Ida is @marune2's oc.
..........
Nacht: (walks into the bedroom with a smug grin on his face) I've figured it out. Josele: Figured what out? Nacht: How to put an end to Ida's coffee addiction! Josele: Right... Next thing you'll tell me is that you've solved for pi. Nacht: I'm serious. It's a simple plan really. We just need to make coffee taste so terrible that Ida will never want to drink it again. Josele: And how do you plan on doing that? ... The next day Finral: Here's your morning cup. Ida: (takes the mug) Thanks. (sniffs it coffee) That's... This is the usual blend, right? Finral: Uh, no. Nacht had the coffee brewed by the time I got to the kitchen. Ida: (raises an eyebrow) Funny, he usually leaves it to you or Josy. Finral: He said he was trying out a new coffee blend. Ida: I see... (sips coffee) Oogh. (grimaces) Hmm. (sips again) The fuck? (keeps sipping) He extracted the coffee waaaaay too long! But... (keeps drinking) Not so bad the more I drink it. Finral: (takes a sip of his coffee and immediately spits it out) AAAAHHHH! IT'S HORRIBLE! Josele and Nacht: (watch from afar) Josele: What did you do to the coffee? Nacht: I added Bitrex to it. Josele: Isn’t that what’s used in antifreeze and shampoo so people don’t eat them? Nacht: Yes, exactly! Josele: ... She’s still drinking the coffee! Nacht: Oh shit! (runs over) IDA STOOOOP!

Josele: Nope, losing one fiancé was more than enough trauma for me 😅.

Meet the crew of my main webcomic project !
The crew of a flying ship, and dragon hunters ... More info about them under the cut ! (more stuff is tagged as oc:dragon hunter on my blog if you want to check it out)
Eve of House Albret: the main character, whose purpose is to seek out the voices in the sky she hears since childhood.
Lambert of House Dramm: The captain of the ship, he is an ancient royal scientist who figured out how to harness dragon magic.
Faust Vanin: Right and of Lambert (and . ..best friend . .. ), he takes care of accounting stuff.
Louve: A mysterious knight. They're the one who give the killing blow to their prey. They're mute and use LSF. (french sign language)
Hildegarde de Hautecoure (aka Ida): The magician of the ship. She has a tragic past and was welcomed in the crew in spite of it. She is the only one close to Louve, who was the one who brought her on the ship.
Blanche: She is the boat mechanic. Genius in her domain, she is the successor of Lambert.
Mahaut: The tracker of the crew. Being a glouton - a creature who eats magic - she is very sensitive to the magic that come from dragons.
Varseiss: A dragon. He is the mount of Louve. What is a dragon doing on a dragon hunting crew? Well he is a magic addict and this is the way to sate his appetite.

A Light in the Clouds
Tumblr media
14-1/2 months ago, Hurricane Ida flooded my basement apartment, and uprooted my family. The brony community came to my aid in a truly inspiring and deeply moving way. For that, I will always be grateful. You helped me get back on my feet.
It was also in that period in my life that My Little Pony: A New Generation dropped.
I'll never forget it. It was 3:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. Just a few days before I was to return to work. (I was fortunate enough to be able to take an unpaid leave so that I could excavate debris, and salvage what little I could). Technically, I didn't have to get up in the morning, but I was sleeping on a gym mat in my brother-in-law's home office, (because there was literally nowhere else for me to go). And by 7am, my sleep was destined to be interrupted each morning by other members of my family's morning routine preparing for work.
But I fired up Netflix anyway. Just to get a little taste.
I didn't expect much of Generation 5, to be honest. I went into it knowing that Friendship is Magic was impossible to live up to. I tried with all of my might not to get my hopes too high.
I remember laying there, watching the first 15 minutes, knowing that I had little time left before I had to get to sleep. I remember the exhilaration. The surprise. It was such a joy to hear the voices of the Mane Six again.
That was the absolute last thing that I expected, and I knew in that moment, that, whatever direction A New Generation took, it was going to be filled with love for the source material. An homage to everything that made Friendship is Magic wonderful.
There was such hope in that initial conversation between Argyle and filly Sunny. Such love. In that moment, I wept.
Now, I didn't get to finish the movie that night. I had no choice. I ended up watching the whole thing a few days later in my car in the parking lot of the laundromat where I was still salvaging mold-infested clothes.
I shared it with my friend who I'd met through the fandom back in 2011.
Months later, I shared the movie with my grown daughter - who had long ago quit MLP entirely. And though I only intended to show her the opening, she got completely sucked into the story, and we ended up watching the entire movie together.
Sometimes a movie is special because of the people you share it with - because of the time in your life it brought you comfort. A New Generation was not a perfect film, (and Make Your Mark even less so), but in a way, I also shared it with all of you.
The fandom has always been a deeply immersive social experience. I think that's the thing a lot of people tend to forget.
So many fandoms are drowned in cries of remakes and reboots and sequels and prequels "ruining our childhood." And while I wholeheartedly agree that franchise films have gotten out of control, I do want to point out that it's impossible for a bad movie to ruin your childhood. It's impossible for a bad TV show to ruin your childhood.
Corporate intellectual properties really go out of their way to imprint brand loyalty on young minds. It's an insidious and sleazy process, to be honest.
But no matter how powerful a story may have been for you - or how immersive a fantasy universe - it's the people we share that enthusiasm with that ultimately give that experience deeper meaning.
We, as human beings, generally define ourselves by our social relations. For us, love of MLP is a love of Equestria itself. And our love of Equestria has been colored by a social experience of absolutely insane memes, media, music, stories, and art.
Even Lauren Faust herself said that, when she created MLP:FiM, and added humor and storylines that might appeal to adults as well as children, it was her hope that parents and kids might enjoy watching it together.
I've enjoyed watching MLP together with all of you. And I'll never forget the magic I felt, lying on a gym mat at 3am - the joy of having something new to talk about once again. Something to experience. Something to share.

