playing with the free love mod is really making me realize how bland a lot of the marriage dialogue is for the base game stardew characters cuz now i have other modded characters in my home to directly compare them to.

like, shiro and jeric from ridgeside will always have a couple lines based on their personality or story up to that point. like yes they’ll repeat lines but most everything they say is still interesting.

meanwhile sam will sometimes just be like “what’s on your agenda today?” and that’s it. like some of their lines will be a bit more fun and flavorful but i still think on average the base game characters have it way worse and have lost a lot of personality once i marry them.
