okie i have an extra scene in my head just for u so im going to share it here in the comments since i Also want to see childe bleeding aesthetically:

so there's probbly a point in the drama where childe is doing something suspicious as part of the mission, but he's making sure to do it in a way where all the civilians have cleared out of the liyue area while he's investigating that part....then there's some minor harbinger conflict where some other harbinger tried to summon a different cursed monster (the lore has So Many of them just hanging around liyue take your pick) or whatever to bring it back to snezhnaya for future study, but it's also presenting a big danger to some of the tiny villages nearby

childe, coldly: you're overreaching beyond mission parameters, comrade

anyways! harbinger infighting!!  they fight while wearing their fatui masks and stuff....millelith show up to based on reports of a big fight, they assume childe was at the center of it, and during the conflict, one of the millelith ends up shooting a crossbow arrow at Childe's side, childe falls into a river and hides there until the guards clear out

childe staggers away onto the shore, manages to use some of his hydro power to break off the noticeable part of the arrow, and seal the wound temporarily, but he's bleeding badly

he sneaks around the harbor streets, trying to get to baizhu pharmacy to either pay/steal-and-pay later for some medicine to treat the wound with

BUT THEN

before childe makes it up the stairs of the pharmacy, he's stopped by millelith guards and yelan who has stepped out of the shadows, who says they're looking for a suspect being pursued by the millelith who got an injury on their side from a crossbow arrow

childe tries to step around, yelan's water whip thing stops him

so he gets yanked down to his knees, and there's a small crowd gathering around them with suspicious whispers

the millelith say that as long as childe is willing to take off his jacket and show that he doesn't have any injuries on him, they can let him pass

AND THEN

out of the crowd, a jacket is draped over childe's shoulders

and zhongli steps forward, expression unsmiling

says he had been with childe a short moment ago, and childe had fallen off a fishing pier to help fetch a box that an old fisherman had dropped by accident or whatever

and asks if that's enough to vouch for childe and to let them pass so childe could get medicine before he catches a cold from the water

yelan begrudgingly lets them pass

and THEN they finally make their way up to the pharmacy, and at that point, childe's wound has gotten so bad that it has bled through his jacket and onto zhongli's glove at his side, staining it a slight red when zhongli takes his hand away so childe can get checked up on

childe thanks zhongli for helping him, says he's sorry for dragging zhongli into trouble with him  「...对不起  、我连累你了」

then passes out

zhongli mumurs that 'if it's for childe's sake, he doesn't mind being troubled' but childe has already fainted and doesn't hear him
