toffee!
yeah same, i follow some fic accs that occaisionally post smut and its like mmmmm is the fluff writing enough to balance the posts that gives me finger burn trying to scroll past it? but yeah thats probably the way to go
ah i wasnt there for the teaser but i can imagine that was tantalising. lmaoo yes but to be fair i do have a writing acc called channiesbigheart so... balancing it out? but i absolutely am whipped beyond belief. it was a TRAVESTY how COULD they have. yeah the b sides gave him more lines but they werent the ones that were performed over and over at stages. yessss the line distribution in this album is impeccable, im pretty sure the thunderous stuff was some of their best distribution
hehe i can understand that, sometimes putting someone in a situation so horrible it would be considered a violation of human rights is theraputic, ya know? mmmm the differences are a bit nuts, it was 14 degrees today and in less than a week its going to be 32 or smth. BROOO that would be legendary, i bet theyd treat their artists rlly well and have great music as well ahhh but its a lot of work adn commitment. yES that is a mood if ever i heard one.
its the same in australia as well, sadly, you have people who hold up harry styles and lil nas x for breaking gender roles and wearing make up adn steryotypical womens clothing (and keep in mind i have infinite respect for both of them theyre honestly doing so much for the de-dehumanising of gay people and those who wear whatever they want), and calling the kpop boys gay and other things for doing the same thing, when theyve been doing it for years and gotten no recognition smh its so tragic. yes, anyway YES ONLY 6 MONTHS I AM FOR ALL INTENTS AND PURPOSES A BBY STAN altho i considered myself a fully fledged stay like 2 days after i got into them cos i just spent all day researching and fixating. YES someone said it. it feels like theyre losing a huge chunk of why a lot of people liked their music in teh first place, which was that whole dna, dope, fire mood. and even doing bright songs is fine, liek they should do what they want but i feel liek the western music industry is so fucking toxic that they feel pressured into making these decisions. dont get me wrong, theyre good decisions from a business perspective, theyre getting record breaking sales but still. mmm yeah honestly yg just needs to get its shit together or get out
oooh! not into nct but i see a lot of him, he seems rlly talented. ahh yes another channie ult lmaoo i feel that, my list is growing in leaps and bounds as well. mmm yeah i think i will, im just going to try to save enough money :) mingi appealed to me mostly for the voice (like felix smh what is it with me and deep voiced bois) but also his soft visuals and the whole cutesy thing he has going on i rlly liked. yes i did get into them while he was on hiatus, but im still mostly a casual stan, ill listen to the album when it comes out but i dont think ill obsessively look over everything to do with it, like skz. HAH WE'RE MORE SIMILAR THAN I THOUGHT. lmaooo the thot line describes them perfectly, why are they all so damn attractive. especially seonghwa, like that man looks like a character from a book, cardan greenbriar vibes anyone? mmhmm! his vocals are absolutely insane. ty! yeah im excited altho idk how theyre every going to beat border:carnival, that shit was impeccable. ahh no stress, enjoy teh groups you stan atm!
ahh thank you so much, ill keep that in mind. hehe thats good! hopefully its soon :( ah ty, it means a lot. ill think abt that and hopefully talk abt it a little more :)
ah, no it was inside our gymnasium but to get to the other side of the stage you had to exit the building, go around the back and then enter through the other stage door. ah tysm! im glad too. mmm same, they baffle me. ;n; noo so sad :( ahh, thats um not smth i put on here, but im in high school so make of that what you will :)
thank you! ive done a majority of them, i just have maths, an english presentation and an economic assignment due now so im pretty much home free. yeah i feel like hes the epitome of here for you while being inescapably far away. haha she sounds like one of my friends. lmaooo why is that me. hmmm i feel like youve answered a lot of them in that answer so maybe just ateez, enha, txt and bp? if you stan them? :)
ahhh no problem at all, proud of you for managing to overcome the procrastination! progress! mmm thats good! ahh pls do let me know if you ever decide that, i cant promise i wont cry but do what you gotta do :)
<3 w.a. 🐺
hi! sorry for the late reply, i didn't know how to construct sentences yesterday e.e
yeah sometimes it's the perfect balance! i personally don't like fics that focus mainly on the filth? the plot has to carry the whole fic somehow and the smut is just something to add to the mix. also, i'll follow you on your writing blog! i keep forgetting to do so, damn it.
