Many years later, after will’s sudden death mike picks up will’s abandoned DOOM mod project of creating a replica of his childhood home —which mike then uploads to GZDoom for others to play. Upon downloading and running the file myhouse.wad, the player is met with a heartfelt passion project reflecting the lives of two “close friends” throughout each other’s lives. But as the levels progress, snippets of will and mike’s shared traumas, fears, and tragedies —as well as a hidden mirrored dimension— also begin to haunt the game, revealing not only their hardest battles in life but also the underlying love story between two men who moved mountains for each other’s happiness.
