alright, question. because this post is getting very long.
i've still got a couple more pages left of this, and this is kinda the first time i've been adding onto a comic arc in real time on tumblr. so i'd just like to hear opinions

Edit: Somehow, my queue glitched and posted this earlier this week, so hopefully~ this works out-
Golly, another @khoc-week has come and gone, time sure flies when you're having fun-
Thank you for another AWESOME week full of such fun OCs!!! I love seeing everyone's creativity shine through their characters, it's like a small look into everyone's brains where we can admire the little worms living in there... in a good way!
Whether they're freshly hatched or well aged, these silly guys always bring me so much joy! :)
Genuinely, I wish I had the energy to interact with every single one of them, so instead I will blow them all a kiss from afar!!! ♥ ♥ ♥ They are what makes this week of the year truly special!
Beware, I will be lurking in tags ready to pounce on every OC I see after this is over I'm OBSESSED- (jk jk... unless?)
Onwards, then, to the final prompt of the year!!
Day 7 - Happily Ever After
Tumblr media
Now, alas I've been following the canon timeline and filling in gaps with my own fun worldbuilding, characters and lore, so by all rights their stories are not gonna reach a happy ending for a WHILE (writing? who is she?), however the hypotheticals are always a good way to cope with that!
What their endings have reached so far while we're in lore hiatus (waiting endlessly for Missing Link and KH4... jk jk I hope they take their time tbh-) is that ideally after KH3, while everyone is looking for Sora, they're world jumping and clearing out remaining hoards of darkness together as a crew, alongside Reixen for more bonding time, in a variety of new places! They solve some mysteries surrounding their own personal character arcs and learn things about themselves they never considered, it's a real eye opener. Day 2 kinda hints at that with my picks of places I want them to go to fulfill that! At this rate, they may just be a series of oneshots...
Of course, it all eventually HAS to end, so here's some loose ends and how they may tie them up!
Iris:
Considering Iris ended up in the future, of course she has to cope with the reality that the worlds she knew are gone, or at least have yet to be restored (aside from Daybreak Town there's no repairing that-). Plus the existential crisis of having technically been dead AND given a new, puppet-esque body to inhabit. Lucky, she is, to even be here to begin with.
At the same time, she's helping Alto regain his memories from the same era they both managed to escape in some way. Being repeatedly reincarnated kinda screws some things up along the way, so it's a long haul process for the both of them to come to terms with.
Depending on what happens with the Scala ad Caelum plotline, they may both travel there, or to what's left of it, for closure, as well as to learn about the culture there to see what became of it after they were both long gone. Pay their respects to Alto's pal Ephemer and all that.
Her ending ideally is moving on and learning to live in a time she didn't anticipate seeing, which should be simple in theory since she's so young. She stays with Irene and Alto in Radiant Garden, and together with Alto they both take up lessons with Merlin and Yen Sid to learn more modern Keyblade skills, eventually (despite being Keyblade Master precursors) they are granted the titles of Master and help protect the universe.
♡♡♡
Irene:
She returns to her job, forever changed by her experiences, and helps her fellow castle staff move on and forgive themselves for the horrors they had to go through. It's a long haul process, but it will be worth it!
She finds herself a comfy living place in Radiant Garden to offer as a safe space for those she grew close to when they need it, where she essentially adopts Alto and Iris, since they don't really have a place to go that isn't rooming with a wizard or an on-the-road teenager. From time to time she also travels to Twilight Town to visit Reixen and her found family (maybe attending her polycule wedding at some point), but otherwise seems perfectly content staying put. Maybe the occasional visit from Iliana, as a treat. That doesn't require much aside from constant pestering, really.
While readapting to life a decade later than she's used to is a hassle in of itself, she seems to do it with grace, which is impressive considering she was presumed dead for said decade-
She also has that wonderful romance with Russell, as they deserve, and they both get to retire at some point knowing they have their chance to heal from all the suffering they experienced... and with more adopted kids than they know what to do with-
♡♡♡
Iliana:
What I envision for her is kind of complicated and long, so I'll try to keep it short-
Ideally, she gets to save her world once and for all while also getting rid of Igni, which almost costs her her life (nothing is allowed to be easy with Igni, as we've learned from Day 4-). So afterwards she's in recovery surrounded by the loved ones she gained along the way. For how long? Who's to say, miss ma'am will either be MIA or in a comatose sleep (jk jk... unless?) so it depends entirely on her and the awful side effects of Igni's possession tbh-
Chronically ill? With Igni goo disease? More likely than you think!
On the bright side, she finally gets to reunite with her brother in this timeline, though later than intended, and the two eventually take off on a journey of self discovery! Or they probably camp out with their uncle for a while before they do that, either way. They make up for lost time and get to grow together as people while also tying up a whole heap of loose ends their pasts left behind. A whole heap is nothing to sneeze at in this case-
In between, she makes time to check in on various allies as well as hang out with (her nerdy now bf) Ienzo. They have a funky long distance relationship because of her travels, so she surprises him with her presence when she can.