"sometimes putting someone in a situation so horrible it would be considered a violation of human rights is theraputic, ya know?" putting it this way just silenced me but yes. angst just feels more realistic. it isn't always happy endings irl so i tend to do it a lot.
falling into skz is so easy! it felt like that for me too. stanning them felt like getting sucked into a blackhole. also yes i agree. kpop is nothing but an industry after all and it runs on money so i get why they do what they do as well.
i suggest we not talk about haechan because i will literally not shut up but yes my boy is an ace :( chan is also sooooo easy to love. and the chan's rooms just solidified his place as ult. having something to look forward to every week at a time when my mental health was just plummeting into the depths of tartarus just helped me be stable. oh yeah, mingi's deep voice is indeed sexc. and he has some wack ass duality as well! and i think seonghwa was one of the people i nearly considered as bias just because of his visuals because wow that's one beautiful face. and true, idk how enha's going to beat border:carnival. i don't like all the tracks simply bc of taste preferenceds but i like more than one so i consider that a lot already.
bro that gym should've had some sort of a covered walk :// also i miss being in high school sO DAMN MUCH. but i still feel like i am because time stopped when quarantine started and i was still in senior year at the time.
my ateez bias is wooyoung! it wasn't that much of a shocker to my kpop stan irls because i was a jimin stan for the longest time. enhypen is jake and they kept pointing out that he looked like seungmin sometimes so it's like chan's aussie-ness with a tinge of seungmin (the other guy in my skz bias line, in case i haven't mentioned it). txt is huening kai! i find it hard to believe that he's my age because he looks a lot younger? o.O and he always looks good damn :(( sigh for blackpink it's lisa! i tend to bias the maknaes of yg groups, it's a pattern i've noticed but don't intentionally do!
DON'T WASTE YOUR TEARS OMFG. you can always reach me elsewhere if i like disappear off this blog.

Playlist Feels
Member: Yeonjun
Genre: Slice of life, idk teen romance? chaebol yeonjun? running away from reality?? no trigger warnings, whatsoever :D
Word Count: 2.1k
A/N: I know all the members of txt but i don’t actively stan them like i do with ateez and nct now, but this song really hits different and it’s also the first time i’ve written a ‘playlist feel’ one shot where the member involved is the same person who sang the song attached to the one shot. usually i write the one shot based on both the feel of the song and the member, so hopefully yeonjun suits the vibe of this one shot. i apologise if i butcher it ;_;
you were anxiously biting into the surface of your nail and your finger pads, not bothering about chewing on your nails because yeonjun said it was unhygienic and unsightly. you remember you got mad when he first said it to you, because what business was it of his if you had that habit?
but that was nearly two years ago when the two of you first met. you were working at a branded goods’ store, and yeonjun had waltzed in with his parents wearing what looked like an Armani Exchange blazer over a plain white shirt. His pants were obviously tailored to fit his legs perfectly, and his shoes looked like something only a businessman would wear. you would tell him his outfit looked mismatched, but you were just a mere service staff working in this expensive branded goods’ store.
*flashback
his parents left him alone with you while they shopped for their more mature, adult clothing in the other side of the store. yeonjun was easily a head taller than you, even when you were in low, platform heels you needed to wear for work. he was fitting on a brown blazer, and you stood in the corner, biting at your nails and scanning the fit on him.
“the arms look a little long cause your shoulders are broad for your height, let me--”
“biting your nails are unhygienic and unsightly, hasn’t your manager told you that before?”
you scoff and pull your hand away. you look at him through the mirror, since you were standing behind him. he had this teasing smile on his lips, and his tone strangely wasn’t degrading. he sounded like he was your friend, telling you off about a habit that was indeed, bad.