disclaimer:  while I do not have a canon faust, I am also not actively looking for one. not just because the chances of finding one in the rpc is slim ( hell  -- finding 16th century muses set in germany is like finding the arc of the covenant at this point so I suspect I will get to write Gretchen about as often as I willingly go clothes shopping )  ... so not only that!  but also because I have a particular view of him, and their relationship, that would likely not jive with any interpretations I do manage to find. however I am always willing to be proven wrong & if some one had the mad desire to make a faust to suffer with me in 16th century obscure media I welcome the attempt. hit me up. PHYSICAL
Body: 5'1" (155 cm). Doll like, with arms and torso that gives to  the touch. Her hands are covered in calluses from house labor assisting her aging mother while Valentin is away. Still there is something fragile to her, thin & wraith like, as if she could disappear in an instant. Face: Round, young, with wide eyes and long lashes. Her mouth is heavily bowed & small with bright coral lips, to match a small nose & low cheeks. Her skin is free of pocks thanks to her summers spent milking her uncle’s cows and she takes great pride in the statuesque qualities she has heard people praise such as her long neck & strong jaw. Hair: Long & with a natural wave, it is a strawberry blonde in the  winter which lightens to a honey blonde in summer sun. Often kept in simple braids beneath her hair covering at home Gretchen is especially vain about her locks, a fact her mother has chided her for as she is known to spend hours on it’s brushing & care. Wardrobe: a working girl in a home she has had to run since a young age Gretchen’s wardrobe is deeply practical, with few extravagances save her church best. a lover of embroidery she has worked on several wedding dresses for her friends, though her mother has forbade her to attend any weddings to make sure her daughter is not taken advantage of by a suitor.  still her embroidery has worked well to keep the family afloat between Valentin’s military pay & has granted her a few embellishments to catch the light amongst the church candelabras.
HISTORY
Born in Staufen she expected her life to always be the same. She would grow up, find a nice boy, marry him, have children, and die. Being buried in the same town in which she had always lived. But it seemed life had made a few change of plans. While she would never leave Staufen, the boy she would meet would not be a boy but a man. And while she would know his touch they would never marry. And while she would have a child, he would not live as she drowned him to save him. And while she would die - it would be very young.
These are the events of Goethe’s Faust. Where a young girl grows up with a dream in her heart of saving some one as she never managed to save her baby sister. Where she would fall in love with a man who wanted nothing more than Death, and when it proved illusive took power instead.  Where a young girl would accidentally kill her mother, and drown her baby, while her lover would kill her brother in the street without her ever knowing.
Where she would be abandoned to die, only to be lifted to heaven.  Where she would save a man’s soul for the promise of trying, knowing that some darkness can never be cast away but it can become holy in it’s own right And where a serpent in the shape of a girl would win a bet for impossible deities before disappearing back into the ether from whence she came.

..........
Weddings, a celebration of love and the union that was called marriage. There was always a warmth and brightness to such an occasion.
It was especially true in the case of the wedding Nacht currently attended, that of the union between Solara Equinox and Fuegoleon Vermillion. It could’ve been said that their wedding was more than their marriage. It was a symbol of victory over the devils. A sign of new beginnings for Clover and Thea. The grand fulfillment of hopes and dreams.
But, to the happy couple, it was simply their wedding. As it should’ve been.
The invitation to the wedding for Nacht and Josele came as a surprise. Nacht wondered if it was a formality on account of the events in Spade. But when Josele said that they’d be supporting the couple as friends, Nacht let go of his doubts and agreed to the notion.
Nacht watched the ceremony. Even with the distance between himself in the crowd of guests and the couple at the altar, Nacht saw with perfect clarity the joy and love Fuegoleon and Solara felt. Because they were getting married. It truly was a beautiful, special day.
And all of a sudden, Nacht’s chest felt tight.
He didn’t dare look in her direction but Nacht became all the more aware of Josele’s presence right next to him…
During the reception, Nacht shied away from others. He needed to be alone. To work through the thoughts swirling like a storm in his mind. And to keep his dour mood from the joyful atmosphere everyone else enjoyed.
Marriage… And Josele…
Once upon a time, Josele and Morgen intended to intertwine their lives as one. To wed and live happily ever after would’ve been one of their greatest joys, Nacht was sure. But Morgen died. And the ending that should’ve been was torn from existence.
Now, Nacht was the one to hold Josele’s hand and to whisper his adoration to her. They were boyfriend and girlfriend. But not a wedded couple. Because…
Was he deserving of a bond so sacred as marriage?
Could Nacht provide Josele with the happiness and stability necessary for a union?
Did Josele even want to get married? If she didn’t have that closure with Morgen, was it okay for Nacht to take the title of her husband?
And if they had children, what if Nacht failed as a father?
There was no way Nacht could ask Josele to marry him in his current state.
Nacht wanted to love Josele. He wished to give her every kind of joy. Despite his inadequate self, he wanted more for Josele.
He raised his eyes and spied Josele on the other side of the room, peacefully chatting away with the day’s bride and a circle of friends. Josele smiled and lived with an open heart. She made the most of her life after all the pain she suffered. Her life wasn’t perfect but it was one that made Josele happy.
And that life included Nacht. He made her happy.
If I reached out to Josele, Nacht thought while looking at his palm. A smile crossed his face. She would surely take my hand.
Nacht had his resolve.
When Josele placed herself in the back of the crowd for the bouquet toss, Nacht decided that was the moment to approach. He rose up from the shadows beside Josele.
“Josele?” Nacht extended his hand toward her. “I’ve been thinking abou—” Suddenly, he felt a weight. “Hm?”
In his hands was Solara’s bouquet.
There was a shout for a retoss only for Yami to insist that Nacht keep the bouquet. It was Solara’s gentle coaxing that got the crowd to leave things as they were and disperse. A few amongst the women muttered and grumbled but no one made a scene of themselves.
Nacht watched Solara as she left her position at the front for elsewhere, likely to be with Fuegoleon. She was a relaxed and thoughtful person to be sure, Nacht thought while mentally thanking her.
“Good catch,” Josele remarked with a teasing smile and put a hand on Nacht’s arm.
“I… suppose…” Nacht stared at the bouquet, at the beautiful bloom and their loving arrangement. “Actually I…” His heart started to race. But he pushed the words out, “was thinking about something like this…”
“For what?” Josele asked with a giggle. Her head tilted to the side, giving away her slight confusion.
Nacht glanced around them. The people. Too many eyes and ears.
Josele, seeing Nacht’s watchful gaze and sensing his hesitation, asked, “You were saying something?”
“Yes…”
Nacht took another glance around the room. There were a couple of dirty looks from some women, but overall, he and Josele were being overlooked. Nacht gripped the bouquet in one hand and took Josele’s in his other, then guided her out onto the balcony.
Nacht closed the balcony door behind him and even set up Shadow Veil to further hide himself and Josele.
“So what’s on your mind?” Josele asked as the two of them took a few more steps away from the door.
