Javert is damned by realizing that he was wrong, Valjean is damned because he continues to discover he is right
#AgUHUHHHvw ejenejeuwveudbdjejfbfknddn#he is chained by concious and denies himself seeing his own child#he thinks life is something other people get#idk if javert was happy in his position but it was way more easy that changing his ways#Valjean begs for the relief of escaping concious and his duty to gid#but he can’t#he cant escape it#and we can debate whether Valjean is right in his sacrifice of himself#but that doesnt change that to him that is the only way thats acceptable#some part of his heart is fighting for the right to be selfish but he knows whats right and never finds any reason to change his mind#not from the outside world like javert#the brick#jean valjean#les mis#javert#mine
