lately, i’ve been getting sm HATE from my mutuals bc of the jungwon fic i am currently writing and it’s been coming from MANY of them. our nominees (by ME) for tonight are; fee, soph, rei, and diana.... - put in a lot of easter eggs omg

- are so consistent with the characters and storyline. I asked you this before if you had it all plotted out and I think you said no, just the main storyline, which was a shock to me because of your consistency

- your way with words. one of my faves being the usage of moonlight, sunshine, the deep, blue, vast ocean (basically everything in Forfeit 💀). it's kinda like story, story, spiceeee, story, then suddenly, beautiful metaphors. you write simply, but very beautifully 🥰

as for the fanfic writer specialty points: thank you! easter eggs are incredibly fun to incorporate in stories, and dear god i want everything to be as inclusive as possible bc i know what it's like to feel excluded from a story, if that makes sense? i hated that feeling when i was reading regularly, so that's why i try my absolute hardest to not let anyone feel left out while reading something i wrote. even though all my written readers are poc/bipoc to me, i still make an effort to keep the stories inclusive.

as for the consistency, thank you! that's something that i have to keep in mind bc of the organic nature of 3tan. if i plot too much, it messes with my flow lol but then i have to keep going back to see what happened and keep going from there.

AWHHHH thank you for the word play comment.. that makes me happy bc i've noticed it while writing sometimes. like "oh, i guess this is a running theme i like to use, huh?" lol then i try not to do it too too much. and writing simply helps me bc i'm already using enough brainpower as is, so to be able to let a lot of things be simple and short eases that workload.

My Uncle passed away earlier today and man, it’s just… Mom hasn’t cried yet but I know that she will soon. It doesn’t even feel real. He was always known as the one that you could count on in the family. If someone died or was sick and he knew that you didn’t have a way to get to that person or to their funeral, etc, he’d always be the one to pick your ass up early in the morning to take you. He used to give the tightest hugs ever and I used to hate it whenever he’d kiss my cheek because of his beard lol. I’d always wipe his kisses off whenever he wasn’t looking lmfao. But now, man… he was always the silly, loud uncle and we have sm fun memories of him even before he got into drugs and got really sick with his diabetes and stuff. I remember how he’d always be the one in the family to take everyone everywhere in his big ole green family van back in the day… he used to give all of the kids money whenever he’d see us lol. A dollar but a dollar used to go a long way back in the early 00’s lmfao. I still wish that he could’ve taught my siblings and I how to drive… he taught sm of our cousins and other family members how to drive but not us lol. The last time that I talked to him was on Mom’s bday the other day (on the 18th) since he called and he sounded so out of it over the phone… not his usual loud and happy self. Sometimes, whenever he would call us, he’d pretend like he was the police or like, a random white guy and we’d all be like “we KNOW it’s you, Uncle Dale 😩!” Lmfaooo. He used to do that sometimes whenever he’d knock on our door, too like boy, stop. I remember when my sis and I got in trouble back in HS for shoplifting (our friend got us into it orz) and he was the one to pick us up from the station and we were scared of our other uncle, the one that no one likes, that asshole, was gonna pick us up and beat us or whatever. But Uncle Dale picked us up instead and we stopped at a gas station or something? And he was like “Y’all know damn well y’all don’t do this but if you were gonna steal, at least do it RIGHT! Like this!” *proceeds to demonstrate how to properly steal something without getting caught right in front of us* lmfaooo. He stole some candy off the shelf and pretended like he tripped and fell to the floor all extra like, twisting around like a goofy and then got up and had the candy in his pocket like, that memory always makes me burst out laughing so much whenever I remember it lmfao. Like bro 😭! I think he gave us the candy, too lol. My sis and I were like 16 at the time I think? My Uncle man, he was just always so fun and happy! I don’t think I’ve ever seen him get angry before or talk badly about anyone like he was just a good dude. He used to be a butcher and stuff and I remember him living in a huge house with his ex wife (she was awful and used to treat him badly. He paid for her weight loss surgery. He put her through school and paid for their house and basically did everything for her no matter how awful she would be towards him and she left him for a White dude 🚶🏾‍♀️ etc etc. No one in the family ever liked her anyway, even Granny. And if Granny didn’t like you than… 🗿. I remember when her daughter tricked my sis, cousin, and I into cleaning up her room for her after we came back from our grannies funeral and only paid us like, $1 or something and we had to split it 🗿. I should’ve told my mom on her. We were at our Uncle’s house when this happened since she lived there and had a big ass room to herself and when my cousin picked up her nasty underwear, we all freaked out and he tossed it across the room 🗿.) I’m getting off topic but man, we have sm great memories of him. He got on drugs and stuff and he lost a ton of weight (he used to be really hefty and stuff but the last bunch of times that we saw him, he just kept on getting skinnier and skinnier…. I hugged him and was like “Uncle Dale, you lost sm weight!?” out loud and I immediately felt awful afterwards. Man……… I’m just… His son, our cousin, just passed last year. He was murdered and we still don’t know who killed him.

