A very self indulgent Billford playlist!

Self indulgent, because this music does not appeal to the masses at all; these songs are limited to the stuff I listen to. So I’m being VERY transparent about my embarrassing taste in music right now! Plus, NOBODY ASKED FOR THIS!!! But I hope some of these resonate with you. This is a little collection I’ve formed in my phone notes since I got into this ship a couple weeks ago.

Not a fancy spotify playlist, it’s just links to the music on youtube.

SO MUCH of their music is enemies/lovers perfection. I’ve thought about so many *killing you but also making out with you* pairings to this shit, because these songs were like, DESIGNED to be recycled for any and all love hate relationships, and still hit insanely hard EVERY TIME. So now that you have these songs under your belt, you have them FOREVER. You’re welcome. I haven’t even listened to all their music, I’m sure there’s more songs for this category that I simply haven’t discovered.

My standards were kinda high for making this list. But every song is about your ship when you’re insane, right??? So these are the maybe’s. One’s I’ve thought about billford to, but maybe the lyrics don’t totally align.

Propane Nightmares - Pendulum

This one WAS gonna go in the maybe’s, but I convinced myself otherwise after listening to it eighty more times, and now it’s up here on top. And fuck it, this is the *self indulgent* billford playlist, so I do what I want. I go into a fucking trance when I listen to this song, so I can’t really explain 110% why this is a billford song to me, but I’ll try.  Apparently, this song is about the heavens gate cult. So not enemies/lovers angst. But looking at the lyrics, you could interpret it as giving yourself to something greater, and coming to the realization that what you pledged yourself to is actually a very bad thing which will ultimately destroy you. (also, you can’t deny that there was some cult like manipulation happening with Bill and Ford. Sense of purpose and friendship.) Definitely billford-y when you consider Fords commitment to bill. And I’ll admit, when I listen to it, there is some pov switching. Because the “trail of fire”,  “we will be as one”, and “bring it on home” is VERY reminiscent of bill executing weirdmageddon. So overall, my interpretation of this song is Ford feeling torn about bill, feeling regret, feeling scared, and Bill of course, just wanting to bring the dimensions together. “BRING IT ON HOME!!!!”  Or I just like the song.

Painkiller - The Queenstons

…NEEDS NO EXPLANATION DSKFDSKJHF It’s similar to the above, just more… scary imo. Violent. Definitely bill being a little psycho. I really love this song. It’s very recyclable too. You have it for any toxic ship now. 

9V - The Queenstons

One of my favorite Lapfox/Halley Labs songs… I’m gonna give you the lyrics, it’s a bit hard to understand without them. In my eyes, it’s about betraying Ford. Also these vocals (and other music by this artist) works so well for bill because of the synthesized voice. 

LoveBOMB - S3RL

This is a new S3RL song. This song sounds like a tantrum, and I really liked it when I first heard it, but it didn't fit anything I was into at the time. Luckily, bill suffered a horrible breakup, and now this song has it’s meaning.

I’ve listened to this one a LOT before this, and I surprised myself with how much it aligns with bill, specifically, him tricking Ford.

This one has NO LYRICS, but it has this buildup that sounds really cool, and it has an abrupt decrescendo. Reminds me of their "friendship" and how it all came crashing down.

Hmmmmm, I just like Dorian. But the idolization thing works for obvious reasons.

"You can stop laughing now." Atsumu huffs, cheeks puffed and tinted red with embarrassment.

You chortle some more at that, stomach already hurting with the way you were cackling moments ago. "You're a himbo, aren't you?" You ask midst snorts.

"A what?" He looks at you, like he's seriously offended.

"A himbo."

"Fuck, no." He scoffs, looking away. "It was just a slip of the tongue!"

You giggle, "Slip of the tongue doesn't explain you ordering chicken at Starbucks." It's true, Miya Atsumu, the blind date Rintaro set you up with is looking to seem a lot lot more interesting than you thought he would.

Atsumu takes a long sip of his drink, dramatically glaring at you. "Ya wanna know my first impression of ya?"

"Mhm," you nod, encouraging him to say it.

"Ya seem like a bully."

That makes you grin.

