#i hate that post so much that addition of 'actually bees have 3 genders' gets on my nerves

every time i see the "bees have 3 genders" post i get a little bit closer to becoming the joker. that explanation makes no goddamn sense and i'm saying this as a beekeeper.

not gonna go do a full rant here but ive seen it way too many times to not make this grumbly post.

bees dont work like that! drones literally are males! workers and queens are both females! that's how their whole internal system is set up! the queen just got special food and also a whole spermatheca from her "bridal trip"! that's the difference! she still started out the same way as a worker larva!

okay grumbles are over for now, if you ask me about this be prepared for a powerpoint that i Will make. because i have too many beekeeping resources and also opinions
