painted such a fun little canvas today. maybe it's technically an assemblage even. but yeah it's a screenshot from my thesis + i dangled the synthetic image from wire to evoke the billboarding ^_^
#it was late / dark when i finished so i'll take good pics tomorrow#it's for the exhibit. i wanna make another one tomorrow but i need to get more paint#technically i need to get another blank canvas too but i can just paint over something#ive a couple of whatever bw gouache sketches lying around#btw i knowwww ive been promising to post my thesis but i havent had the time and energy#i got some decision paralysis about my name and digital footprint and anonimity etc and stuff#bc i wanna put it (the executable) on archive.org#and tbf. i was lowkey burnout in five different axes. in particular ai disk horse#i still kinda am. like my thesis / work with gans was at its most enjoyable when we were collectively having fun with janky generators#dale2 is my nemesis. april 2022 was when it allll started going downhill#and like. yall know me yall know im not uninterested on the politics of image synthesis! thats the whole point of my work!#and it is *because* im so interested on that that the discourse was so idiotic and annoying and rage inducing it made me sick#anyway! it was fun working on this one i dont paint traditionally much anymore bc my bedroom is tiny so the setup is cumbersome#i have a whole full size easel (really lucky thrift find) and i love it but it takes up all my free space lmao#i put my paints and supplies and stuff on my bed. cup of water on the floor. surely it can never go wrong