“I have a question for you,” Nacht stated without hesitation. He took Josele’s hand once more then bent down on one knee. Josele’s eyes went wide.
“Josele, for as long as we’ve known each other, I’ve done a poor job in showing my love for you. I hid my feelings from you, tried to avoid them for years, and dragged my feet even when we became a couple. All because I felt unworthy of you. But I’ve realized that I was being a fool. You’ve shown love and patience, granted me forgiveness, and taught me how to heal.”
Nacht felt himself choke up and tear up. He kept his eyes on Josele, who looked to be close to tears too, and tightened his grip on her hand to ground himself.
“Everything that you are, everything you’ve given me, I love it all. I want to declare that with confidence and clarity.”
Nacht raised the bouquet in his other hand, offering it in place of a ring.
“And so I ask you, my darling star, will you marry me?”
Josele seemed to glow as she beamed at Nacht and whispered ever so sweetly, “Yes, I will.”
.....
Knk knk knk.
“Enter right in, please!” a cheery voice called to Nacht.
Nacht stepped into the room. Candles set up at various points throughout the room dimly lit the space. Heinrich sat in an armchair with a book in one hand, a pen in the other, and a notepad on his lap.
“Good afternoon, Grandson,” Heinrich greeted with a smile and wave.
“Yes, hello… G-grandfather…” The familiar word felt strange on Nacht’s tongue but it would’ve also felt awkward to deny his and Heinrich’s connection. “Are you busy with something?”
Heinrich chuckled, “I am familiarizing myself with modern medicine practices, that is all. Time and knowledge certainly has changed.”
“I see…”
“Now, what is the nature of your visitation, child?” Heinrich set aside his book and notes to his desk.
Nacht glanced back at the door.
“I… Have a favor to ask,” Nacht muttered, feeling his heart shake. “I know that there’s still much that you and I have to learn about each other but this is a matter of the family and…”
“If it concerns the family’s history, I fear I cannot be of aid,” Heinrich remarked with a serious look. “I started the Faust tradition of devil worship but I had no say in its direction, as I was locked in the Underworld.”
“Wha—? No no no!” Nacht exclaimed and waved his arms. He pinched the bridge of his nose. “It’s not…” He shook his head then looked at Heinrich again. “It’s not about that.”
Heinrich quirked a brow upwards.
“Josele and I… plan on getting married,” Nacht stated simply. “And we would be honored if you could bear witness.”
Silently, Heinrich’s eyes widened and his lips parted in a look of surprise. After a moment, Heinrich smiled in a way tinged by sadness.
“You know, I never got a chance to see my son grow and marry,” Heinrich whispered, his voice soft and wistful. He rose from his seat and approached Nacht with a hug. “It’s not the same but… I’d love to attend.”
“Grandfather…” Nacht hesitated before returning the gesture. “… Thank you.”
.....
“Stupid weeds,” Ida hissed as she used her magic to dig into the garden’s soil. Charmy’s vegetable garden had been taken over by dandelions and it had been left to Ida and Josele to remove them. “Why are the roots so deep?!”
“Because the plant doesn’t want to move,” Josele answered while she added another fully uprooted plant to her bucket. “Just keep at it. We’ll have nice dandelion greens to eat later once we’re done.”
Ida shook her head at Josele and said, “I’m not eating weeds, Josy.” She maintained her magic only to pause when Josele crouched beside her. “Hm? Am I doing it wrong?”
“No, no,” Josele said quietly. “Just keep going. I wanna say something.” Ida nodded and let Josele continue. “I remember when Morgen and I were engaged. You were so excited, going on and on about how I was gonna be your big sister.”
Ida flushed. Josele was the closest thing she had to a sister, or even a mother at times. Even before the engagement, Ida called her “big sister,” to Josele’s embarrassment. And when it was so close to becoming real, Josele officially being her sister-in-law, of course Ida was happy. She practically clung to Josele whenever she wasn’t with Morgen.
“L-look, I was a kid…”
“It was cute,” Josele assured as she put a hand on Ida’s shoulder. “And I hope you’re just as excited this time. Only now, I’m going to marry Nacht.”
“Huh?!” Ida snapped her head in Josele’s direction. “Holy shit! You and Nacht—! Did he finally get a fucking clue?!”
“Mhm! Nacht proposed.” Josele then put a finger to her lips and whispered, “But we need to keep it secret. For now, it’ll just be a family affair, okay?”
Ida rolled her eyes but nodded regardless. With a smile, Josele went back to digging up weeds elsewhere. By gods, it’s really happening… Ida glanced over her shoulder. You sure kept me waiting, Josy. Smiling to herself, she got back to work. But I guess Nacht made you wait too.
.....
In the quiet of a large study, Queen Discordia of Lumi Kingdom wrote her signature on another document. Bureaucracy wasn’t fun but it was what she signed up for when she married Moros.
It could be worse, Discordia thought to herself while setting aside her quill. At least I have company these days. She looked to her right and smiled at Harmonia, her daughter, sitting in a high chair and clinging to a small plush. “Hello, little angel.”
“Ma!” Harmonia babbled and giggled.
Discordia laughed then poked Harmonia’s cheek. The princess laughed more. The servants could’ve watched Harmonia, but Discordia preferred having her baby close to her. Because it meant she could have moments like that with her daughter.
All of a sudden, Discordia sensed negative mana in the room. A devil’s presence.
Discordia stood and picked up Harmonia. She forged a knife from her Blood Magic as her gaze flicked across the room, searching for where the intruder would appear. Her eyes fell to the floor, to her shadow at her feet. Discordia gripped her blood knife more tightly.
She was no fighter but if she needed to—
Gimodelo’s round head popped out.
“Her Gracious Majesty Discordia!” the devil exclaimed as he floated up. “I bring to you a letter of great importance from Master Nacht!” He held out an envelope.
Discordia, after dismissing her spell and setting Harmonia down, took the letter. Even after they reconnected, Nacht didn’t contact her often. And now a letter… What did Nacht have to tell her that he couldn’t simply travel over to say himself or have his devil explain directly?
[Dear Discordia,]
[Greetings to you, Moros, and Harmonia. I hope all is well and I presume as such given yours and the king’s active role in Spade’s reconstruction. Thank you once again for—]
“Oh by the gods Nacht, get to the point!” Discordia groaned. Shaking her head, she skimmed the letter until she stepped on the word “invite.” She went to the start of that particular sentence.
