ok ok ok it's gonna sound insane for a minute but it's fine

basically. um. what if hawkeye and trapper didnt sleep together untiiiiil around abyssinia henry when yknow tensions are high and emotions are fucked up and blah blah blah they sleep together then hawkeye goes off on his r&r and comes back and trapper's gone and etc.

and then. a couple months into bj being there hawkeyes like Um why do i feel weird and sick all the time and etc. and like. long story short it turns out trapper got him pregnant actually

also hawkeye's ftm. Thanks. but how does this work its the army in the 50s? i dont care. that's a lie i care deeply and have done an insane amount of research. there's lore.

ANYWAY so basically hawkeye has to tell bj, and bj is insane anyway but he has even more of an insane crisis due to:

so hawkeye has to be sent home obviously and THAT'S a whole can of worms bc it's like, he's going home to keep his baby safe but there are so many other peoples babies who are going to die because he isnt there to save them etc etc.

anyway then trapper finds out hawkeyes home somehow and shows up and is like . Um. and hawkeyes like. Yeah. and things are TENSE AND AWKWARD there. and he does not contact bj at all. and bj does not contact hawkeye but he spends his whole entire time in korea not only missing his actual wife and child but also missing hawkeye and hawkeyes child who he doesnt even know anything about and doesn't know if it's even like. born yet. and he has NO CONNECTION TO THIS CHILD SO WHY IS HE MISSING IT AND WORRYING ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

meanwhile trapper is World's Best Dad obviously. and the moral of the story at the very end is here's how beejhawktrap can still win.

i have like 5k actually written and more outlined but writing it is hell bc there are sad parts and i dont want to write them. so. rip to this au it'll live forever in my gdocs drafts<3