“i’m gonna go and get you one size larger.”
you return with the same blazer in one size larger, simply handing him the piece of expensive clothing without touching him. he shoots you a look of slight surprise and smirks at you.
“mwo?” you frown at his reaction, watching him pull off the blazer and return it to the hanger.
“most female staff members, especially those around my age, usually offer to help me with clothes fitting.”
you roll your eyes at his statement. “that’s not very professional.”
yeonjun takes a look at himself through the mirror, turning around in a circle as he looks back over his shoulder at the mirror, making sure the back wasn’t too loose. “it’s not.”
you raise both brows and sniffled, bored at the conversation. you leaned against the wall nearby, making sure no superiors were around to see you acting so relaxed around a customer. but you knew yeonjun was watching you carefully in the mirror’s reflection.
rich boy’s surprised that there’s a girl who isn’t interested in him.
you snicker under your breath, trying not to look at him anymore.
yeonjun leaves with his parents, the blazer folded nicely and packed into a box, and you didn’t notice, but yeonjun already had your name and contact taken down from your boss.
*now
“i’m sorry, am i hearing you right?” your blood was boiling, and you wish you could slap the girl standing right in front of you. she was dressed in some strange Louis Vuitton fit, and her hair looked like it took three people to fix.
“you heard me right. you have to break up with yeonjun-sshi because we’re getting engaged in six months.”
how the hell did she even find out?
nevermind.
no point denying it now that she knows.
“i’m pretty fucking sure yeonjun’s got a ton to say about this.” you stand up from the expensive couch, the large living room in the middle of the mansion spanning out so wide, you wondered if yeonjun’s mansion was bigger than this.
“even if he did, i doubt he has a choice,” the girl, who goes to the same private school as yeonjun, had this smug, arrogant grin on her face.
life had a strange way of putting you in places you were meant to be. sometimes you wondered if yeonjun was meant to meet you at the Saint Laurent boutique. you wondered if it yeonjun’s feelings for you were meant to happen, because compared to him, you were nothing but a pauper. you found yourself stuck in a situation where your boyfriend was a chaebol, waiting to inherit whatever riches he was born into, but you were here, facing the girl he was meant to marry in the near future.
“besides, i’ve already told his parents everything about you. about your father being a criminal, about your mother being an ex-drug addict.”
her words sunk into you like knives into your gut and needles into your eyes. of course yeonjun knew you were from a family that god obviously hadn’t spent a lot of time in making, but there was never a way for him to bring it up to his parents. there was never a way you would’ve wanted yeonjun to be the one to defend you, because you knew he would if the conversation ever came up with his parents.
you felt your nose turn sour as you clenched your fists by your side. you could’ve punched this bitch right here and now, but the guards standing around wouldn’t make your situation any easier to get through. you huff from anger, storming past her and leaving the mansion altogether.
yeonjun finally found you sitting in the corner of his barn you managed to sneak into. you tried your hardest not to cry since the moment you left his supposed-fiance’s house two hours ago, but there was just nothing else you could tell yourself that life was going to go your way.
“hey... hey,” he muttered under his breath, his last few steps quickening as he neared you. yeonjun fell to his knees, opening his arms wide and welcoming you into his embrace while you quietly sobbed. this was the first time you openly broke down in his presence.
“what did she say to you?” yeonjun pulled away and cupped your face, wiping your tears away with his thumbs.
“she... she said she told your parents about my family, and... and that you wouldn’t have a choice but to marry her...” you managed to choke out between hiccups, your fingers peeling at each other at the thought of losing the one thing that you were happy with. yeonjun’s face fell to dismay at the new information, leaning back and sitting on his heels while he ran his palm through his hair.
“i’m sorry. i shouldn’t have agreed to being with you, knowing that you had so many things to worry about--” you coughed, looking down and shaking your head so aggressively, the tears flew out and hit the strands of hay on the floor.