[I understand that, as Queen and a mother, you are busy but I wish to invite you to Clover for a special occasion: mine and Josele’s wedding. It’ll be small, only the signing of legal papers and a dinner thereafter, but it’s still our wedding. I can arrange to transport you so you don’t need to be away from Lumi longer than necessary. Please answer promptly as the date of the union is in two week’s time. Whether or not you can attend, it fills me with joy to tell you this news.]
[Sincerely, Nacht]
Discordia blinked. She read the letter. Blinked again. Read again.
“If you need time to consi—Eep!” Gimodelo yelped when Discordia grabbed his body out of the air. “Your Graci—”
“Tell my cousin I have every intention of attending,” she stated, enunciating each syllable with purpose. “Would you please?”
“Y-yes, your Majesty!”
Discordia released Gimodelo and the little devil dove headfirst into her shadow.
“Nacht and Josele…” Discordia looked out the window at Lumi’s gloomy sky. “Morgen… You’re happy for them, yes? I’m sure you are but… You’re probably a little jealous too.”
She imagined the look on Morgen’s face, a wide grin where he closed his eyes to hide the tears in his eyes. Discordia shook away the thought. It didn’t matter. Josele and Morgen were married in spirit as far as anyone was concerned. And now, it was Nacht and Josele’s turn to be united.
“A wedding, hm?” Discordia turned to Harmonia, who cooed and reached for her. “Looks like we’ll need to get you a new dress!”
.....
The special day was soon at hand.
Josele received a communication from the Crimson Lion Kings’ base and she hurried there. When she arrived, Solara wasn’t the only one waiting for her but Fuegoleon as well. Josele didn’t say anything but there was confusion on her face as she approached.
“I can’t keep a secret from my husband,” Solara sheepishly explained.
Josele gave a faint “Ah, okay” before accepting the parcel Solara had for her. She turned to Fuegoleon. “Thank you again for the invitation. I hope you two are making each other happy.”
“We are indeed,” Fuegoleon answered, smiling. “You and Nacht, we wish you well also.”
“May the fates be kind to you both,” said Solara.
The women shared a quick hug. Fuegoleon saw Josele off with a firm handshake. As Fuegoleon and Solara watched Josele leave, Solara glanced at her husband.
“Is something the matter?”
“… I never expected to start a friendship with her after…” He didn’t finish his sentence, as there was no need. “But I suppose we can never truly expect what bonds will form between people.”
“It certainly seems to be the case.” Solara bumped Fuegoleon with her shoulder. “Next thing you know, our child will be courting theirs.”
Wife and husband shared a laugh as they returned inside.
.....
Acylla whistled when she saw the final product as Nacht displayed it to her.
I might go into the jewelry business if I ever retire from the Bulls, Acylla mused. Then, she said, “Looks like you got them straight from the night sky, dang!”
“Thanks in great part to you,” Nacht stated with an uncharacteristically warm grin.
“Oh! Well, you know…” Acylla flicked some hair over her shoulder and smirked. “It’s for Jojo after all.” She waited for a second. “Right, you’re getting married too.”
Nacht snorted, “Ah, thank you for reminding me. I was wondering why I’d gotten these in the first place.” He closed the box and stored it away in his shadow.
Fighting back her laughter, Acylla smacked Nacht’s arm.
“If you joked like that more, the rest of the squad would like you too!” Acylla then placed her hand on Nacht’s shoulder. “Be good to Josele, okay?”
“Wha—? But aren’t I—?”
“Be better then. Wait no!” Acylla jabbed Nacht’s chest with a single finger. “You need to be the best to Jojo! Got that?”
Nacht stared at Acylla for a moment. She stared him in the eyes with a serious look, but he didn’t feel any danger from her. With a warm sensation in his chest, Nacht pulled Acylla into a hug.
“Got it.”
.....
Josele stood in the foyer of Faust Manor with Ida and Heinrich. The only people missing were Nacht and Discordia, as the Shadow Mage had left to retrieve his cousin for the ceremony.
“How does it feel to finally become ‘Mrs. Josele Faust’?” Ida asked while patting her soon-to-be sister-in-law’s shoulder.
“I don’t think I can wait much longer,” Josele answered. “Not after having to wait more than ten years…”
“Shouldn’t be much longer now,” Heinriched whispered, smiling casually.
Barely second after Heinrich had spoken, Nacht and Discordia rose from the shadows. Nacht carried something over his shoulder while Discordia held up Harmonia.
“You made it!” Josele exclaimed and approached Discordia. The women embraced each other, mindful of Harmonia between them. “And it’s good to see—Oh gosh!” Josele squealed while shaking Harmonia’s hands. “Don’t you look precious!”
Discordia beamed as Josele fawned over Harmonia in her frilly, blush pink dress and matching headband.
“Well we couldn’t come to a wedding underdressed,” Discordia remarked and adjusted her hold on Harmonia. “Speaking of…” She gave Josele a once over, finally noticing that Josele was in her regular attire, squad robe included. “Will you need help with your dress?”
“Oh.” Josele gave a half-hearted laugh. “Actually, Nacht and I weren’t dressing up. Since there’s no fancy ceremony…”
Slack-jawed, Discordia looked at Ida and Heinrich, both of whom awkwardly shrugged. She then turned to Nacht who nodded silently. She took a deep breath.
“No. Absolutely not,” Discordia declared, raising her head high. “I refuse to let you marry in such a drab manner.”
“Drab?” Josele squawked.
Discordia’s grimoire rose to her side and two tendrils of blood took what Nacht had been carrying, a pair of garment bags. A third tendril pushed him next to Josele.
“I suppose my gifts will see use sooner than I expected…”
“I told you gifts weren't necessary,” Nacht groaned.
“Quiet,” Discordia snapped back. “Nacht and Joey, as your cousin first and Queen of Lumi Kingdom second, I present these to you. May they be the first of many gifts and luxuries you enjoy in marriage.”
The blood tendrils opened the garment bags. The first held a full suit: all black save for the dress shirt, with golden buttons and hem detailing on the vest and jacket. The second had a knee-length dress inside: black with a ruffled, off-the-shoulder neckline and a purple ribbon tied into a bow at the waist. The fabric and sewing technique gave away the high quality.
“Dia, they’re lovely,” Josele whispered as she stroked the dress’s fabric.
“And you’ll wear them today, won’t you?”
“Since you went out of your way to bring them, we couldn’t possibly refuse.” Josele then looked to Nacht. “Right, honey?”
