my latest true detective season one autism activities have been making a map of louisiana (and a bit of texas) marking off every place the characters are said to have visited and a timeline of everything that happened to them that we have specific years for (some of them aren't from the year being said but from characters saying like "four years ago") which i definitely could have made look a lot less terrible but i was more focused on accuracy than it looking nice maybe i'll remake it idk

#i will never be fully happy with the map because i couldn't find carcosa #they never say where it was they only give hints but none of them line up #my phone and laptop looked like that charlie iasip meme with maps and lists of possible towns and roads and parishes #i didnt even know what a parish was until a couple days ago i know louisiana far better than i ever thought i would #ive been all over it in google maps but a lot of the towns in the bayou have no street view #at one point i genuinely considered writing the showrunner an email asking him to tell me where carcosa is supposed to be #when i say carcosa i mean the place at the end of the show its just more fun to say carcosa #but i had to admit defeat. map forever unfinished </3 #when i told my mother i was making these she looked at me like i was crazy and when i told my dad he got excited and helped me #autistic father son bonding :3 #micah.txt #detectiveposting
