alright then, time for very important tests, because this mf is in the game for what feels like 5 minutes

after this fight starts you have around a minute before heimdall runs at atreus to knock him down. i was curious to see if you can get away from him when it happens so here are the results:

you can’t use wolf form when his running animation starts, but you can use runic summon - it will cancel heimdall’s charge for the duration, but it will start again as soon as you’re done

you can actually land hits on him while he’s running, and it’s hilarious

if you turn your back on him and run he will teleport behind atreus and catch him almost instantly. atreus seems to be faster tho, and could have outrun him if the game wasn’t force-ending the sequence

there’s no funny remark about running away, which is sad given heimdall has a comment for everything you do during this fight

you can’t out-space him with long dodges with the bow, even if you time them precisely. you can dodge him 2-3 times if lucky

him charging at atreus is actually kinda terrifying when you’re trying to escape it, in a funny way
