so do you like only like the more violent headcanons and stories with lawrence, or do you just prefer that? (sorry if this sounds like snarky or something, im just wondering, cuz if so, we would be opposites, im a weak weak writer and sucker for wholesome murderers lmao)
I definitely prefer the violence and nastiness more when it comes to Lawrence, because that’s part of why I love him. I fell in love with an anxious, scruffy, adorable man with an apartment full of plants, but I also fell in love with an unstable murderous necrophile with some serious anger and substance abuse issues (among others). So to strip him of that is to strip him of many of his appeals, and more importantly, to strip him of himself. The unapologetic exploration and fetishization of dark themes was what drew me toward BTD in the first place. I have had all these dark desires for years anyway, so it’s excellent that I have a character who lines up with them!
Now! That is not to say I don’t enjoy softer consensual things featuring him. Not at all. The thing is though, due to his character it’s extremely difficult to make these kinds of scenarios work beyond headcanons or entertaining ideas. At least for me. That doesn’t mean I don’t still indulge these fantasies. I gush about romantic sex with him all the time on this blog. Or at least I did. Maybe I haven’t much lately? I gush about him and random HC which are often pretty tame and cute to my friends, constantly. Yesterday when I went to the store I imagined me and Lawrence just fucking going grocery shopping together, and if that’s not one of the sappiest most domestic things you can imagine doing with a fictional character idk what is. I call him my boyfriend and think about us in a loving relationship more often than I’m willing to admit. My friends have called him “bimbo Lawrence” in some of my writings due to my characterization of him (and they’re right). And that’s fine! I have fun. Though I do try to stick to his character for the most part. Once you start stretching his character so far it’s worth looking into making an AU version or even an OC
I haven’t seen a longer story that portrays a wholesome Lawrence work for me (not to mention he’s like the opposite of wholesome in every way xD). But that doesn’t mean you can’t! And even if it doesn’t live up to my standard, a random horny chick on the internet, do it anyway! Don't listen to me! Listen to what you like, and make it
And- you aren’t weak for not liking violent things, or for not wanting to read or write that, or preferring more wholesome things.
