alright, checked out caroline alexander’s translation of the ililad. wish me luck
#ive read the iliad and odyssey before except it doesn't count since i was in middle school and didn't understand a lot#i don't do well with long form epic poetry because my brain is not great with long form poems#i have hope for eventually reading the shahnameh because like. itd be in teh original language i'd read it and thus be a lot better than a#translation (the translation by dick davis into mostly prose is good tho)#i need to finish my oldest library book first and i think i'll read the water margin before hand but then it's iliad time#vt.talk