Nacht sighed but smiled. “I suppose we’ll be wearing them eventually…”
“Excellent!” Discordia cheered and clapped her hands, albeit a bit awkwardly with Harmonia in her arms. “Let’s get you looking like a bride, Joey!”
…..
“Uh… Aren’t those…?”
The priest officiating the wedding pointed to Gimodelo, Plumede, Slotos, and Walgner as they stood alongside the members of House Faust, watching the proceedings. The clerk awkwardly kept her eyes down on the paperwork that would be signed.
“Devils? Yes they are,” Nacht answered while avoiding the priest’s gaze. “Please don’t mind.”
The priest took a deep breath and nodded. With that, he began his speech. Words regarding marriage and the sacredness of it were spoken. When prompted, Josele and Nacht each gave their “I do”s. Then, the priest indicated that it was time to share the vows.
Nacht went first.
“Josele, my guiding star, my guardian angel. They say ‘if you love someone, let them go. And if they return, they are meant to be yours.’ We’ve lived through that saying, and now I’ll hold onto you for eternity. I love everything about you, from your smile to your kindness to the sight of you asleep. Though I struggled to show it in the past, my love for you is real. It’s stronger than any devil and will last forevermore. Nothing will keep us apart from now on. If devils from the depths of the Underworld were to come and wish you harm, I'd be there to protect you. I know it from the depths of my soul. I don't ask for all of your heart, but however much of it you offer, I wish to protect it with all that I am.”
Then it was Josele’s turn.
“Nacht, my darling prince who guards me from the shadows. You are half my world, half of my heart. I love your earnest efforts, steadfast devotion, and how you find a way to show your love, even if it takes some time. It’s worth the wait though, you’re worth the wait. All the joys and pains we've experienced together affirm my undying love for you. Should you ever find yourself lost in grief or threatened by mortal pain, I’ll be there beside you, saving you as you saved me. I would walk through Hell to find you and guide you home and then to Heaven's gates. I love you for who you once were, the man you've grown to become, and who you will be in the future.”
Where their audience was seated, there was a range of reactions. The Bremen devils were openly weeping over the words shared. Heinrich fanned his face with fervor and tears visible in his eyes. Ida wore a poker face but the tears streaming down her face told another story. As for Discordia, she smiled as she dabbed the corners of her eyes with a handkerchief.
The exchange of non-rings came next.
Though not traditional, the necklace and earrings that were exchanged were given as tokens of Josele and Nacht’s love, their bond. Each in their own way reminded the couple of darknesses in their pasts, but also made way for brighter, more beautiful futures.
“Nacht,” Josele whispered once he wore the earrings. “Do I look…?” She tilted her head to the side, causing the light to reflect differently, as if to frame Josele’s beauty in the glow.
“Absolutely breathtaking…”
Josele let out a squeak and turned her suddenly red face away.
“Ugh, get a room!” Ida called from her seat.
“Shush! Really now?” scolded Heinrich.
“We know they’re going to fuck later so I don’t—”
“With the exchange done!” the priest yelled over Ida. His outburst got everyone’s attention back on track. He cleared his throat and resumed. “With the exchange of jewels complete, by the authority invested in me by God, I now pronounce you husband and wife.” He turned to Nacht. “You may kiss the bride.”
As both beamed brighter than the sun, Nacht and Josele kissed one another.
Happy. Eager. Warm. Fulfilled. Those emotions and many more were wrapped in a single kiss.
It was a moment that was built upon years of longing and heartache. On hidden feelings of love and overwhelming fears. Uncertain confessions led to hesitating embraces which grew in confidence each time they touched. Until eventually, Josele and Nacht were able to profess their love plainly, as their affection for one another was a fact of life to them.
There was no shedding the guilt and pain they’d felt over the years. Not entirely. But their love made the heavy memories an easier burden. One made even lighter by the fact that it was theirs to share.
Josele was the first to pull from the kiss. Just enough to look at Nacht through teary eyes. Nacht gave Josele a second kiss, a fleeting peck, before their guests, their family, rushed up to them.
“Congratulations!” Heinrich proclaimed. “What a handsome pair you make!”
“Let’s get a better look at those jewels, shall we?” giggled Discordia “My my my! How exquisite!”
“What the hell, you two? Did you have to go and make me cry?” Ida said as she slapped Nacht on the back. “You're so fucking mushy, it's gross…”
There were smiles, tears, and laughter as the joy of Nacht and Josele's marriage filled each person's heart.
…..
Later, after the paperwork was signed making the union as official as it could be, the family returned to Faust Manor for dinner.
“Your cooking is absolutely lovely,” Discordia remarked before taking a sip of wine. “But why not get something catered on your special day?”
“Mm, we just felt like doing it ourselves,” Josele replied. She turned her attention to Harmonia, who she had bouncing on her knee. “Plus, all that work makes holding this little cutie pa-tootie all the more rewarding! Yes you are, Harmonia! You’re just the cutest little thing in the world! Such a sweet little baby!” She lifted up Harmonia and blew a raspberry into the baby’s cheek, making her squeal in delight.
Ida snickered, “Oh-ho boy! Hope you’re ready for a work out, Nacht. Something tells me that your wife wants to be a mom real soon.” She wiggled her eyebrows playfully before taking another bite of food.
Nacht, pink in the face, scowled but gave Ida no reply. Giggling softly, Josele leaned over and kissed Nacht’s cheek, making his blush grow deeper but also breaking his frown.
“No need to rush having kids,” Heinrich said with a blithe grin. “They’ll happen when they happen.”
“But you’ll have kids eventually, right?” Discordia questioned. “You’d be wonderful parents. But also, I would love for Harmonia to have cousins.”
“We’ve discussed it,” Josele started to say while letting Harmonia grasp her hand. “We’ll have kids.”
“But not right now,” Nacht said, finishing Josele’s statement. He held Josele’s free hand, rubbing the back of it with his thumb.
Josele and Nacht knew they would have kids. But that was a thought for later on in the future.
At least for the time being, they would settle for being married, as it was only one of many milestones paving their future life. They’d linger on the joy of calling each other “husband” and “wife.” Though the words would be sweetly whispered, like a secret, for a short while. Others would be told of Nacht and Josele’s marriage, eventually.
Until then, the small circle of their family and the shadows were witnesses to their union.

