#real talk#i dont think Silent Hill was ever confirmed to be 'based off' anything#it was shrouded in fog to compensate for hardware limitations#silent hill#if it was based on Centralia. then the town would be on fire and you wouldn't be able to drive through#because the roads all cracked up and shit#its still foggy here where I am#being surrounded by big ornate brick buildings makes it even creepier#but Southern KY is always creepy#its a great place to set horror or apocalypse#we have trees on trees on trees on trees on trees#and maybe even a wendigo... probably
