Hey!! I hope you've been doing well! I'm not sure about how you feel on random questions but- what's your favorite undertale au and why? I'm just curious! -Grillby anon

Oh, I don’t mind “random” questions! I prefer for them to be related to UT unless I reblog a meme or something that states otherwise, but this is fine :) 

I’m making a cut here because uhhh I finally can and also it’s going to be a little long.

I don’t think I have a favorite AU? I tend to make my own versions of the most popular AUs, if they don’t appeal to me, ahaha. I also got into the game really late, and a lot of the AUs going on now are weird and obscure and so far off from the original characters that it’s just mind-blowing and unappealing as an AU, as opposed to an original story. 

Despite this, however, there are a few I like!

I like Uldertane by @underfruit, it’s like Underswap. Most of their content for it focuses on Sans and Papyrus. I like it bc it’s closer to how I would do Underswap. 

There’s also the @turnoverau. Similar to the idea of Underswap, but different character pairs are flipped, such as Grillby & Sans, or Alphys & Mettaton. My current icon is based on fan art of that AU, actually! There… hasn’t been many updates on it in a few months, though, so I’m not sure if the story is still under construction? But the concept is really nice. 

Underfell is… a weird and popular classic, of course, but like I said: I have different ways of going about it. But my ideas aren’t popular bc 1. I don’t really do anything with it? and 2. my version is a bit different from what I’m guessing is a years-old, very established AU. Anyways, I like my version of it, which makes some of the characters way less cool, but whatever. It’s mostly in my head, aside from a few one-off posts on my blog (mostly art requests). It’s only in this faves list bc I made it. 

The Papyrus Disbelief AU is a guilty pleasure, but there’s definitely a few things I’d do differently with it. That one video on YouTube is really good, tho, especially with the music (which can only be found as Piano and Acoustic covers on Spotify :/ )  

Oh, and also the Refusal AU. I like that one a lot.