“no, don’t apologise. none of this is on you--”
“yeonjun, please. i can’t-- i can’t watch you get married to someone else--”
“then we’ll run away.”
you immediately stopped breathing, your lungs momentarily collapsing and your head snapping up to look at him.
“mwo?” you whisper, afraid that someone would send a bullet through your head for even hearing what he said.
“we’re leaving.” yeonjun says this with the most firm, look of confirmation in his eyes. “i don’t care about the money, i don’t care about whatever i’m meant to inherit, but i was meant to walk into that Saint Laurent boutique store and i was meant to meet you. you are the only thing i care about, and i won’t let anything ruin what we have.”
you swear you could hear your heart shatter at his declaration of love for you, but you couldn’t help but to think about his family. everything that his parents had done, they had done it for him.
“but--”
“no,” yeonjun shakes his head, getting to his feet and pulling you off the ground. “we’re leaving.”
he doesn’t give you much time to process the situation, but he’s got a few staff members to pack his clothes and get it out of the mansion without his parents’ noticing.
the power of being a chaebol.
you were watching blankly, but your heart racing, while yeonjun violently pries off the license plate off the cheapest car in their garage, the few staff members who helped get clothes, belongings and some cash out for him were now looking at him like they had helped a criminal.
“it’s been nice working with you all, and i thank you for your service all these years,” yeonjun gives a deep bow, the staff members awkwardly bowing in response. one of the staff members, who a part-timer and yeonjun’s confidante, stepped up and looked yeonjun in the eye. for a split second, you were worried soobin was going to try and persuade yeonjun not to leave, but you could only look down when you overheard his words.
“i knew you were crazy, but i definitely did not see this coming,” soobin smiles. yeonjun chuckles and bites on his bottom lip, looking back at you with the softest eyes ever.
“you go and live the life you want to live. we both know you didn’t want this life of luxury, so go.”
yeonjun nods subtly before wrapping his arms around soobin and giving him a tight hug.
soobin was the only one of the staff waving you off, the other staff waiting to be reprimanded by his parents for letting their son run away.
“yeonjun... where are we going?” you quietly asked, the air-conditioner making the car colder than outside.
“oh, we’ll worry about that later. but first, we gotta pay someone a visit.”
you found yourself back in the mansion you were in just a couple of hours ago. yeonjun had managed to bypass the security system and break in through the back door because it was the same system he used back at home. yeonjun flashed you a mischievous grin before hurling a vase at the mirror, both items shattering in the process.
something in you clicked, watching yeonjun turn into the person he really is. no more rich people meals, no more blazers and expensive shoes, no more hiding.
you cackled, your high pitched laughter echoing in the halls as the sound of glass and broken pieces made contact with the marble floor. picking up the heaviest statue he could find in the room, he dropped it without hesitation on the glass table in the middle of the living room, only the golden frame of the table remaining.
your eyes sparkled as the reflection of the china and the metal cutlery shone under the light of the kitchen. you pulled out the plates carefully only to throw them across the length of the room at the wall. Like in slow motion, the plate shatters into a million pieces.
back in the living room, he was ripping the pillows up, the feathers coating the marble floor, making it look like a child's playground. he wonders why it takes so much for the house to come alive.
the person that you were both here to piss off was finally awake, wide, angry eyes fixated on them as he grabbed your hand and bowed, like you had just finished a show.
"like what you see?" he snickers, fingers interlocked with yours. The girl standing on the 2nd floor overlooking the living room looked like she had steam escaping through every opening in her face, and the look on her face only added onto the adrenaline in the blood that ran through both your veins.
"maybe you should think twice about doing what you did," he flashes her his most charming smile, the exact same smile that the wretched girl was so desperate to call her own. you didn’t know if she was more angry that you broke into her house and destroyed everything expensive you saw, or that she realised she lost the game she started.
but did you care? no. did yeonjun? no.
you and yeonjun soon found yourselves driving away at top speed in the car, away from her mansion, away from the life he never wanted to live, away from the life you wanted to run away for a long, long time.
tears were gathering in the corners of your eyes as you watched yeonjun laugh and woot out the window of the drivers’ seat. as the car stops at a red light, he turns to you, holding the back of your head and pulls you in, pressing your forehead against his lips as he whispered,
“together forever.”

