what I love the most out of Salieri’s biography, is how everyone, even him, are openly admitting that Salieri himself never had any real talent for music, just a good hearing and singing voice, and yet despite that with his hard work he’s the one to become one of the most prominent kapellmeisters in history and technically holding more authority, something even god-gifted Mozart couldn’t achieve despite aiming for same position