dying light 2 rambles [SPOILERS]

holy shit.

i don't even know where to begin.

dying light 2 is everything dying light wasn't.

the characters? you get actually attached to them, and having their life in your hands literally made me genuinely scared and upset multiple times throughout. hakon trapped me for the GRE key and i was so upset because i didn't mean to tell people that he killed lucas, aiden did it on his own. it genuinely made me almost shed a tear both in frustration and the fact that finally this hot man is going to kill me. quinn can vouch that i was really emotional about it LMFAOOO. and the "let lawan detonate the missiles" or "save lawan" BROKE ME. i sat there for a good 10 minutes trying to decide, i love lawan but i knew she wouldn't want the city to die just for her. luckily hakon saved her before she blew up lmao, at least that man did something useful instead of being a jackass. i'm genuinely glad mia died a few hours after we escaped, because she pissed me the fuck off i hate her sm. ik it isn't her fault that waltz was a weirdo and a selfish cocksucker cunt but she should have held that damn key with a tighter grip omg.

the story? absolutely amazing. i'm a sucker for scientific experiments and shit like the GRE. it's genuinely engaging, i have a short attention span and it's hard for anything to get my attention for long periods of time but this game did. i played nonstop for 7 hours today. i've literally never done that before. not with any game or show even if i enjoyed it. i'm ngl i did miss a few details out from the story but honestly i have like the worst memory LMAO.

the voice acting? jonah scott BLEW IT OUT OF THE PARK. every line he delivers is rich with emotion and just rounds aiden's character out perfectly. he put his whole jonussy into it, every line, every effort, everything.

the soundtrack? AMAZING. although the fight music got tedious and annoying for a bit, it's so good regardless. the dynamic music roped me into parkouring more than i intended to numerous times. and fighting renegades to "empowering yourself" was heavenly.

compared to dying light 1? it is dying light on fucking steroids or a drug that makes everything a billion times better than it was in the first game, idk i don't watch euphoria idk drug stuff. it's different than dying light, expanded on the universe & added things i didn't even know dying light 1 was lacking. the environments and seeping with life at every corner. the new infected wasn't exactly my type but so cool nonetheless. combat and boss fights did not feel as tedious as dl1, there was tons of variety so you weren't just killing demolishers over and over. and the variety in quests is so cool. like there's fighting, climbing, puzzles, finding stuff. tons of variety and didn't feel boring or tedious at all. although i sucked at the like plug in electrical thing LMAOO it took me way too long.

overall? beyond my expectations, i had my doubts and my grievances (like the HUD, story, a new protag that's not kyle) but once i actually played it, these things didn't bother me. i still have the health bars activated and in fact they are so useful i love them. and yeah, there's bugs and stuff but who tf cares? i only encountered a few like npcs in cutscenes, rotating heads, etc but honestly it did not bother me at all. the combat can get a little tedious, and i could not parry/timed block to save my life, i relied on the dodge TOO MUCH but it's still fun! not like dying light but i enjoyed it none the less.

final thoughts? HOLY SHIT IT'S SO GOOD. i'm def gonna replay it a bunch to get different endings, hopefully i'll get my happily ever after in a poly relationship with hakon and lawan.
