i do think a lot of the reason i buried and rejected my love of the who is fully due to shame but we don’t have to go there let’s not even dig into that
#i think the big difference this time is that i have not once caught myself thinking of them as ‘my dads band’#like it doesn’t matter that he got me into them. they can me mine too#and i can associate them with my own past + what they’ve done for me#instead of associating them with his past and what he did To me#while at the same time being like ‘yeah this is a band tha i turned to during a really dark period’ but like#i can do that with EMOTIONAL DISTANCE now. it doesn’t feel so tender anymore 👍#GROWTH! HEALING! peace and love on planet earth! 🕊#enjoying the things we used to enjoy with fresh eyes and a careful appreciation for the past!!!