Maybe she gets an engineering degree, who knows? Certainly not me, at least not yet.
I like to think she eventually takes on apprentices or something and is probably the most annoying mentor known to the universe, especially if one of her apprentices is conveniently a secret younger sibling (I joke but... maybe-).
Nothing will be easy, of course some stupid new plot will pop up and she'll have even more nonsense to deal with, but that's a later issue to think about.
♡♡♡
And finally, they all get therapy ♥
They're doomed by the narrative to be absolutely demolished but can never truly die, so it's only fair they can live out somewhat happy and fulfilling lives despite every up and down I throw at them!
That's all I've got for this prompt, thank y'all for another wonderful KHOC Week and I will see y'all next year!!
Or in the tags, I'm always in the tags. :3c

Ok time to rip the bandaid... what horrors await us in the third world? Im terrified and intrigued all at once
>:)
Arce and Galvatron are spit out back on earth, at the same coordinates they left at. What used to be Destructicon HQ is now wide open and empty. It's a total deserted wasteland.
Both of them are reeling, being bombarded with new memories and also the weird Things time travel does to your body. Arcee recovers a bit faster, having done this once before, and is already braced for a fight.
Galvatron doubles over suddenly, both servos clasped over his chassis, gasping in what sounds like pain. Arcee briefly wonders if he's going to drop dead, cease to be, if whatever-it-was that killed him in the original timeline happened to him here, too
But no, he's fine
His helm snaps up, expression slack and optics already full of tears as he rasps out, "My baby...!"
Before she can think to ask or move to disarm him or anything, the ground trembles all at once and promptly explodes with a swarm of insecticons. There's a guttural screaming noise, a huge voice that neither of them recognize screaming, "IT HUUURTS! GAHHH MAKE IT STOP, MAKE IT STO-O-OP!"
It's a mech that dwarfs both of them, they don't even come up to his knees. He's trying to kill them, on a rampage, insecticons crawling all over his massive towering frame and ripping at their plating at his command.
He doesn't seem to really be paying attention to them, exactly, screaming for "it" to stop, lashing out at everything around him, clawing at his helm.
They don't realize what the hell is going on, and kinda end up back to back fighting for their lives. Insecticons are always formidable opponents, even moreso when there's a goliath adversary trying to curbstomp them.
Their salvation comes from an unexpected place: Arcee recognizes Breakdown but none of the 4 mechs with him, and even after travelling through time a few times her jaw drops when they transform and combine. Menasor stands before them, even bigger than the one trying to kill them, and that's when it clicks that their opponent--Swarm, his name is Swarm--is a combiner.
The two of them are evacuated through a ground bridge, thankfully not by more enemies.
They're on earth once again, but this time, the great war for Cybertron is primarily fought by the majority of the citizens--everyone from middle and working castes down to the slaves, fighting unified against the elite and the 1%: the old council and the billionaires, who make up for their lack or numbers with their secret weapon. The council/senate had the Enigma of Combination locked away in their vaults, and when their subjects rose against them, they made use of the relic and made themselves an unwilling army of giants.
Swarm is one such soldier, made up of a few familiar faces (any guesses as to whom? 👀)
The opposing faction calls themselves the Protectobots, because they're dedicating to "protecting"/preserving Cybertron's Golden Age, i.e. the age of the rigid functionist caste system. And their opponents are Lifeacons (I couldn't come up with anything else ok?? Their protests taglines was, "All lives should be equal.")
I could go on and on and ON about what exactly lead to this point, but I'll save that for another post!

I think I've set my bias about Chaos and Ultimate Tag aside for now. From the looks of it they're taking a drastically different approach to the time choujin, so I'm really curious about how they're going to implement them into the ongoing storyline.
But I'm still surprised they're going back to them so soon, considering that the Revival started releasing not even 4 months after Ult Tag ended and Yudetamago probably were already working on it by the time they were finishing up the Young Masters vs. Five Disasters match.
It's all kind of pointing towards the 2011 run ending with this story arc. Granted I thought the manga would end with the defeat of the 12 Choushin, because what greater antagonists could they come up with beyond the choujin gods themselves? Although given that they intended the Revival to connect into Nisei as early as right before its serialization started, it'd make sense that the final villains would be the time choujin. I've heard theories about the series concluding with a time reset that'd lead to Nisei's timeline, but wow I really hope that doesn't happen. The Revival has already wrapped up so many loose ends and improved so many characters, it'd feel like a rug pull if things went back to the way they were.
