). this made me nervous to meet him cos i was like what if it happens again lol but it was the complete opposite.

i met him at goodwood fos and it was legit the best day EVER. from the moment we arrived that was just my goal for the day ngl, my friend was laughing at me so much. it was raining and everything and i was stressing cos i didn't wanna look like a drowned rat lmao. but i was looking for the Mercedes tent so i could go there first and then spend the rest of the day trying to meet lando… but as i was walking to the tent i spotted lando walking up the stairs to the drivers lounge bit. if you’ve seen his landolog, it’s the bit where he’s on the balcony (try spot me in the background with my umbrella hahaha). anyways i waited for him to do the vlog intro, an interview and whatever else he was doing so i could meet him when he left BUT HE WENT THE OTHER WAYALKSDASND so i didn't see him lol. then i went to mclaren to see if he was over there but he was doing some appearances then went straight to get in the car.. so i went to watch him drive his first run then i pelted it back to the mclaren tent to see if i could meet him after and oml it was the most stressful thing in the world cos all of a sudden the whole of goodwood was behind me squishing me against this tent that was soaked from the rain and it was horrendous lol. anyways he came back in the car, i got squished even more then he went out the back to get changed and whatever else so i waited then he went for lunch so i went back over to the bit where we started the day lol and fast forward he was leaving and i let him walk straight past me cos i didn't wanna be rude hahahahaha *i am stupid*. then i followed him back to McLaren and saw him at the back of the tent so i stood there for a bit hoping he’d come out but he didn’t so i went round the front and stood there cos the team told me he’d be back at 3pm and it was almost then, and then he came out and i let him walk past me AGAIN *honestly someone slap me*….. and he went on the sim (obvs) and then had to do some promo things for the huski chocolate sponsor, then met some fans that’d been pulled into the tent and stuff THEN HE WAS SLOWLY COMING BACK TOWARDS ME. at this stage i wasn't at the front anymore so i didn't even think i would meet him but for some reason the entire bunch of people in front of me MOVED OUT THE WAY - they legit parted like jesus parting the god damn seas, it was insane loool. then my friends had to push me forward cos i was too scared to annoy him for a photo but they pushed me and next thing you know he was there and now it’s the bit y’all actually wanted to hear..

MEETING LANDO! so he’s really quiet and just cute ok. he seemed super shy and i was literally so nervous idk why lmao like i just love the kid so much. anyways so like he was in front of me and he smiled and i was like ‘hi how are you? can we get a quick photo?’ and he was like ‘hi, yeah sure’ so i said ‘did you want to take it?’ cos i thought that maybe he’d be more comfortable taking it lmao and he gAVE ME THE FUNNIEST LOOK and was like ‘do you want me too?’ and i was just like ‘i don't mind’ and started laughing so he laughed and said ‘whatever is easiest’ so i just said ‘ill do it’ so we took the photo, and my friend took some candids which i LOVE!! and i said thank you and then i like ran away cos i felt like i embarrassed myself lmao. but it was so cute and i made him laugh and idk if he knew it was me but he defo must know now lol so we stan hahaha!

i saw him whilst he was leaving too and was going to ask him to sign my drivers card but i didn't wanna be annoying so i let him go about his day cos he was vlogging (i am in the back of his landolog A LOT lol) and he’d already been harassed a lot that day hahaha! but it was so good and thank u for letting me relive this day cos it makes me so happy hehe! hope you enjoyed this longass storytime with lucy xox this probably makes absolutely no sense and I've not even gone over the full day properly cos it was bonkers but feel free to ask any other questions about meeting lando (or literally anything) cos i love answering them MUCH LOVE
