what drives me up a wall every time, is when a show takes their ensemble cast, who all bounce off each other so well, and arguably is the strength of the show, and separates them. i get that it is sometimes necessary for plot reasons, okay, an episode or two apart, distance makes the heart grow fonder, but the whole season? i also understand there are sometimes filming constraints, where certain actors arent available for certain days, okay, well, lets figure out a schedule that works for everyone then? lets not make subpar entertainment just because you are in a rush to get the season out and make the most money? lets not disrespect the audience's time and emotional investment by giving them a storyline that is no ones first choice?
#i was going insane when i watched season 4 with hopper in russia i was like surely notttt they arent gonna keep him there the whole season#and also the kids being separated too i just dont like it and then the final ep when they are together ofc is the best#i know a lot of ppl maybe even most. loved the last season and it had good things to it but meh it was just a set up for the next season#but this relates to plenty of other shows. its like “oh they are growing. its good!” well i dont want them to! lol#too scared to post this in the main tag lol#stranger things critical#stranger things spoilers#rant
