#i am so tired of people lecturing me about magic systems#because i keep getting this creeping feeling that I know where it comes from#a lot of nerddom gets this feeling of superiority out of mastering complex systems...and then gatekeeping the fuck out of them#i worked for years writing documentation for techbros like this and i'm so burned out#and so much of the same mentality has infected fantasy of all things#let magic be weird and wild and unpredictable and outside the scope of human logic sometimes#more folklore less fucking programming please