Discordia hummed a small little tune as she read her most favorite book in the large window that sat in her room. Well, this wasn’t really her room. At least not yet. First, she would have to marry the ‘owner’ of said room, which she hadn’t done yet, and wouldn’t do for a while. There were something's he needed to sort out with his family first, but after that they could get married. She nearly laughed, one would think he was arguing with his family to marry her because he loved her.
But that was far from the truth.
They weren’t marrying for love, they were getting married because they needed each other. Discordia needed him so she could get away from her family, and so she could obtain power. While her fiancé married her, so he could get the throne and so that he wouldn’t have to marry someone his family chose for him.
If he was going to be in a loveless marriage anyway, it might as well be to someone attractive. That’s what he had said.
Discordia sighed as she softly closed her book, the only thing she hadn’t realized when she left was how much she would miss her family, well, certain members of her family.
She missed her cousin Morgen, her cousin’s fiancé Josele, her cousin Ida, and she even missed Nacht. But she would never admit to the last one. She wondered how they were all doing, in her last letter from Morgen he had said they were all pretty busy these days but were otherwise well. He told her that he didn’t get to see Nacht very much because he was always doing something secretive, and would always dodge the subject when Morgen brought it up.
Discordia had smiled sadly as she read that, she knew exactly what Nacht and the rest of the family were doing, after all, it had been her inheritance first.
Nacht, and the rest of the family, were doing Devil Rituals. And from what she had heard from her parents, Nacht had been able to summon 4 devils so far! She had rolled her eyes as they quietly talked in anger about having a useless daughter instead of a son, but otherwise she wanted nothing to do with the Ritual or Devils.
She had sighed softly before she went back to reading Morgen’s letter, she didn’t want to think about the terrible memories and the anger that went with them. Instead, she wanted to focus on something more happy and joyful, which is what she got as she continued to read.
Morgen began to tell her about how excited he was about his upcoming wedding, and that he hoped she would be able to attend, but would also understand if she was unable to. He also jokingly mentioned how he and Josele were eagerly awaiting their invitations to her wedding, and said he would never forgive her if it overlapped with his.
Discordia chuckled as the memory of reading his letter popped into her mind and then faded away. But her laughter died as she suddenly felt an odd presence in her room, it wasn’t a human, it was something else.
She quickly jumped up and created a long rapier with her blood magic before whirling around to face the intruder. She blinked in confusion as her eyes traveled down to the floor to see some small, dark creature standing there. It eyes stared at the tip of her rapier nervously, and she could see its body trembling.
“ Who…Are you?” Discordia asked, obviously she knew it was a devil even though she hadn’t seen one personally. But she thought…they were supposed to bigger and more intimidating than this little one was.
“ G-Gimodelo, My Scary Lady!” The devil squeaked in fright, Discordia raised a brow, ‘Scary Lady’? But disregarded that comment as she waved her hand to dismiss the spell. She recognized his name as one of the Devils for House Faust, but he wasn’t quite what she was expecting.
“ I know who you are, I apologize for not recognizing you,” Discordia said before she frowned and crossed her arms. “ But may I ask what you’re doing here?”
The devil looked around a little nervously.
“ Master Nacht said you needed to come home,” Gimodelo said softly, Discordia scoffed before she promptly turned around to return to her window.
“ Who does he think he is, bossing me around?” Discordia muttered. “ I mean, really, does he think I can just drop everything and come back to Clover on a whim?”
“ Lady Discordia,” Gimodelo said softly as he came up behind her and tugged on the bottom of her skirt, as though he were a young child trying to get her attention. “ I really think you should go home, Miss, it’s urgent.”
Discordia stared down at the devil, seeing the earnest and almost pleading look in his eyes made her heart sink. Something must’ve happened…something terrible.
—---
Discordia’s feet carried her towards House Faust as quickly as they could, the sky was overcast, and she could even feel a few raindrops fall onto her head, but she didn’t care. Right now, she had to make it to House Faust and get some answers from the only living relative she had left; Nacht.
She wildly threw the door open to House Faust and looked around to see her cousin sitting on the couch, alone, and with his head hanging down. Discordia felt tears pool in her eyes. They weren’t tears of relief or of happiness at seeing him alive, they were the tears of anger, sadness, and grief.
She walked over to him in quick and determined strides, she grabbed the scruff of his shirt and pulled him up and off the couch. Making him stand in front of her.
“ What the hell happened Nacht?” She asked through gritted teeth, she was trying her best to restrain herself. He looked at her with a pale, tear stained face, and with dull, lifeless eyes.
“ You’re here, dear cousin. And here I was, worried that you wouldn’t make it.” Nacht muttered, his tone cold and lifeless, it was as though someone had come and sucked all the life out of him.
“ What the hell happened Nacht?!” Discordia repeated, her voice loud and angry. Nacht just stared at her.
“ I killed them all, and Ida…Ida ran away,” Nacht admitted quietly, and Discordia felt her heart stop in her chest and confusion cloud her mind. He…he killed them all? How? That didn’t make sense! And not to mention that Ida was now missing?! Just what happened while she was away?!
“ Explain. Now.”
“ I…I did another devil ritual,” Nacht began softly, his voice void of any emotion. “ And I happened to summon Lucifugus, I thought I could handle it, I’ve already summoned and mastered four devil’s powers, so one more shouldn’t be too difficult? At least that’s what I thought.”
“ Morgen…he snuck into the chamber to see what we were doing, and he tried to stop me like he always did. But I wouldn’t listen, I wanted the challenge of trying to beat Lucifugus and master his magic…and it all blew up in my face. He killed our parents, killed your parents, he wiped out the entire Faust line. Including Morgen,” Nacht paused, his voice finally showing the slightest bit of emotion.
“ Morgen…he jumped into the magic circle to save me…he destroyed the bracelet and sent Lucifugus back into the underworld, but…”
“ But what?” Discordia asked, her knuckles having turned white as she gripped his collar tighter and tighter with every word he said.
“ I tried to save him, I used my shadow magic to get him to Josele. If anyone could save him, she could, you know that as well as I do,” Nacht said, his voice getting a little more emotion as he spoke. “ I got there quickly, he was still breathing when we arrived, so I…I don’t know why Josele couldn’t save him, why she couldn’t bring him back…but at the end of the day, I’m the one to blame. Because of me, he-.” Nacht didn’t get to finish his sentence as he felt a quick but firm slap across his face.
