Imagine after you descend you realize the reality of your situation so you ask Nahida to hide you away here for a while, because you still need time to process this and you don't think you can handle other people right now. So the only two people you talk to are her and of course Wanderer, mostly the latter because he can't seem to stay away from you even though he scoffs and acts like his time is so precious! (Auntie Nahida's shipping you two ofc)

When he thinks about it, he almost cringes at himself at the way he acts around you. It's actually so funny - you're still unaware that he heard all of your unfiltered simping, and what's more is that he actually blushes at them more often than not. It's a good thing you were unconscious when Wanderer first saw you because he was internally freaking out that the person he's been admiring the whole time is right in front of him, flesh and blood and all.

Wanderer practically spends all of his time by your side, eagerly eating up your attention that's solely on him, not on the others at all for once. He doesn't see the point in meaningless conversations but for you?? He'll let you go on and on as he sits there silently and just listens. He still tries to keep up his usual grumpy and grouchy self but seeing your smile and laugh in person and not behind a screen for once is slowly chipping away at his walls. He's baffled someone can be so beautiful... but it's you after all. And you have no problems with giggling and praising and giving him all the affection in the world! When the Traveler and Paimon ask him where he's been, he just scoffs and tells them it's not their business. As if he's going to tell him he's been basking in the presence of the most glorious person alive, the one who's making his chest pound like crazy. He's clearly and undoubtedly your favorite, there's no need for you to bother with the others.