My Top 19 K-Pop songs of 2019
(No one asked, but I’ll tell you anyway :) )
19. LOL - Taeyeon: I waited so long for Taeyeon’s new solo album to come out because her solo work has always really resonated with me, and I love the vibe she went for for Purpose. This is my favorite song from the album (along with Love You Like Crazy) because I love how soft the “ha, ha, ha” part in the prechorus is before louder, dramatic, sassy chorus comes in. It’s like an evil character’s song in a movie. 18. The Fifth Season (SSFWL) - Oh My Girl: It just sounds so pretty. Oh My Girl always sounds so pretty but something about this title track takes off when that chorus hits and makes you feel like you’re flying away in the true, whimsical, Oh My Girl fashion. They release nothing but good music, always. 17. Valkyrie - ONEUS: My favorite debut this year! Fun fact, Hwanwoong was my original one-pick in Produce 101 Season 2 and I was pissed he got eliminated so early and I was waiting for his debut ever since. Honestly, all of ONEUS’s stuff is pretty solid but this song is my favorite from them and definitely gave them a different sound than a lot of k-pop groups at the moment. Love the dance, love the guitar in the minimalistic part of the chorus into the EDM drop, and love my little man Hwanwoong :) 16. Baby You Are - EXO: This album took so long to come out that a lot of other groups caught my attention during the year and I wasn’t as hyped for their comeback as I usually would be, but immediately on first listen, this was my favorite song. ChanKai leading the chorus *chefs kiss* and I love the groovy vibe they went for and how this album went from intense songs to these lighter songs to the ballads. 15. Fun! - fromis_9: Exactly what you’d expect from the title of the song. They all looked great, sounded great, the choreo is cute, and I adore the spunky sound. The music video is really cheeky too! 14. Chronosaurus - Stray Kids: I was really unsure whether I would like Stray Kids because something about their debut stuff didn’t vibe with me at first but them Miroh came out and I was like oh??? And then I listened to this mini album and I was like OH???? THAT CHORUS! anyway we stan now 13. Dumb - BVNDIT: I was not expecting to like this song! I wasn’t the biggest fan of their debut because I was worried that they were going to have this group do the exact same style as Chungha, and while this comeback still has some of those vibes, I think the edginess of this song made it stand out to me. The choreography is one of my faves this year, simple and elegant at the same time and the girl that starts the second verse (Yiyeon?) has such a stunning vocal tone that really caught my attention. 12. Bing Bing - Red Velvet: not Red Velvet’s strongest year but this song and Parade stood out to me because it has that wacky classic “red” style that I like. The live performance is what pushed this song ahead of Parade for me, because they all look so sassy and confident and their runways walks ended ANTM’s career. 11. Happy Ending (JPN ver.) - Seventeen: is technically not a Korean song, and I know there’s a Korean version to it, but I’ve listened to this way too much for me not to include it. This song and Hit have my favorite choreographies of the year but I prefer how laid-back and acoustic parts of this song are despite how hard this dance goes. 10. Icy - ITZY: I wish I had just an ounce of the confidence these girls exude, especially Yuna when she gets her center time. Everything about this song is so strange yet done so right, and ITZY gets bonus points for being choreographed by my favorite choreographer on Youtube at the moment, Brian Friedman. 