Hi friend!
Tumblr media
3. Which artist/band have you seen the most live?I’ve seen Sabaton, Kamelot and Nightwish twice each. And if you also count opening acts, I’ve seen Battle Beast twice as well.
15. Worst concert you’ve been to?Probably my first one? It was Rammstein, back in 2013. And it wasn’t because of the band (really, they were phenomenal) but we got seats in the back, there were mosh pits, I didn’t like some of the people I went with, all three things which wouldn’t be so bad except for the fact that I was really unused to the whole thing (see: first concert; also see: I was young and green and really didn’t know how to get out of the way once the whole pit formed around me). Since then I’ve always been front row and only gone with friends and I never looked back.Otherwise, performance-wise I’d say there isn’t any ‘worst’ one, I’ve been graced with good fortune in that regard.
23. Favorite concert venue?Arenele Romane / The Roman Arenas, which looks like a Roman forum like the Coliseum. Here’s the thing, with venues like Romexpo it’s definitely more spacious since it’s organised outside and there’s a whole fucking field for you to enjoy. But I prefer the old crumbling Arena, as unsafe as it is and in desperate need of work done to it. It’s where some of the best concerts I’ve been to were held, and it’s honestly very aesthetically pleasing, as well as more intimate in a way though it can still host a large amount of people. Plus, in winter time they are able to put up a warm tent so you can comfortably go to concerts there in January. There’s something extremely pleasing about how it looks when the whole crowd is jumping; in larger, field-like venues you usually only have the first category of tickets (those in front of the stage and up to like a quarter or a half of the venue) jumping and letting loose, but in the Roman Arenas you get plenty of footage of the whole place jumping, and it’s really something else to watch and most importantly be a part of. It’s definitely a better atmosphere.
41. Longest you’ve waited in line for a concert? Probably three hours? I usually go with our common friend whom I shall not name, and as we both know he tends to go there six hours in advance which you can’t blame me for not joining him for, so I usually just show up an hour or two before the access starts and find him there in the queue.
52. Favorite song you’ve heard live? I’d have to say “Primo Victoria” by Sabaton because of the whole atmosphere around it. The whole crowd jumping and throwing their arms up at the same time. I’ve sent you this before but I’ll link it here again; I was front-row for this performance and man was it great. Also, an honourable mention is “The Greatest Show On Earth” by Nightwish. I’ve seen it live both times and there’s just something that gives you goosebumps about a whole crowd screaming out the “We were here” bit.
58. Have you ever lost something/got something stolen at a concert?Ah, yes. A sweet studded bracelet I’d bought in Greece. The next year I got two to replace it. 😂
65. Have you seen any artists in concerts that you don’t like anymore? Not really? If I had to categorise the artists I’ve seen live, I’d list them either as favourite bands, bands I’m okay with, or bands I’m ‘eh’ about. I’ve never really attended concerts for bands I didn’t like, and I can’t say I have any bands I stopped liking if I liked them in the first place, I guess.
Thank youuu! 💙
