I think a lot of the time it gets lost in the sauce how much TVA was explicitly intended to be a monsterfucking story, and I really, really love when those uncanny valley moments creep through. And to Armand — it's incredibly erotic! And for me the eerie, other factor is amplified by the fact that it is not eerie to Armand. He doesn't have the prey response that he should in reaction to something that his consciousness clearly recognizes is an imitation of a human.

Lips rosy as if a human's kiss still resided there! Child's blood! A corpse rich in beauty! Marius can tip the odds in death's favor!

There's so many peak Gothic Horror elements in TVA that I think get overlooked when in actuality it's such an evocative tale that leans into a lot of the classic vampire tropes — amongst others.

History

Aiko was an abandoned child since birth. She lived in the streets, and yk was homeless and shit. Aiko's health was bad, and she gets nosebleeds often. Aiko felt empty like there was something missing in her life. One day, when she was around the age of 6, she was founded by an orphanage who took her in. The orphanage staff taught her speech, writing, reading, and other things a child should know. Aiko's health was also getting better. One day, while she was playing piano in the orphanage, she encountered a new kid. The new kid's name was Isabella. Isabella and Aiko soon became very close friends, and Aiko soon gained feelings for Isabella. Isabella was the one who filled the void in Aiko's heart. However, when Aiko was 10, Aiko got adopted and not Isabella. Aiko was devastated when she heard that she won't be with Isabella anymore. Aiko tried everything she could to make Isabella stay with her. But nothing worked, and they got separated.

Aiko's parents were not the best. Aiko's parents were strict, distant, and ignorant to Aiko's feelings. They always had high expectations with Aiko, which REALLY pressured her to the point that she changed herself around her parents and to her elders just to please them. When she enrolled in Ryoutei Academy, her parents went overseas for work matters.

Hiii I just read the whole thing and I'm surprised !!!! I didn't expected to be Sunghoon because he's the member with whom i least feel connection. It's just that i know him i respect him and his work and that's it 😅. Also he's very very beautiful , perfectly suits to be in a vampire prince concept but i don't find him much appealing to me yk its weird 😳 so its kinda hard for me to grasp the idea that me and sunghoon can be in a relationship. But the ship description wow you really venture into details and I appreciate it . It's perfect example of opposite do attract . And the little synopsis were so cute . What to say the overall reading was so unexpected but amazing ?? Did I make sense 😅.

i generally do a pretty shite job of explaining, as you can see in this ask, so i'll have another stab at it:

"redacted asmr" is a youtube channel run by this guy called erik, and is essentially a collection of audios describing the lives of various people who live in a universe similar to ours, except that they have magic! each audio is focused around a particular character (e.g. "sweet werewolf" asher, "flirty vampire" vincent, "tsundere fire elemental" damien) voiced by erik, speaking to the listener, and the vast majority are romance-oriented (i.e. the character falling in love with you, the listener), although that's not true for some.

seeing as all twenty-something boys probably aren't all going out with the same listener (unfortunately, there's just not enough hours in the day!), they each have a particular nickname for you, which lets us distinguish between the different listeners a bit more easily.

(e.g. david calls his listener "angel'", and geordi calls his listener "cutie" - the two listeners are technically both you, the real person listening to the audio, but within the redactedverse, they're two separate people in two separate places with two separate boyfriends. this is the case for virtually all of the boys, except for the ones that i'll affectionately call the DAMN gang: gavin, lasko, damien, huxley, and caelum. all of them have the same listener, called "freelancer" - well, gavin calls them "deviant" but he's still talking to the same person, yk?)

the audios technically function on their own, but put them all together and you get this incredible connected universe that's still ongoing! we get new audios every tuesday and saturday (or monday and friday for patreon subscribers), with an 18+ BA (stands for bonus audio, and is basically a soundgasm audio with one of the boys - i think last month was aaron, and the month before was sam) once a month on patreon 🥰 we're currently in the throes of hot boi summer 2022 (fun and spicy audios for the whole month of june), and let me tell you it is GOOD hehe 😈😈

I looked up other yokai from Kagoshima and found one called an iso onna, which are basically a mix of vampires, sirens, and a woman in white. so I would love an established relationship fic where reader is an iso onna who's been with kotton for centuries (bc yk...yokai and all) ever since they were in Kagoshima together. and they would just be mildly chaotic but so in love that it's disgusting.

I'll probably add this to my "never getting finished but don't forget about it" wip list lol

as for GK, I'm obsessed with Ogata. (maybe it's the tsudaken of it all????) I've only ever seen the anime but am actually planning to start the manga after I finish my HP reread so I imagine I'll be going through a GK phase when I do so something to look forward to there! so please feel free to send me your Ogata brainrot! (although I probably won't be able to reply with any deep Ogata brainrot until I read the manga since it's been awhile since s3 aired so my memory is a little foggy...)