9. Lion - (G)I-DLE: I don’t want to like (G)I-DLE, because I hate how their concept is just cultural appropriation and the girls think it’s okay to use other cultures as an aesthetic or a costume they can put on whenever they want, and call it something like “ethnic hip.” But credit where credit is due, this group puts out some of the most creative, best quality music out there right now and Soyeon sure knows how to write a song. The power this song exudes.... amazing. Special shout-out to Blow Your Mind and Put it Straight from the Senorita album as well! 8. Spring Snow - Pentagon: Kino just knows what kind of music I like, and it is unfair that his song in every album is my favorite but here we are. This song just makes me feel endlessly happy, like the ending theme of a coming of age movie? They’re another group that put out nothing but quality music all year, and I also want to mention Sha La La which I feel deserved more love than it ever got. @ cube bring back Yanan please thank you 7. Highway to Heaven (Korean ver.) - NCT: I think I mentioned this in my concert recap but everyone was looking forward to Superhuman when the VCR for this song came out I immediately knew it was my new favorite NCT song. The MVs (for both versions actually!) are so simple and pretty and the song is so hopeful (in Korean......) and Haechan finally got his deserved high note, bless this song 6. We Must Love - ONF: my fatal mistake is not discovering ONF sooner, and it is also the mistake of literally everyone else who has not heard of them. because their viewcount is so LOW The melody in this song is so pretty and so dramatic and I LOVE THEIR MAIN VOCAL??? also this song made me fall in love with Laun literally 2 months before he left but I digress-- 5. LALALAY - Sunmi: I got so excited about this song that I learned the dance within the first week and that’s dedication right there. I love a good Lia Kim choreo, and I love the attitude and the energy Sunmi exuded. Also the stage outfits and makeup 11/10. 4. Devil - CLC: I want to put every song CLC put out this year on this list but I have no space so I picked my favorite. While I like CLC when they decide to go badass, I have a soft spot in my heart for songs like Pepe and No Oh Oh so having them give us that retro sound again was really refreshing. Sorn got lines! This was also another song I immediately learned the dance to. This was their BEST year by far and I’m looking forward to their album (hopefully, I’m tired of minis and singles) 3. You Calling My Name - GOT7: In all honesty, I haven’t fully liked a GOT7 comeback since 2015 (If You Do <3) which I feel awful about because they were one of the first songs I got into when I started liking k-pop that year. I kept up with their variety work and still liked the members and was waiting for another title track to catch my attention again and this one punched me in the face. I’ve listened to this song every day since it came out. Styling, on point, production, on point, and especially the CHOREO is on point. also jinyoung.....is very powerful..... 2. Rooftop - N.flying: I’M SO HAPPY FOR THEM!! I grew really attached to this group after subscribing to Jaehyun and Hun’s youtube channel (2idiots, best content out there lol) and I’ve been waiting for their big break because they’re all so nice and work so hard and it finally came! It amazes me how big this song got in Korea, and it’s so refreshing to hear. Hweseung’s vocals, ugghhhhh <3 1. DAY6′s entire discography Wanna Go Back - DAY6: wow I’m incredibly predictable aren’t I. I’ve been incredibly stressed with studying this year, and most kpop is too distracting for me to listen to while doing school work, but DAY6′s music has been really comforting and helping me to stay focused, which makes them my most listened to artist of the year. I struggled to pick a favorite song because they all are, but I settled on Wanna Go Back because it’s one of the only songs I know of that have made me cry on first listen. The lyrics hit too close to home, and it’s really meaningful to me that they put into words so eloquently.
Honorable mentions - %% - APINK, Hala Hala - ATEEZ, Satellite - LOONA, Colors - LOONA, Violeta - IZ*ONE, Mikrokosmos - BTS, Boy With Luv - BTS, Bloom Bloom - The Boyz, Picky Picky - Weki Meki, Movie Star (and the entire album that came with it) - CIX, 119 - NCT Dream, Bbyong! - Saturday, Blueming - IU, What Are You Waiting For - Anda, Get Loud -TWICE, Fancy - TWICE, Love Foolish - TWICE, Breakthrough (JPN ver.) -TWICE
In general, while I don’t think this is musically the strongest year for kpop, I feel like a lot of groups released music that was more true to their authentic selves and a lot of the songs that stood out to me are songs that just make me happy. As someone who loves kpop dances, the choreo this year was also impeccable. Here’s to more great music to come, and I hope everyone takes care of themselves into the new year!
