they’re pretty popular around this time of year, so i went ahead and checked it for my art blog. under a read more, and with some commentary on each one.

Man I flippin love this one. It’s so pretty! and It did so well, probably cause everyone was celebrating mickey’s birthday. i’m glad, cause this is one of my favorite things i’ve drawn this year.

I remember experimenting last minute with a sketchy shading style for this one. I don’t really like it for whole drawings, but i’ve been doing it for small parts of bigger drawings. it adds a bit of softness to an otherwise cell shaded style.

Oh this was just a nice little bit of guilty pleasure art. I wanted to draw mickey and oswald, i wanted to draw a cute thing, and i wanted to color it in pastels. I love how it turned out.

It was late at night i think, and maybe i was upset and wanted ideas for what to draw? i think i even drew this by the light of my phone, and took the pic with a camera flash. all in all, a pretty meh drawing.

fanart for my favorite webcomic! I used a lot of colors i usually don’t like in this, so while it’s cute, and i like how it came out, color wise it’s definitely not my favorite. if this was someone else’s drawing, i’d probably just scroll past it.

now i like this a lot better! lots of blues, with pink, yellow and green accents. I also like the pose and shading. i think i used a mix of cell shading and airbrushing? i like how soft it looks.

So this is my 10 most popular posts of the year! there’s some drawings i wish were on here, and a couple i wish weren't, but ey! i’m ok with these. I had a pretty successful year as an artist. I’ve been figuring out what i like to draw the most, and learning to draw a wide variety of things, and now people seem to be paying more attention to the things i like to draw the mst, which feels really good.

here’s hoping 2019 brings me even further to where i want to go.

Day 126 (Friday July 17)

I woke up and played animal crossing for a while. My friends reminded me that we were going to have a dnd session over discord, and I had completely forgotten lol. I worked on the second fish plush for a little bit until we were scheduled to start. We played for over 2 hours I think, and discord crashed on us like twice. It was a ton of fun, even tho I’m ass at rollplaying and improv. A quick synopsis of our session;

We left 42069 blazin street and went to the mechanic robot repair shop. I had my little robot from the beginning of the game upgraded with laser eyes and LEDS, borrowing money from Elwin, and we checked the security tapes to look for signs of the princess. The tapes showed her being led out of the store by a shadowy figure with a ponytail and feminine frame and we smashed the security system so Elwin could steal. Realizing we didn’t know enough about where to go next, we went to the mcdevils next door to order food and check their security tapes. We saw that the kidnapper had red tattoos and drove an orange Lamborghini, driving east. We walked all the way to New Ork, stopping by to see Toni’s parent figure/mentor Papa Pastorelli at her roller skate pizza joint job. We got pizza and checked the tapes, seeing the Lamborghini park across the street and the princess and kidnapper enter the sewers. It was at this point Sam pointed out that the princess wasn’t struggling against her kidnapper, so theories started flying. We broke into their car and stole the princesses phone and a baggie of PCP, heading to the UnderDark, and illegal marketplace thingy in the sewers. We traded the pcp for info from Joe Biden the 600lb changeling drug dealer, who turned us to Barbra Streisand the knife seller to read the notes written in sylvan. It was a shopping list for a dark cloak, pcp, a knife, and white hair dye. At this point we all theorized that Sahara and the princess were running away to be gay lovers. We searched through the phone some more and called Sahara at the castle and the king Venmoed us some money. The session ended on a cliffhanger with the phone ringing.

After the session, I finished the fish plush, but I don’t remember much else about the day lol.

Day 127 (Saturday July 18th)

I played a LOT of animal crossing, and spent like 5 hours making custom clothing designs, mostly sweaters. I didn’t know you could store custom designs!! Now I’m gonna make so many that I’ll never buy clothes again >:) or not because I’m not very good at anything that’s not a sweater. I’ll probably upload the at codes tomorrow. I can’t now because the able sisters shop is closed, and I can’t time travel because of turnips. I don’t like time traveling anyway. I thought I was going to have an open house this day, but it turned out to be he next day. I don’t really remember much of yesterday other than animal crossing and feeling really cute for no reason. Is it wierd that I feel the best about myself when I’m in a baggy shirt with semi-messy hair? I feel best like that and with a normal t shirt and black high waisted jeans and when I tie my shoes really tight. Anyway I remember before I went to sleep that I wanted to make a teddy bear backpack. Also my guts hurt for no reason. OH WAIT NOW I REMEMBER! I stayed up until 4 am making dumb tiktoks lol

Day 128 (Sunday July 19th)

I instinctively woke up early today because I didn’t want to sleep in too late and risk missing the open house. I felt like shit and my guts hurt in the morning, so I was worried about if I should go or not, but I felt fine after a little while. I played animal crossing and debated on weither or not I should play the stalk market, and ended up buying an inventory full of turnips last second. In a rush of selling things to empty my inventory, I accidentally sold my silver net :( I know I can buy another from the museum, but I have to wait for it to show up which might take a while :/. I showed my friends the tiktoks I made, and one of them reached out to me asking if I could draw some of her characters from her story. I said yes, and I wasn’t planning on drawing them today but I read the outfit description for one and got really inspired. I ended up drawing 3 full bodies of 3 very pretty ladies and 2 headshots of someone’s parents because at that point I was tired and running out of space on the page but wanted to sketch out my thoughts. But then I had to get ready for the open house, so I took a super quick shower and got dressed, stressing out over my dad taking so long to get ready and what time I should arrive and blah. It turned out fine tho, and I had a nice time just sitting and talking with friends. Now we’re mutuals on tungle.hell :) hi steph. I came home and drew some more and spent way too long on TikTok. I played a little more animal crossing and saw that retail was offering extra for perfect peaches, so I sent out a post on amino offering to let people come sell their peaches in my cherry town for the most profit possible in game for fruit. No one accepted in time tho. My guts started hurting again for no reason. But when I passed by my reflection in the mirror I felt cute as hell and punched the air and did a little dance I was so happy. I was wearing my one pair of short shorts too, since I wore them under my dress at the open house and just kept them on, and they boost my confidence 500% for no reason when I’m home alone. If I wore them in public I would cry, but for some reason I feel like a god at home. Then I laid in bed and almost fell asleep watching a compilation of those scale mail gauntlet videos, spent too much time on TikTok and YouTube.