He blinked in surprise as he saw Discordia staring at him coldly, tears falling freely down her cheeks, his face stung from where her hand had connected with his cheek. But that didn’t compare to the hurt he felt in his chest as he saw the rage and hurt in his cousin's eyes.
“ You bastard,” She growled as she pushed his chest hard.” You cocky son of a bitch!’’ She roared as she hit his chest with her fists and continued to push him until he finally just…stopped moving backwards.
Nacht allowed her to use him as her punching bag, after all, they both knew he deserved this or worse. Her hitting, yelling, and swearing at him were all the things he wanted to do to himself if he could. Especially after what he’d done, not only to his family, but to Josele as well. Finally, her punches and swearing had less and less force, showing that she was running out of steam, and eventually her arms fell limply to her sides and her head hung low.
“ It wasn’t enough to take and ruin my life, but you had to go and do the same to Morgen’s? All because you couldn’t get over that stupid ego of yours?” She asked lowly, but her voice full of cold malice.
“ It should’ve been you who died,” She continued. “ Why wasn’t it you?”
“ I’ve been asking myself the same thing ever since that day, I also wish it had been me who died instead of Morgen…I’ll forever wish it hadn’t been him.” Nacht said softly as he looked down at his cousin, his tone void of emotion again as tears fell onto his cheeks.
Discordia cleared her throat and wiped her tears, at least that was the one thing they could agree on. She wiped her tears and crossed her arms before she looked up at him again.
“ And what happened to Ida? You said she ran away? Didn’t you look for her?”
“ I did,” He admitted emotionlessly. “ But I couldn’t find her, not even with my shadow magic. I’m going to continue searching for her but…she doesn’t want to be found, at least not right now,”
Discordia nodded, silently hoping the girl would return home sooner rather than later. She would be in Clover for a few more days after Morgen's funeral, since she had to bury her parents, so she would try and search for Ida herself. Since Nacht wasn’t having any luck.
“ When’s the funeral?”
“ Tomorrow, and Josie and Morgen will need family there, to comfort and send him off well.” Nacht muttered, causing her to frown.
“ Where will you be? Are you not going to your own brother’s funeral?”
“ I don’t deserve to be there…not when I’m the reason for his being there.” Nacht muttered as he sat back down on the couch. “ Besides…I think I’m the last person Josie will want to see right now.”
“ What did you do to her?” Discordia asked, in a warning tone, if he said or did something to Josele…Discordia would seriously kill him where he sat.
“ I…said some very cruel and hurtful things to her that I shouldn’t have. And I need to apologize but…I…I can’t.”
“ Coward,” Discordia muttered before she turned around. “ You act all tough and strong, but in reality you’re a pathetic coward who won’t even apologize to his dead brother’s fiancé after he acted like an ass. Typical, for someone like you.” She added as she began to walk away, she couldn’t stand the sight of her cousin any longer.
“ I’ll be at his funeral, so don’t worry, I won’t abandon Joey and Morgen like you.” Discordia threw over her shoulder as she walked out of House Faust and slammed the door shut behind her.
—-----
Discordia walked up to Morgen’s casket quietly, this wasn’t right, he wasn’t supposed to be here…not yet, not so soon. He was supposed to get married, have children, and grow old. But now…now he would forever be a 19-year-old angel. She smiled fondly, she had always called him an angel ever since they were young, while she called Nacht the devil. She nearly laughed, how ironic the nicknames were now after all that has happened.
She reached into the casket and gently placed her letter to him under his hands. She never got the chance to respond to his last letter when he was alive, so before the funeral she had quickly written one out. The parchment was wet with tear stains and some of the ink had smudged, but she knew it would be alright and Morgen wouldn’t mind. After all, she was his big sister, and she could almost do no wrong in his eyes.
At least that’s what she would say when he asked when they met again someday.
Discordia stepped back into the crowd and looked around, there were a lot of his Squad Mates standing there, and even his former Captain Julius Novachrono was there. It was just as she expected, all the people he had helped, all the people he loved, and all the people who greatly cared for him were there.
Except for two, and they were the most important; Nacht and Josele.
After a few minutes, she saw Josele appear from the crowd, and she quietly walked towards his casket. Discordia watched silently, her heartbreaking at the scene that was unfolding in front of her eyes. This wasn’t right…this wasn't supposed to be how their love story ended. When Josele walked towards him, it was supposed to be her in a beautiful gown with a bouquet of flowers in her hands. While Morgen was supposed to be in a sharp looking suit and standing at the other end of the aisle. Waiting for his soulmate to take his hand and spend the rest of her life with him, but instead it turned out like this.
Discordia watched as Josele quickly ran away, she moved to follow her but felt someone reach out to grab her hand in order to stop her.
“ Just let her go, I think she needs some time.” Discordia’s eyes widened at the familiar voice, there was no way…her head snapped in the direction of the voice and her eyes widened more.
It was her fiancé; Moros Helheim, Crown Prince of the Lumi Kingdom.
“ How would you know what she needs? You don’t know Josele like I do, you haven’t even met her, and you think you know what she needs more than I do?” She asked as she yanked her arm out of his grip and chased after her sister-in-law.
“ Joey! Joey, it’s me, please come back!” Discordia shouted as she looked around, but didn’t see nor sense her sister–in-law, or her sister-in-law’s mana.
Josele had disappeared.
“ Joey…” Discordia suddenly felt a hand on her shoulder and sighed before she slowly turned around.
“ She’ll be alright, from what you’ve said, she’s a very strong woman. She’ll make it through this.” Moros said, and Discordia quickly shrugged his hand off her shoulder.
“ Even the strongest of people need help and support sometimes,” Discordia said as she began to walk away. “ But I guess you wouldn’t know anything about that since you’ve always been weak.”
“ Ouch, your words are extra scathing today, my lady,” Moros said, feigning hurt as he put a hand on his chest. “ Come, let’s go back to my residence and talk privately.”
“ Let me guess, this ‘residence’ of yours is either a brothel or an inn? Or is it both?” She asked curiously and with a sharp, knowing tone. Moros chuckled, but quickly waved her words away.
“ It isn’t a brothel. It is a small, hole in the wall, inn. It’s so obscure that my guards would never even think of looking for me there,” Moros said with a charming grin, causing Discordia to roll her eyes at him. “ So how about it?”
“ Fine, as long as it isn’t a brothel.” She muttered as she walked past him. “ Lead the way, your majesty.”
“ As you wish, Lady Discordia.”