His glare intensifies at that. "Knew it. Ya like pulling legs, dontcha?"

"Only the legs of beach blond himbos." You send him a wink, truly enjoying teasing him.

"Hmpf. Such a shame yer a bully despite that pretty face." What he says dawns on him one second later. And it's comically obvious with the way he buries his face in his arms.

Oh you wouldn't let this slide in a million lives, "I'm pretty?" You tease.

"Yes." He huffs, "And you know it."

The way he says it so indignantly like a little boy makes you giggle even more. "Well, you're pretty too!" you state, sending him another wink.

Atsumu's ears turn red, "You could have said I'm handsome," he mutters, turning his gaze to the side.

"Mhmm, but I don't want to inflate your ego." you giggle, "You're adorable though, I'll give you that." It's good to give leeway to the poor guy now and then.

"Adorable?" he scoffs, "Don't make me laugh, I'm a beast in bed!" his chest puffs at his claim.

You have to bite your lips to hold back your laughter. How embarrassing is this man. "Bet you will moan if I were to call you a princess."

"What—" he chokes on his drink, face turning bright red as he hits his chest to alleviate the pain of the drink flowing into the wrong pipe. "You— you piece of shit." he screeches. "I'll definitely show you who will moan out loud."

You guffaw. This man tickled all your right spots. And you had a feeling he was a keeper. So why not give this blind date a second chance unlike your other blind dates?

Safe to say you never had another romantic interest for the rest of your life.

otps.      >  so sanji is my favorite straw hat. i could probably go on for days about him , if given the chance. he was my favorite character from the start and once i got to whole cake it just sealed the deal. i think when i first got into op way back when i enjoyed him but now i have Thoughts. with that being said… it’s only been after re-starting it / reading it that i’ve started to ship him with others.  with all that out of the way… i’m not going to lie , i post cringe but i enjoy zoro and sanji together. ( and honestly lil baby shout - out to a friend who keeps letting me send memes about them and has talked to me about them cuz that’s where half the fun of shipping them is ).  but they check a lot off my list of things i enjoy in ships and once i started to ship them romantically i tripped and fell down that hole so quick.   ( i may… even have a pinterest for them, tho it’s small )     >  another ship that i think could have been interesting is ace and sanji , i’ve read one fic on them from some fanart i saw and thought it was pretty cute.

otps.          >  okay. before i say anything let me just preface this with it started out seeing fanart and i thought about it more and it’s a very self indulgent ship mainly because it’s one of those they don’t really interact ships but.. i enjoy a nice little smodile occasionally.      >  other than that i’m super into dazodile. daz is the only character that crocodile has gone out of his way to keep around and daz’s loyalty to croc  ( facing 3 difficult scenarios with him ) is something i dig. considering that crocodile doesn’t trust easy or. at all. and sees most people as someone to just use for his own gain , daz is someone who has actively become his own in croc’s eyes.     > and while i haven’t actively explored it , doffadile (??) is pretty interesting to me, it’s also hilarious. 

notps.          >  only because of personal headcanons i have regarding crocodile i cannot CANNOT do whitebeard crocodile. i’m also not a fan of him and robin being shipped together. 

LUFFY . 

otps.       >  so , luffy is a bit difficult because in general i don’t really ship him with anyone but this is because of the age difference between myself and luffy so i don’t really go out to find ships but there are some i do find cute when i happen to see them cross my tl on tw !  i’m very much into the dynamic of just how deeply zoro understands luffy and it’s always interesting to read people’s dissection of it.  so i guess zo /// lu ?  but their dynamic. honestly just shipping luffy with anyone is… he just cares about treasure, beetles, meat and adventure.  

notps.       >  OBVIOUSLY ace or sabo. like come on man, they’re brothers. they have a family bond. they SAY IT in canon so there’s no way you can ignore that either.. it’s gross.     >  i’m also not a fan of nami shipped with luffy but that’s my own personal bias again. nami reads lesbian to me and it seems like luffy and her have a brother / sister bond.      >  and last but not least katakuri… like. BRUH THAT’S A FULL ADULT. it’s weird stop it???? i’ll make you step on legos for life.
