I'm always tiptoeing nonsense rules set by my mother and walking on eggshells around her as to not set her off and it's so exhausting god
#like she firmly believes that her religious views and interpretations are 100% factual and the truth#she studied in detail for many years but she is not the only one in the world who has studied with such passion and interpreted hadith#so very carefully#it's really annoying bc she thinks that it's her job to enlighten me and whatever#my relationship w religion is very fucking complicated#i hate hearing bullshit from people uneducated on Islam bc they have not read a single verse of the Quran and they have no basis nor right#to speak on it#but also like i have complaints that only fellow muslims raised in specific types of immigrant environments can understand#i appreciate aspects of Islam but the way my mother approaches it can sometimes be a fucking headache#like damn some of us are just trying to live and not kill ourselves idgaf about how much of my arms are showing#z.post