The two walked silently to his inn, a low rumble of thunder could be heard as they grew closer and closer to their destination. But sighed in relief as they had just barely beat the rainstorm. Moros led her up the small staircase, down the hall, until they reached the very end where his room was located. He opened the door and allowed her to step inside first, she nodded in thanks before he stepped in behind her and closed the door.
He walked over to the small table and grabbed the bottle of red wine that sat in the center, he opened it and poured its contents into a pair of glasses. She raised a brow as he handed a glass to her.
“ I’m not old enough to drink,” She said as she crossed her arms, Moros smirked at her.
“ You are in Lumi, and I won’t tell if you won’t,” He said with a playful wink. “ Besides…you look like you could use one.” He added in a more serious tone as he kept the glass outstretched.
She looked at him for a moment before taking the glass from him and taking a sip. It had a bitter taste initially, but after she swallowed, she found it had a sweet and dark aftertaste. It wasn’t bad, and it definitely took the edge off this crappy day.
“ What the hell are you doing here, Moros?” Discordia asked as she set her wine glass down and looked at her fiancé, who just tilted his head.
“ Isn’t showing up during times like this something a good husband does?” He asked, his tone curious as he swirled his glass of wine around.
“ ‘A good husband’?” She scoffed as she crossed her arms. “ We aren’t even married yet, and you’re far from being a good husband. If I hadn’t entered that stupid contract with you none of this would have happened.’’
“ How do you figure?” Moros asked calmly, still swirling the wine in his glass around. Discordia quirked a brow at him.
“ If I hadn’t entered that stupid contract with you, I wouldn’t have left for Lumi three months ago! If I hadn’t agreed to it, I would have been here and Morgen would still be alive!” Discordia said, anger lacing each sharp word as she walked towards Moros. The man sighed softly before he set his glass down and stood up.
“ Are you claiming that all of this is my fault in some way?” He asked with a curious tone as he walked towards her, and she nodded.
“ It is, or at least you contributed to it. I could have saved him if I had been here, I could have kept him from going into that damned basement and getting killed, but instead I was off in a faraway land with you!” Discordia spat with pure venom and disdain in her voice, but Moros didn’t flinch or react at all. His face remained calm and statue like.
“ Why are you blaming me for you something you did?” He asked, his tone still curious but with a serious edge to his voice. “ You could have said no, you could have backed out of the contract at any point during the last three months, but instead you stayed. Knowing fully well that something like this could happen, and you still stayed. So the person you should be angry at, and the person you should be blaming for all of this, is yourself.”
Discordia reached her hand up and swung it towards his face, hoping to land a good hard slap across his face. But he reached up and grabbed her wrist in midair, he held it firmly in his hand before he forced it back down.
“ You are going through some call ‘survivor’s guilt’. You were supposed to be there that day, along with the rest of your family. You were supposed to die that day, but instead you survived, by selfishly leaving your family to pursue your own wants and dreams.” Moros continued calmly, his tone and words only making her more angry.
“ Shut up!” She shouted in anger as she raised her other hand to slap him, but he caught it in his other hand and held it firmly. She began to fight and struggle against him, her hands reaching up to push and shove against his chest, before she tried to wiggle them out of his grip.
But Moros wouldn’t let her go, instead he continued holding her wrists, he held them firmly but not tightly, so she could easily get out of his grip if she wanted. But she didn’t. He watched as tears of sadness, anger, and guilt fell from her eyes and onto her cheeks before falling to the floor.
Finally, after a few minutes of struggling, Discordia gave up an and sank to her knees, with Moros following suit. She sobbed nearly uncontrollably as he had hit the nail on the head as to why she was so angry; because she felt guilty for surviving while everyone else had died, everyone but Nacht of course.
Moros didn’t say a word, he didn’t try to reach out and comfort her, instead he just watched her cry and sob. That’s what she needed right now, she needed to let out all of those feelings she was keeping pent-up inside.
Discordia’s sobs turned into sniffles before she suddenly froze, realization suddenly striking her. Moros’s magic…he was able to revive the dead, which meant…
“ You can bring him back, can’t you?” She asked quietly, her head snapping up so fast that it surprised him.
“ Bring who back?”
“ Morgen, my cousin, you can bring him back with your magic can’t you? You’re able to revive the dead right?” She asked quickly, Moros nodded slowly.
“ Yes, but-.” She quickly cut him off.
“ Bring him back, right now, today, bring Morgen back!” She ordered, her tone almost pleading with him. This was how she could fix everything, how she could make Josele happy again, how she could Nacht to stop blaming himself, and how she could rid herself of this survivor’s guilt.
And to top it all off, they could be a family again.
“ My magic doesn’t work like that, Lady Discordia, it takes time-.”
“ How much time?”
“ I’m not sure, it could be a few days, weeks, or even months. Especially since he was killed by a devil and with forbidden magic, so it may even take years. And even if I do manage to bring him back, he may not be the same as he once was.” Moros warned in a serious tone, but Discordia just shook her head.
“ I don’t care how long it takes, just bring him back, and in return…I’ll give you an heir.” She watched as his face finally changed from calm and Stoic to one of surprise. One of Discordia’s conditions in the contract had been that she not be asked or forced to produce an heir, and that if wanted one so badly, he could take a concubine and have her produce one for him. So for her to offer this showed him just how desperate she was to fix this.
“ But you said you wanted your parent's legacies to die with you, which is why I agreed to not have any children.”
“ I still feel that way, but if you manage to bring Morgen back, I’ll give you the heir you long for. Hell, I’ll give you 20 heirs if you manage to do it,” She reached her hands up and griped his shirt tightly in her hands. “ Just do this one thing for me…please.”
Hearing her soft, pleading tone, and the way she repeatedly begged for him to do this for her, made his heart ache in his chest. He had never seen her look so…vulnerable, so desperate. He was attracted to her strength, but now found that he was also attracted to her weakness. He reached out and placed his hands on her shoulders.
“ Alright, I’ll do my best, but I make no promises that I’ll be able to do it. Nor that he will be the same Morgen you once knew if I am able to bring him back, you understand that, right?” He asked, and he watched her look of desperation change into something else.
“ I understand, just like I hope you understand, that if you aren’t able to do these things…I will kill you.” She told him in a dangerously low tone, her blue eyes turning dangerous, and her grin showing she meant what she said. Moros chuckled, that was the Discordia he knew. He smirked back at her before he leaned forward, with a dangerous smirk of his own.
“ Then I’ll definitely have to try my best, Lady Discordia.”
