I don't get why people get so up in arms about the prince's appearance in Beauty and the Beast. Like, if homeboy was beefy and hairy from the get go, I don't think being turned into a beast that is hairy and beefy would have been such a shock to the system?

Like. The point was that it was meant to a punishment? Like, yeah, it was a "make the inner ugliness visible" type of a situation, but also it was a supposed to be a deeply alarming transformation. That was the point?

Idk, the idea that he shouldn't look like a pampered, pretty boy has always baffled me because he literally is a pampered pretty boy. What were you expecting?
