lots of people reacting with surprise to the “zevran is 25” post. to be clear iirc this is world of thedas canon so a) i would not expect it to be obvious to anyone who hasnt read WOT vol2 or obsessively googled things and b) i still consider WOT kind of wishy washy canon where like it’s basically fine if you made a different assumption and prefer that. that being said i think being 25 only adds to zevran’s character and that people would write more accurate zevrans if they kept that number in mind

#i think people see this impression zevran puts out of being you know worldly and experienced #and they often end up with a zev who is much more emotionally aware and especially self-aware than i find particularly believable #if zevran is the guy in the relationship who is really easily recognising emotional problems and leading his partner through solving them #hes probably not quite right #like you dont want to overshoot it on the other side and have zevran be #essentially babied by the wise warden who never gets anything wrong because they take their lines directly from a therapy textbook #which i also see but like. there’s a balance #i just think its worth remembering he’s the ‘you dont want the earring you dont get the earring very simple!!’ guy #and is 25 #i think that makes for more zevvy zevs

Zevvie! I made a horde priest just for PvP but slowly she got a story.

I've been working on Elu's story and Zev's somehow ended up being a big part of it. Since Elu and Zev are both priests, it started there.

In my head, Elu was a belf first. I keep going back and forth with how much I want to show about their relationship. But for now, I should probably draw them together first.

I was really into the idea that Zev is the exact opposite of Elu. She's plain-looking and muscular (as much as a belf can really be.) She's more of a battle priest than Elu. Right now I have some bits in her TRP about being an exorcist. Initially it was kind of? a joke but it's actually very good.

Her personality makes Elu feel like she's seen because all Z sees is the good in people. Z reflects that back to her.

In some ways she's also the good side of her conscience. I think that's where their struggles come from. And even someone as sunny as Zev has their breaking point.

I love a good tragedy but I promise there's lots of good stuff in there, too!