The original 36 volumes were released over an 8 year span, while the Revival alone has been running for 12 years (14 if you include Vol. 37). That's almost as long as base Nisei and Ult Tag combined, which made up 13 years of Yude's career. Assuming they're gonna take at least as long as the Perfect Origin Arc to establish and defeat the Five Great Times & the God of Time IN ADDITION to resolving the energy imbalance crisis and The One's reformation plan and Satan and what have you, then the Revival is on its way to become the longest running Kinnikuman sub-series (Yeah it's a part of the original run, but at this point it's its own thing). Obviously the Revival doesn't have the problem that Ult Tag had where a single story arc had to be stretched out over 28 volumes, but I'm a bit worried if it'll face similar longevity problems, since the Choushin arc felt kinda dull and unclear plot-wise until The Man's and The One's exposition dump.
The time choujin's designs so far don't really do it for me, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to find out more about them. Fanatic stealing Psychoman's appearance and mannerisms feels offensive as hell, but that's exactly what makes him so intriguing. Did the God of Time deliberately clone him from his hat or something? The Exocet Missiles were amazing too, I just hope we'll get to see Aristera and Pirateman in action again. Wonder if they're also gonna bring back the concept of complete choujin, even though that'd require them to bring back Lightning and Thunder as well.

From what I can tell of the time line....
The movies Heroes Rising and World Heroes' Mission take place like.... about a month apart. Maybe a little more, maybe even less???
These kids are going THROUGH IT. HOLY FUDGE NOODLES
They go from fighting a crazy powerful group of villains and very nearly dying after defending an island that Wasn't Supposed To Have Villains. To, not even a month later, fighting a Terrorist Cult that is Literally all over the World and again coming very close to dying.
Give. Them. A. REST
explanation of timeline(?) Below
Okay. So heroes rising takes place AFTER the villain arc, because when shiggy shows up he's missing his two fingers.
The villain arc I think happens sometime in December??
Like. Sometime in (late?)october is when the league kinda first finds out about Gigantomachina, and it think its stated somewhere that they're fighting him or a month/ month and a half when they go after the Meta liberation army. Which puts the league vs meta liberation in early December. (Late Nov. at the earliest)
Now here's rising is after that, but not sure how much. But it's also (presumably) after Todoroki and Bakugo do their make up tests for their hero licenses , since I'd assume they'd have to have them to work on the island. And I think its stated in the show that todo and baku get their liscense 9 (???) Days after the attack with the liberation army.
I think in heroes rising itself, it says soemthing about them being on vacation from school (Like how the training camp was over their summer break.) I'm not entirely sure when the breaks are for japanese schools, so I'm not sure if Heroes Rising has time to happen before their Christmas party, or if it occurs afterward.
But most likely Heroes rising takes place around late December.
World Heroes Mission takes place while the boys have their internship with Endeavor.
Their internship begins a week before their winter break is over. (With the Todoroki family dinner at the end of the first week and right before classes start back up) so this is the beginning of January(?).
It's also mentioned that the boys will be continuing their internship, but for 2 days each week after classes start again.
World Heroes Mission. I had assumed it was during that first week, as all the other students are also on their internships at the same time.
Theres also the Show specific arc of Uraraka and Tsuyu on their internship stopping a ship from transporting illegal goods, which I think they specified as the Drug Trigger. I think it was implied that some of the stuff still got away, or was just part of a bigger organization. I think this was supposed to be alluding to Humarise/ the set up for WHM.
So it would make sense for WHM to happen shortly after that, as I'm assuming the heroes would want to jump o that sooner rather than later.
However, at the time of the Todoroki family dinner, Deku has some control over blackwhip, but he states that he can really only control it for a second (which is actually more like 5 to 10 seconds, but ok, sure deku). In WHM he's constantly using balckwhip and seems to have a good handle on it.
So WHM might actually take place a little more into their school year. Like late January or early February. This would give time for Deku to get better with blackwhip and for Pro Heroes to gather Intel and plan for the raids that happen in WHM. And as for all the students working at their internships at the same time, its very possible that they were specially called in, like how the kids are all called in for the Raid on the Paranormal Liberation Army (I dont think that's what they call themselves exactly, but I'm too lazy to look up the name, sorry), which is shown at the very end of season 5.
So
It could be:
Heroes Rising happens at the very end of December and World Heroes Mission happens in the first week of Endeavor Intership, which is the beginning of January. Which would put them like.... barely a week apart. If that. Class 1a, but especially Deku, Bakugo and Todoroki, are having a Very Bad Time jgsjgdjgdjyf.
Or (more likely)
Heroes Rising still takes place late December, but World Heroes Mission takes place closer to late January or even early February, so theres about a month or so between movies. Which is still A Very Bad Time for them.
These kids can't catch a break
At least in WHM they knew they were going up against a crazy terrorist cult, and had pro heroes on their side, whereas in Heroes rising they werent expecting villains, and were completely on their own.
(Theres also the possibility of whm happening even later. Like in march. But i think that's a bit too late, and i wanna say that the heroes in japan still had their winter outfits, but i dont really remember now, I didn't pay that close of attention, and march could be either still cold enough for winter suits, Or warm enough for summer outfits)
