Ford is currently taking a break from the poll while the other two finalists are determined. So I wont know what to draw until ford is back in his own race. But I like to think ford was given a key to the hotel attached to the convention hall, and that's where he's spending his break. (Hes like "why TF did you not give me this earlier." They probably had him sleeping on a cot or something next to his little director's chair LOL) But of course bill followed his ass. Ford goes to the sauna next to the pool and he shows up. I'm so excited to share this drawing!! Originally, I had drawn this doodle last year, and I've always wanted to come back to it, make it into something better. And so, THIS IMAGE was born in my mind. This is a visual I've had stuck in my head for MONTHS and I'm so glad I finally got it out of there. 😭

It wasn't easy. I knew I wanted to make this a digital drawing, because I felt like the medium would lend nicely to an airy, soft vibe, as opposed to the pencil texture that's usually in my work. But I'm NOT used to digital art, especially when making full illustrations where you're aiming for perfection. I'm pretty sure this is the longest amount of time I've ever spent on a digital drawing, and "trusting the process" was hard because it's not a process I'm used to. But a week and 172 layers later, I'm happy with it! It turned out SO gaudy, SO gratuitous in it's mushy colorful-ness. Rainbows and sparkles and shit everywhere. Truly the gayest karaoke night ever.

(People on the patreon discord liked the updates I shared, and the possibility of doing a companion piece came up - Bills pov. So that's a potential goodie on the horizon!)

Dude, I'm flying by the seat of my pants on this thing! :'D I thought mabel being there would be funny, and the next time I started drawing, I thought dipper being ignorant would be funny.

But if ford makes it to the finals, I might have dipper show up unannounced, nauseous from dimensional travel. All disoriented with a neck pillow, and an eye mask on his head, holding a doggy bag. Like "great uncle ford? wtf is this??"

But that's if he wins this one of course :)

I should probably say while I'm thinking about it -

Although our goal is to get ford pregnant, this doesn't mean that young ford is necessarily right, at least not completely. He's more like the flip opposite to old ford. He's very ignorant and naive to pregnancy and all it's horrors, so he's romanticizing the hell out of it.

I'm battling time now, so I ended with bill, and a quick transition into the next part. But truth be told, my original ending to that was going to be ford strangling himself SDJFDHLDFK

80s ford being in the mpreg void just has me thinking about him struggling to do his job (convince older ford to get pregnant) because hes too focused on bill being in the physical plane and trying to cozy up to him. bill like "you see this, sixer, THIS is how you should be acting!" 80s ford all worried about bills scar like who did this to you my muse and hes like your shithead brother :/

And it's funny you mentioned ford getting distracted, because I pictured it the other way around, with bill noticing him and trying to live out a slice of the Good Ol' Days. Like, the simulated 80s ford is wandering around, and bill is all "HEY THERE BIG BOY 👁️" "my muse!!! 🥺" shenanigans ensue.
